Just picked it up. Graphics are very nice for the DS and the music quality is great. However, the strumming on the touch screen takes getting used to. Anyone else get it?

I am thinking about playing it (My brother friend has it) but I really don't want to waste time if it isn't any good.

    What songs does it has?

I just got it today myself as an early b-day gift to myself (one more week) and there's quite a few things I'm happy with. The track list is good, the graphics caught me off guard and are good. I also like that it has that adapter for the DS original (which I still have; never did trade it) so those of us without the fancy schmancy Lite can still play.

I think the only thing I find fault with is how cramped the controls feel. I could only play a few songs at a time before stopping for a break because it hurt. Also, this has to be the first time since GH I that I've had to start on Medium; I couldn't keep up with the speed on Hard.

I've figured out that wiggling the pick stylus back and forth during a fast passage acts like strumming up and down, but it tends to miss a bit. Also trying to wor on my timing to press A to get star power; I'm too much of a square to shout "Rock Out!" in public. XD

Haha yea, the strum detection is far from perfect. I am so tempted to yell "ROCK OUT!" in public! xD

Okay, glad to know I'm not the only one missing notes. I swear I hit 'em, and bam. 4 stars.

And I'll yell "Rock OUT!" if you do. XD

i'm a fan of the guitar heroness, but i'm still skeptical about this on the ds. This list of tracks...is that all of them? I mean granted, it is a lot of new songs...but unless there is a lasting appeal and the possibility of more songs or dlc songs...i'm going to stick with Pulse on my ipod.

Those aren't the only songs,* however the others (around 10-12 other songs) aren't too poular. And no, they foolishly did not add Nintendo WFC multiplayer/DLC> I must say though, the game is very fun.

    ROCK OUT!

    Oh, it's on. XD

And those aren't the only songs? Hmm. I haven't seen any bonus songs and I've just beaten Medium. Oh, and I hear rumors about DLC but I wonder if that's true or not. I hope it is...I can imagine a Dragonforce song on this.

*saves that pic* So, from what I've heard...the strum detection is bad and it's hard to use star power...and the track list to me...is lame(kinda). I guess I know what game I'm getting for my B-Day now...Crisis Core away! *goes to tell my brother*
I might buy this game later when I get the chance but...I'd rather not scratch my DS up and get cramps. >_>

Yea, unfortunately those are the only songs. However, I have no doubt that the fine hackers at the ScoreHero forums will eventually find a way to add custom songs to the game.

*shoots for insulting the classic bands listed above*

It's true the strum detection is a bit off, however after about half an hour of play you develop a method of strumming that almost always works (at least I did). Also, Star Power is actually very easy to activate. Aside from being able to use several buttons on the DS to activate it, you can also yell into the mic, blow into the mic, or tap the Star Power meter. The only real problem with this game is the strum detection really, and that problem gets less and less relevant.

I really want to try it, but it seems a bit cramped with the frets. I might ask for it for Christmas...

It looks cramped, but it honestly isn't. The onemain problem is the strum detection, which improves as you learn better strumming methods as you play.
