I've tried to teach people how to hack bit's and pieces before. to be honest, you need a certain amount of brain power and experience with code using before you even attempt to try and hack anything. creating some sort of tutorial section will create more questions from users who have no prior knowledge than it will answer questions for the limited amount of code vault regulars. the only thing that might work, if anything, a series of Video tutorials made by people selected by the Coders, which is a lot more hands-on than just reading something, and will teach someone who's genuinely interested a lot better. i've found that trying to explain something to someone who doesn't understand much about it is almost a complete waste of time.
    [/2 cents]

i do see a lot of problems with what i'm saying, but i do agree that we need people at the code vault to understand things more, especially people who weren't around when the codes were made (which is basically everyone now). this'd clear up lots of confusion.

"hacking" accounts and RAM hacking are two completely different things.

    yeah its completely different

and all im asking is for a chance at it and if its not hellpful then just delete the section

    trust me

my ways of teaching are very easy.

    very

it will be a step by step process

    and i agree with u

i think that if it were a sub section or an entire section(either one will do) i think it will be much more orginaized

    EDIT:

    CHECK THIS THREAD OUT

U SEE THIS WAY IT MIGHT CUT DOWN SPAM AND REQUEST THREADS TOO
    http://www.kh-vids.net/showthread.php?p=2904919&posted=1#post2904919

THIS IS ANOTHER REASON WHY WE SHOULD HAVE A HACKING GUIDE SECTION

    AND BTW

IF AND WHEN AN ADMIN MAKES IT

MAKE SURE TO ONLY LET ME OR OTHER GUIDE AUTHORS POST NEW THREADS AND CODERS

OR SOMEONE WHO HAS PROOF THAT ITS A GUIDE AND NOT A REQUEST THREAD.

I love the idea of this, but it'll take more than one guy to put it all together, you realize that Luxord? Video tutorial are a good idea, but in my experience, an actual voice explaining this things whie the videos going would work much MUCH better than various tutorials you see that have some guy typing in the instructions on Wordpad. just my ideas though.

Also, Luxord, a word of advice. Don't make these guides so idiot proof that it takes a while to get at what we want to actually know. This may not happen, but I've seen it far too often with other guide/FAQ writers. All power to ya.

Yea but you do know that one day the coders wont be there. :.-.:
So if you need a code ported and you have no one else to go to your out of luck.
Thats why we ened a hacking section.

I'm in favor of this idea. It can be a single stickied-thread, with the tutorials in links/the attachments, or it can be an entire section. I'm against making a new usergroup, but it's possible that we could bring on another one or two Coders for this. Though the six of us could probably handle it. If any unnofficial Coders make tutorials, they can be posted into the Code Vault, and then moved into the tutorial section by a Coder.

We'll see how many people are making these first.

    Codemasters Project.

    [/thread]

They've done more code hacking than a subsection on a Kingdom Hearts fan-site ever will. Go learn from them, since they've taken the time and effort to arrange guides and stuff.

IMO, a hacking guide section seems unnecessary. *shrugs*

Pretty much, this would be probably the best idea I've heard. I am not crazy about making a new user group since there is really no need for it. You could make the hacking guide threads and they could be moved to the tutorial section and another sticky thread there could be made to keep a log of each thread that goes to the hacking guide as it is worked on, since really, that is where it belongs and I think it would be most beneficial. If someone contributes a lot to the guide, then the Coders can decide whether to bring on someone, but a hacking guide is part of coding still so it would belong there.

Of course, if there are a lot of threads posted, it may be beneficial to make a section in the Code Vault for it but lets see first how big this will actually get. Sound fair enough?

what Erkz said, that site already has all the guides and everything written out. i think a THREAD would be sufficient for this but quite a few hacking tutorial threads have already been made. but each thread failed pretty hard because the person who created the thread usually loses interest or for whatever reason the thread got locked. also, making threads about guides to hacking a specific game isn't really that good because you're just showing people how to hack codes that have already been hacked which actually completely defeats the purpose of hacking a code. i don't think an entire section would be a very good idea for this site.

It doesn't hurt anything to have a thread start off and see how it goes. If the person quits it, then he does. Maybe if there were links to the old threads that would also help?
