About a month ago over at scorehero, we started a riot when we heard rumoures of this. AV/NS say rock band is copying them AV/NS Decide to copy rock band. lulz. Like i did with guitar hero 3, ill rent this game and burn it if its like gh3. Linkin park? wtf? and i garuntee Eruption will be on there just to have a song harder than TTFAF.
Actually, guitar hero 80s was forced on them by AV and NS because they wanted to test it out before they bought the Guitar Hero name. thats why it sucked. but HMX is definately the king of music games. ive been playign since FreQuency, and ive always had fun with HMX stuff. if only they could get redoctane making theire instruments again. i LOVE my black SG. borht of them.
Two words: Raining Blood Now, dont tell me crappy is the best way to describe it. More like.. Absolutely ****** horrible useless game-raping idiots fits it a bit better. And IMO, Guitar hero 2 is the closest thing HMX had to perfect notecharts. GH1 had some... wierd things (Bark at the Moon's chords were completely off place) GH80's had What i like about you and Electric Eye (OVVEERRCHARTED) Rock band has Blackened (OOOOOOOVVVVVEEEEEEERRRCHAAAAARTTEEDDDDD WOWWWWWWWW) GH2's closest thing to overcharting would be jordan, which i never really considered to be too much overcharted. Some of the noted in the solo are slightly faster, but thats about it.
Dear god that thing is ugly... And me and my friends make fun of it by caling it stuff like Guitar Band Hero IV: Rock on or Rock Hero IV: Guitar Band just mashign RB and GHIV together. It really is kind of a ripoff, and im in no mood to play drums on dragonforce, so ill stay away from this.
I dont get it, so its going from "Guitar hero" to "Band Hero"? Its not cool, the game was meant for guitar only. It WOULD be cool if they had like, a difficulty after expert, where you can have a double neck guitar. And you have to buy a special guitar.
lets make an epic guitar song with.... 5 notes, and 27 chords.... one of which is using all 5 notes >.> Drums i can see, but why not vocals?

Aren't Rock Band and Guitar Hero both by Harmonix? >_>;; Oh well, this new "create-a-song" looks cool, I guess. But it could fail hard, like people already mentioned.
Egads! The similarities are so uncanny! Yet I can't think of the game it mimics... I'll probably buy it since I already have the Rock Band stuff which will no doubt work with the 360 version (or so help me...).
