He is a pain in the A** on the GBA version. Any tips on how to beat him?

Ya, don't suck lol. Just kiddin.

I don't know if this will also work for the GBA but what I always did on the PS2 game was focus more on cardbreaking. Try to keep high-numbered cards in your deck. Then keep a close eye on your opponents cards and yours. Whenever he uses a card, try to skip to one of yours that can beat it. Don't just use sleights because you won't get some of your cards back. Whenever he uses a sleight, try to make one that can beat his. Don't always jump in for an attack because he can easily cardbreak you and move in for the attack. Just keep your distance and watch his moves. Then cardbreak him when opportunity strikes. You may also waste a couple sleights just to cause some damage but be carefull on how many cards you use by doing so. This is the technique I used throughout the whole game and did fairly well. I did lose a couple times but only because I did something stupid or spent too much time trying to look for a certain card. It might also help to have plenty of blizzard cards in your deck as well.

Another tip is to be prepared when he turns red because that's when he uses one of his main moves which can cause some serious damage. So be ready to cardbreak it or heal if you don't have strong enough cards ready.

    Hope that helped a little.

Use a Calm Bounty, learn Blizzard Raid, and make a deck based on that. I honestly don't see how people have so much trouble against him.

his sleights need to be broken so have 0 cards.
as long as you break you shouldn't have much trouble... he is Eeaasy!

Blizzard Raid truly does help. His attacks aren't that hard to dodge. Just dodge roll. If he gets near you, dodge roll.

    dodge or break basically...
    break if you can't dodge
    dodge if you can

Throw anything that has to do with blizzard into your deck. If you were lucky enough to get 3++ blizzard cards earlier, hades should be toast. Stock your blizzards and AIM. If you miss him, it'll be a pain if the a** for you, but if you hit him, it's going to be a pain in the a** for him. Blizzaga can knock almost half a life bar off hades. Blizzara, blizzard as well as blizzard raid works well, they just need some aiming.

At worst, Blizzard Raid should hit twice, which does about half of the damage that Blizzaga does. But since Blizzard Raid only uses one Blizzard per Sleight, and can hit maybe up to 3, 4, or even 6 times, Blizzard Raid would work better.

Oh yeah, and just so you know, he can only do that little poof of fire attack and move around slowly when he's blue. So if you keep on Breaking his Temper Flare Sleight, he'll never turn red, which is when he moves around fast and use those flamethrower or Firaga Ball attacks.

first go to halloween town. beating it will give you the oggie boogie card that will help heal you. then get blizard raid. put about 1 cure,3 blizard cards, and the rest attacks. first keep attacking him, in this version he won't do a fire coming out of his hands attack. just play regualy. i would wait for him to use the hades enemy card to use blizard raid so it can do more damage. you can do what ever you want. finish him off by yelling " can you smell what the rock is cooking"

Weaknesses and resistances don't stack, actually, so Ice attacks will do the same amount of damage whenever you attack him with one.

It's all about card breaks. I'm guessing you're talking about his annoying fire spin attack, there's no way to avoid it I think, you need to have 0s at the front of your deck for easy access to stop the attack.

He doesn't have a fire spin attack in Chain of Memories. It's also a better idea to have the 0s at the end of your deck so that you can just scroll a couple cards to the left to Break a nasty attack. Saves time at the start of the battle so you don't have to scroll through a whole bunch of 0s to get to your attacks.

Quz dumbo is sjooting water, it is ofcorse really effective at the heat headed Hades.
For the rest i recommend you to use much card combinations!

Use your keyblade to keep on hitting him until he dies.

^ That's a really good and complex strategy VGN! How'd you think of it?
