Storm grinned as she waved Allora over. She heard Kurisu talking to his helper about how it was rude to say that the Fighting Clan only knew how to pack a punch(that was completely true in her opinion). But she wouldn't know until they started training, now whould she?
"Ya'know, that's completely right. Not only about the Fighting Clan, but about the honest opinion." She whispered, Allora's brow raising.

Back at the Elder's cottage, the old woman went through her Weapon's trunk, and personally hand picked out the ones she thought would work the best for everyone. Among the weapons: A bow and Arrow set, A gold sword, a pair of throwing Knives, and a shield. "Hmmm. Now, I've got all nine."

'Don't you mean ten?'

"That young mind clan girl, she can't go with them. She's not only too young, she's inexperienced. She would perish easily, and we don't want them to think we that we're so desperate we send a seven year old out." The Elder sighed. "I know I was willing to let her go, but after what Joseph said.....it's too dangerous."

 

"That'd be true, if I were teaching you any particular style of fighting, but I'm not." Joseph said, having heard (but apparently not taken offence to) Kurisu's statement.
"What I'm going to be teaching is basic fighting, archery, and how to improvise effectively. All of those are going to be useful to you, regardless of what clan you come from."
He looked around at the others for a moment after finishing.
"Anyone else got complaints? I can wait."

Storm chuckled into her palm, eager now that Archery was on the list of To- Do's. She had always wanted to learn the sport, especially since it was supposed to help train her mind and focus. Not that she needed help with her mind, as she was in the Mind Clan, but her focus.....not that great. Suddenly, a question came to her head, and she asked, "Um, Mr. Fighting Clan teacher guy, are we going to be working with our partners in the basic fighting, like a tag team? Or, are we going against them?"

Allora nudged her Guardian in the gut. "Why would you ask that?" She hissed, sending her a look. "Of course you'd be working with him! That's why you were paired up stupid."

"That's a good question." Joseph answered the Mind-Clan girl, before answering.
"You and your partners are going to be fighting alongside one another in the real world, so you're going to have to know what they are and aren't capable of in order to be able to cover their weaknesses, and have your weaknesses covered by them." he began to explain, before quicking smiling broadly.
"So today's lesson is going to be a freestyle sparring between each of you and your partners. The best way to get to know somebody's style is to fight them yourself. You can begin whenever you want!"
He knew full well he was rushing things; but really he wanted to know just what each of these children were capable of before he gave his approval for them to be sent off.

"Unfortunately for myself I have no partner to train with" Rath said calmly. Although he used the word 'unfortunately' it wasn't actually unfortunate for someone like himself to fight alone. Fighting alone was something he was more willing to do then make a futile effort to work alongside someone. With Jossete now having returned back to here she belonged, Rath was even more willing to fight alone. "I shall take my leave" Rath calmly said as he turned away and proceeded to leave the area.There was no point in this training if he didn't have a partner

Then what do we do if our partner isn'r here yet. Ren thought to himself. . More inportantly how was he going to deal with her helper. It's not like he actually had any training fighting wolves.
You could alway spar with me? Fenrir chimed in.

Mya ran into the area where the others here, breathing heavily. I-I'm terribly sorry! I lost track of time and I totally forgot to make my way here!

Xane behind her yawned. What she meant to say was that she was concerned on how much she should eat. She could get fat so I told her to eat this amount- Mya angrily kicked Xane hard enough to send him flying into the bushes. P-please ignore him. It's not true.

"Now hold on there." Joseph called to Rath as he began to leave.
"Just because you don't have a partner for now doesn't mean you get to go all lone wolf. No offence." he added, looking at the wolf partners of some of the Choosen.
"The Elder will have already arranged for somebody else to team up with you by the time you leave here, and until then you've got me to spar with. You should think yourself lucky; Fighting Aura's just about as close you can get to a Deyanian. You know, without being insane anyway."

Rath immediately stopped upon hearing what Joseph had to say and looked over at his shoulder. Closing his eyes and sighing at the thought of gaining a new partner. Rath turned to face Joseph. He knew that this man would prove to be a really difficult opponent but it was best for him to test himself against this opponent.

Quietly, Allora snorted into the back of her hand. "Oooh, he just got TOLD." She kept giggling until Storm elbowed her in the stomach.
"Ow!" She hissed, rubbing her side and shooting her Guardian a death stare. The Guardian, in turn, just stuck out her tongue and crossed her eyes, the universal sign for 'Shut up and pay attention cause you look rude just looking at me like that.' The Helper Fairy just rolled her own brown orbs and turned back to Joseph tiredly. She didn't have to do anything. Why should she be here?

The Elder swiped her hand across her forehead, grabbing all the weapons out the chest and hauling them downstairs to the living room. 'Lots of work to do....they should be getting here in an hour....Oh, the house isn't clean!'
"Nakimo!" She said loudly. "Clean house, stat!"

The Snow leopard lept up from her seat on the couch and closed her eyes, hearing things swirl around the room as she cast a spell. Oh yes. She wasn't just a Snow Leopard. She was a Magical Snow Leopard.

"Okay everyone, let's get this session started. I want everyone to do their best, but try not to do any permanent damage." Joseph announced, before standing firm opposite Rath.
"You ready, kid? I'm not gonna go easy on you."
With those words, a huge grin adorned his features. It was obvious he enjoyed his job.

"HEY!! LISTEN!!" came an obnoxiously loud voice from somewhere within the small treehouse, as the young girl laying down on the nearby bed continued to sleep.
"WAKE UP, IT'S TIME! IT'S TIME!" the voice continued, getting louder and louder... and more difficult to ignore.
Finally, the girl stirred, opening her eyes and slowly dragging her body up, looking around the room for the source of her annoyance.
"...whutyusayin'?" the sleepy, red-haired girl said, her eyes still half-closed, and not yet able to register what was right in front of her.
"Quit yo' snoozin' and GET! UP!" it cried again, finally causing the girl to jerk fully-awake.
"Wha--?!" she yelped, as her eyes finally rested on the tiny, winged girl that hovered inches away from her face.
"'bout time you came to! I was aboutta get VIOLENT!" the little blond called as her flushed-red cheeks bulged outwards slightly.
"I wuz told you gotta get down to Fighting Clan. THAT WAS HALF AN HOUR AGO! Whatever you were dreaming, it had BETTER have been good!" she yelled.
Cyan just sat there, dumbstruck at what was going on. It seemed almost like this... fairy?... was drunk or something, floating around her room yelling randomly with no reason.
"Um... who are you?"

Storm turned and faced her Partner. "You ready for this?" She asked, not meaning to be rude and impatient.
She just wanted to train. For some strange reason, she felt her heart flutter, then start beating faster. Her body almost started to shake with unused adrenaline, and she had to pretend to shiver to make it go unnoticed. What was this feeling? Was she really itching for a fight? No. Was that just an instinct? Maybe so.
'Okay, two deep breaths in. One deep breath out....And here we go.'

Allora stood by, watching with her ultra sensitive eyes. She could not only see Storm shaking, but she could actually feel it. Her body turned a light pink (which was only seen by the Fairy), which meant her Aura was starting to work on her own. This, Allora decided, was not a very good thing.

"So,what I'm I suppose to do?" Ren asked seeing that his partner has yet arrive.
My offer still stands.
"And so does my answer." He replied

"thats fine. I prefer it if you did not go easy" Rath said calmly as he turned and faced his new mentor. His words showed no sign of being someone who is cocky or anticipating victory. He knew the man before him was skilled and could likely beat him down. Still, he was determined to face new obstacles in order to get stronger.

Descending from the sky and landing on the ground, the huge dragon Fenrir landed next to Allora, making a loud thud noise from landing onto the ground. "training...how dull but at least Rath didn't get teamed up with another newbie" Fenrir muttered quietly as he turned his attention to the choosen that were to begin their training

 

OOC: Not to be rude or anything, but can you guys STOP FAWKING IGNORING ME?

Joseph suddenly looked in the direction of one of the girls, Mya, as though he had just seen something that he hadn't quite believed before now. Motioning to Rath to wait for just a moment, he turned to her.
"Kid, did you just kick your helper into those bushes?" he asked casually, as though he were asking for the time of day from her.

"Who am I?!" the fairy(?) continued to yell.
"Whadya mean, 'who am I?!'" she cried, her eyes half-closed, "GET TO TH' FIGHTING CLAN!"
"You haven't told me who you are, but you're already giving me orders..." Cyan mumbled as she clambered out of her bed, quickly throwing on the closest shirt and pair of jeans that she could find (she didn't want to stick around long enough to annoy her companion much longer).
Placing her jacket over her shoulders carefully, she turned back to the little blond... only to see she had passed out on the bed herself.
"Geez, what are you, six?" she whispered to herself again, before scooping the creature up and putting her in her jacket pocket.
Let me get this straight; I wake up to a fairy breaking and entering my home, who then starts yelling at me to go with her to Fighting Clan, before passing out and sleeping in my pocket? she asked herself, exasperated.
Yeah... the girl's voice rang in her head, though thankfully much softer than before.
"Eh...? I thought you were asleep?" she asked, looking down at the girl.
Yeah...
"Sleep-telepathy. Wonderful." she grunted, as she left the home that sat within the great branches of her tree.

 

Sky smiled slightly as she postioned herself oppersite her partner, this should be fun. She took deep breaths as she remembered what her partner had told her he could do. He was from the sound clan which meant covering her ears would probably be a good move. She tried to remember if she had anything in her pockets she could use to be more practical than that but she did not move yet. She was fast, agile and of course would attack from the air. This meant she could dodge a lot of attacks without too many problems but sound? How do you fight sound? She grinned at him as she tried to figure it out. "So, are you ready to dance?" She asked, with all her twirling her fights did actually look a bit like a dance. However she did it, she was determined to put up a good show and show this little girl was not to be messed with.

Arrow rested calmly on her shoulder, willing his girl to do well, 'Come on, you can do this. Kick his ass' He stared at the boy's pussy cat helper competitivly.
