Guess what!

i started an anime club at my school. We're calling it "The Otaku Club!"

 

Otaku is a bit of an insulting name. I don't understand why anime fans call themselves that...

 

I started a gaming club at my school. Starting clubs is fun, isn't it?

 

I'll never understand why you people like that badly dubbed choppily animated shit with some of the most stiff, uninteresting dialog i've ever heard that you call "anime".

 

We'll planning with the teacher/sponcer, she told us to think of a word better than anime. The first thng that came to mind was "otaku".
Ima teach them the haruhi dance.

because it's short and some of us ain't japanese so the insult doesn't really count

but as a friend of mine said, the true meaning of otaku sums up my life

 

it sums up mine too.

 

Otaku isn't exactly a flattering name to call yourself, it's like calling yourself a nigger******

 

well, otaku to me means anime obsessed, and that's basically me.

I get what you're saying, and it sums up my life, too. I wish I could start a club.

 

I tried to make 3 clubs while I was at high school but the Trekkies attack me when they found out (the Trekkies had the Deputy Head Boy as their leader so I stood no chance in political means and was out numbered so I couldn't take em down at once DX)

 

wow. my club isn't an "offical" club at my school. We signed up to late, but the school is still allowing it. so it's more a group of anime obsessed freaks who have nothing else to do.

I looked on one of the members papers, and he said he disliked kingdom hearts. i said it allowed, and there was an uprawr. also a lot of people don't like death note.

 

Why do they not like Death Note? And I can understand them not liking KH since there is Disney in it and it seems like a weird idea for a video game.

 

idk. it did seem wierd, but it worked.

 

Well, what DO you guys do in your club?

 

it was just an into thing.
Next meeting, we have to present an anime, and the one that everyone votes is good we all watch first.
i also came up with a lot ideas that everyone liked.

 

Well, I'd suggest that you'd suggest Gurren Lagann or Death Note. Anyway, what other ideas do you have.

 

well one of my friends is doing death note, so i'm doing TMOHS. I'm gonna show the DN movie, a lock in, a cosplay contest, HHY tutorial, amv contest, ect.

 

Hmm...very interesting. I should probably make a club too...
