I feel like a kid in the candy store what with all the replies.......I was afraid this was going to be very cynical like the khwiki.net ....

 

You are a child in a candy store. You wake up from a deep sleep and arrive in the front hall of an enormous Hohenzollern-inspired castle built of cinnamon sticks and chocolate and cheery granola. Candy as far as the eye can see, yet is it to taste per your own desires? It is up to you to decide, for times in this economy are tough, and the media has made all of you children fear candy. But you. You were the adventurous. You fought back the cynicism towards the good things in life, and embraced it with the shadow of a sharp-witted enthusiast.

So here you stand today, within the candy castle, unsure of what to do with yourself but walk forward. Walk, walk, continue as your clogged steps hit the tough chocolate marble floor, dusted in that dusty-chocolate way like stale bars in an ancient vending machine at the back of a worn-out community center pool. But what's this? You come across nothing more than a sign that says "KH-Vids".

You grab this sign and realize, with a bit of gnawing, that it is made not of a hardened toffee confection, but of wood. A blackwood, pure and simple, like a carcinoma among the fatty, saccharine arches and vaults. A cavity on this idyllic world. You realize that this sign is not of the castle, but of a civilization long gone. A reality that existed not in the halls of sugar and stone but in the minds of those who built a realm above the clouds and above the ground. Where heaven and earth were but the bottom of a vast sea, and the surface was a flowing mist of thought and joy.

It was the realm, this KH-Vids, that brought such sweetness into the life of many. Though they stay not anymore, whether they have long gone or have ascended beyond the need for chocolate delights, their hopes and dreams lay within the confines of the castle alone, taking the very form that is so universally loved by all children.

And so you, who grasp this relic in your hands, grasp the very hopes and dreams that built this candy castle. And it is only hoped, in your time here, you may taste these hopes, these dreams, so that you too can equally share the sensation brought upon from the candy of jovial friends and fun times past. That is to say, of course, because it does not look like you will be leaving anything soon.
