Yeah, been watching it since it aired. It's refreshing in the sense that AU is taking a turn back to more politically-geared elements. SEED/SEED Destiny focused more on human morality and laced most of the political aspects with conflicts of idealism vs reality, which has its own perks, but I'm glad with the stance Gundam 00 has been taking so far. Conflicts seeded by power struggles for natural resources (or essentially human survival) is quite the juxtaposition when you remind yourself of the notion that humanity has advanced quite a bit since the depletion of all the oil supplies on earth. There have been many episodes in Gundam 00 that have been almost strictly all political talk, but they're intriguing and very engaging to listen to nonetheless. I'd have to wait and see before I solidify my judgment. There's obviously more to Celestial Being than meets the eye, and whatever that secret is can either make or break this series, in my opinion. Get back to me after 44 more episodes, haha.
>.>; I like this Gundam as well, though I'm not sure whether I like it better than SEED and SEED Destiny. I find it weird how the alot of times, one main character is somehow psychologically unstable. Lol, I've just started watching, just finished EP2 right about now. Of course, I like how it's already become mysterious about the announcer of Celestial Being. Died 200 years ago...what a classic.
Well, as of now I still like SEED/SEED Destiny, but SEED has given me 100 episodes to formulate that opinion. I'll conclude after the Gundam 00 ends where it stands. One thing is for certain, though: Gundam 00 is undeniably more politics-saavy and far more clever in their presentation of how the opposing powers (HRL, AEU, and Union) push their hidden agendas while managing to escape international scrutiny from the masses. They manage to endlessly intertwine diplomacy in this deceptive tango that just constantly shuffles public opinion back and forth. There are a lot of 'hard truths' that surface constantly in every episode (more so than in Gundam SEED/SEED Destiny), and there still seems to be some prevalence of the Newtype (assuming that explains Allelujah's minor mental breakdown in Ep5). Only thing missing now is a guy with mask. XD
ive watched some of this gundam though i havent watched any other gundam anime... i like this one though
