im suprised konami has not stepped up to bat on this guitar shiz :/ since konami's DDR sells good and the karioke is far more better than singstar

i honestly hate both guitar games, out of music choice i like guitar hero better though

 

Frequency is older than both of them, and they're all made by the same company. The people who made Guitar Hero had the franchise bought away from them so that they couldn't make any more games, so they created the series Rock Band instead.

Konami came out with a Japan-Arcade-Only series called "Guitar Freak" in 1999, 5 years before Guitar Hero. They also came up with "Drum Mania" in 2000, see here:
