~Guardians~

Finally dressed, Sky looked at her bird, "You'd better not have been perving on me" She said, narrowing her eyes at him.

'What? I would never, I'm insulted by the very suggestion of it. Do you really think I would sink that low?' Arrow's responce came instantly.

Sky shrugged, "I don't know, maybe. But whatever you say. Fighting Clan we had to go to today, wasn't it?"

'That is correct' The kestral answered, though his feathers were still clearly ruffled by the accusation.

"Well, we'd better get a move on then. See if you can keep up." She said as she went outside and flew up into the air.

Arrow quickly responded bursting into the air, 'I assure you, you will be the one trying to keep up with me'

OOC: Oh crud. Thank you, Heartless, for bumping the thread. I totally forgot about it, with School and what not....
Anywho, let's move on shall we?
BIC:"Well, I'm glad she made it out safe. It's not exactly the best news when any person goes missing, is it not?" The Elder chuckled a bit, leaning on her cane. "So, do you have anything vigorous planned for the Choosen today? Archery? Shooting range? Ooh, maybe Nakimo could chase them around for a while, she needs the exercise."
'Ah! I do NOT need exercise!'

"Whatever Storm." Allora rolled her eyes, walking to her Guardian. "So, are we gonna leave or what? I'm ready to go! Ma'ama's already there!"

 

Kurisu was right outside the window watching the event unfold. "I suppose we shouldn't keep the old lady waiting." he then looked into the kitchen. "Although, you sure you don't want some proper breakfast?..." he asked his partner.

 

"I figured I'd start them off with a sparring match right away, then see what they need to work on. I mean, if they can all go for hours without resting already, I wouldn't need to work on their stamina, you know?" Joseph explained in his usual, casual manner.
It was probably because of his aura clan, but Joseph always aproached combat as though it were a normal part of everybody's lives. It was just his style.
"What are you feeding her anyway? It does look like she's put on a little weight..."
He never was too flattering either.

"Sounds fair enough. Hmmm, Eggs and Bacon'll work." Storm headed off for the burnt kitchen, grateful that the fire didn't burn the Fridge, but just blackened some of the doors.

"And Grits too! And some Toast and Pancakes!" Allora ran after Storm, almost tripping over her boot. "Pleeeeeeeaaasssseeeeeeeee-"

"No. We've gotta hurry. You said The Elder was there, remember?"

"Alright! Seems good. Though, could you add in Archery somewhere if it's okay with you?" The Elder questioned, already turned toward the door. "It would be a good way to work on Hand-Eye Coordination!"
She was already out the door, not caring if he did or not. It was just a suggestion, though she did mean for the Little ones to work on it. Some part of the journey they could probably not be able to use their magnificent abilities. And that's where they needed experience with real weapons. Swords, Arrows, Katanas, Throwing Knives, Sycthes, whatever they wanted. Even if they caused a comontion, Catherine didn't care. They were special, and if they could survive an evil sorceress, they could escape Mortal police.

'And one more thing,' Nakimo added while leaping off Joseph's couch. 'I am NOT chubby, nor fat. And if She weren't here, something else would have stained that couch.' With that, the Snow Leopard suantered off, her tail swinging in the air. She didn't care if he couldn't hear her. She meant every word.

 

"Archery, huh?" he mused to himself as he too left his home (again). He didn't seem particularly phased by Nakimo's words, even though she probably meant them. He was used to being attacked, that was for sure, and nothing would ever compare to that one time...
"I probably should teach them a bit of that. I could even throw in the obvious joke." he said out loud as he wandered back towards the arena he expected the kids to meet at.
He wouldn't have any problems with archery himself, since even though he had long abandoned the practice, he could clearly remember how it all worked. Yes, this assignment would be pretty easy.

"hey kid where are you" Rath yelled out as he walked into the attic looking around for his partner Josette. He knew she was here from the scream but where exactly 'she is getting to be such a handful' Rath thought to himself with a sigh

"I still wished you would've gotten me up sooner." Ren said walking out the door.
It's your own fault for not getting up. Fenrir replied.
"Whatever, just try to wake me up next time okay." Ren said walking on ahead of Fenrir.
I make no promises. Fenrir said running after Ren.
Thanks for the word of confidence. He thought knowing fenrir heard him.

 

'Call it a draw?' Arrow suggested as they both landed at virtually the exact same time, being as diplomatic as ever.

"No way! I won that one, fair and square. You're just a perv that can't admit defeat." Sky said, grinning at him.

'I did not look! Honestly, let it drop. And as if you won that, I think you need your eyes tested.' The bird retaliated at her before looking round at the fighting clan where they'd arrived. 'You know what? I think we're early again, how typical'

Sky nodded, "Yeah, I reckon you're right about this one. I wonder if everyone else is also early again and if my new partner is here. I want to get to know him better, he seemed nice yesterday. So what do you think we'll be doing?" She asked as she wandered vaugley towards the centre.

After the breakfast, Storm sent Allora off early so she could see her Grandmother. Walking back to Kurisu, she pointed to the front of her house. "Ready when you are." She said, grabbing a hair tie and putting her long, dark hair into a high ponytail. She didn't have her hair up often, she only had it like this when she trained. Now, anyone could clearly see her bright, clear blue eyes, which were always covered by her growing bangs. "Hmm."

Allora hummed to herself as she walked toward the Fighting Clan's centre. Up ahead, she spotted the instructor, a girl with brown hair and a large bird by her. 'Oh, what was her name again? Sky? Yeah, Sky.' Allora stopped right next to them, her arms crossed as she waited for Storm and Kurisu. 'I wish they would hurry.'

The Elder trudged along, Nakimo walking aorund her as she did. Allora, Sky and Sky's helper were all waiting, Allora shivering in her short shorts. "Ah, that's what she gets for wearing those....those Things!"

'You Mean Shorts?'

Once they got to the Fighting Clan, he saw that he wasn't the only one there. "At least we made it here."
And you were worried about being late. Ferir thought.
"Don't think you're off the hook." Ren said. Before turning to look at the trainer. So, what first on ethe agenda.

Storm nudged Adriana trying to wake her up. Adriana was usually a late riser so she usually hated getting up in the morning. It seems this is going to be a challenge- for both Adriana to wake up and get going and poor Storm who now had to try and wake the girl up.

It took Storm a good ten minutes of nudging and howling for Adriana to finally get up.
"Good Morning Stormy" said Adriana getting out of bed.
"Do you realize it took me forever to get you up! We are going to be late now!" thought Storm.
"Late for wh- Oh Shit! I forget all about meeting Ren and those others for training!" shouted Adriana. She quickly changed out of her pajamas and changed into a light blue shirt with a light blue skirt. She slipped sandals onto her feet and quickly put her hair up in a messy ponytail. She decided to skip breakfast and hurry to the fighting clan ASAP.

 

OOC: Why'd you call Sky an instructor? EDIT: Nevermind.

'So glad I'm not the only one here' Sky thought to Arrow as she saw the others appear and smiled at them.

'It appears we weren't as early as you first thought.' Came the kestral's reply.

'Yeah' Sky thought before speaking to the ones that had just arrived, "Hey, sleep well? I wonder what we'll be doing today" She said, attempting to make conversaton. She was usually quite a confident person but she was actually fairly nervous about what lay ahead. And if she was nervous now, what was she going to be like when they were doing this for real? That, she was half dreading. What had she got into?

'Relax' Arrow answered her thoughts, 'Relax, you'll be fine. You're not as weak as you look'

'Thanks...I think?' She thought, she wasn't too sure if that was a complment or not, did that mean she looked weak? She looked around, wondering where her partner was and waved when she saw him. She was immensly glad he had turned up.

 

OOC: I apologize for any typos, this is a somewhat lengthy post I typed on my phone.

"Wake up!" The cat smacked the foot of the bed, an agitated growl building in its throat. "I said it politely, Jake," he hissed, anxiously switching feet. Jake's form didn't budge. Winston hissed again and leapt onto the bed. "Jake!" he yelled, pulling back his paw to scratch the boy. His claw swung down and slashed where Jake's cheek should have been. Instead of drops of blood, however, a large amount of feathers burst from the "wound." Winston raised an eyebrow. He rolled the form over with his paws, only to discover it was a mass of pillows, with a small note on the other side. Winston hopped over the pillows and examined the note.

Dear Cat,
O trusted companion and dear friend,
In the spirit of honor and sportsmanship,
I challenge thee to a race for the Fighting Clan.
Sucker. Sincerely, Jake ​

Winston twitched. In a time of great importance like this, his foolish "master" was still pulling
pranks? He turned on his heel and dashed out the door, holding back chuckles all the way.

Jake cupped his eyes and smiled. Yep, that was indeed the Fighting Clan. He continued his leisurely stroll towards the meeting place, tapping his hand against his leg. Suddenly, he noticed something bearing down behind him and spun around. Winston was racing towards him, an evident glare on the cat's face. Jake laughed aloud and began running towards the Clan. Winston tore up beside him, and Jake laughed once more. He picked up the pace, and passed into the Fighting Clan at last. He held his stomach, panting heavily. He then turned to Winston. "Can't say that wasn't fun," He muttered with a smile. He finally caught his breath and turned to the center. There were a few others here, including Sky. He smiled and waved to his partner, prepared for their first adventure.

 

With several of his 'students' now approaching, Joseph finally stopped loafing around and mentally prepared himself for the task... though nothing about his posture changed with this, and it would be doubtful to anyone watching that he was ready to do anything at all. In fact; if anything he looked more like a student himself than a teacher, what with his almost-uncaring attitude towards most things.
"So, who are we missing...?" he muttered aloud, looking over the children with relative interest.

Allora hovered as she did a small head count. "We're missing a couple people; including my Guardian and her Partner, but they should be here soon." She told him, tapping her boot on the ground as she dropped back down. "But, I'm Allora, Helper Fairy of Storm Everhart."

"Hmmmm. Nakimo? Do you see it?"

'Sorry to say, I don't. Are you sure the Key isn't on your belt?' Nakimo padded softly around the Cottage's secret basement as her Master looked for the key to the Weapons Chest in the Attic, where each Guardian would be called up. After they were called up, they'd be asked to imagine a weapon that'd suit their needs in battle, like a long-range weapon for someone who couldn't run as fast as another. Nakimo had seen her Master prepare weapons that way before, just to make sure the Chest still worked after forty long years of sitting there, unused.

Sighing, the Elder patted her belt and grabbed the key, clutching it tightly. "I'm just making sure she can't find it. She's been here before, she knows everything about this place except that chest.....And I'm making sure it stays that.

Soaring above the fighting clan, Fafnir descended from the sky landed near the others. "well its about time we got here. All that time wasted over nothing" told his partner as he merely jumped off his back

"Calm yourself" Rath said calmly landing on the ground and walked up to the others. Upon reaching them Rath closed his eyes and crossed his arms "sorry I'm late" Rath said. Having finished his business at the mansion he was now ready to train

 

"Alright." Joseph said suddenly, drawing attention to himself slightly, which was more than he had done so far other than just generally looking wierd.
"However many are here, it's enough to start, so that's exactly what we're going to do." he declared, before changing slightly in attitude.
He walked along the row of Choosen, looking at each of them individually before moving on to the next. He was studdying them, making sure each of them looked right. And sure enough, those that were there did.
He silently noted that the young mind clan girl was not there, and inwardly sighed. He was glad, nobody that young should be put into such a level of danger, they couldn't possibly understand what they were in for.
"All of you, here, are for a reason, do you understand?
The world is in trouble because of the Hatred-aura wielders, yes. But that isn't why you're here.
We did recruit you, and ask you to come here, yes. But that's not why you're here.
Each of you is here because you've chosen to be. Nobody said you couldn't walk away, and nobody will stop you if you choose to leave now, I want you all to understand that. Everything that happens now is because of what you've chosen, and we're going to owe people like you a huge debt before this whole thing is over."
He smirked at himself for being so overly-dramatic, before his tone shifted yet again.
"I told myself before I started I wouldn't let this get into a speech, and yet here I am again." he laughed momentarily.
"So hey there, all of you. I'm Joseph, of Fighting Clan, and I'm gonna be teaching the lot of you various things in the next few weeks."

 

Kurisu walked with Storm, joining the ranks of the other Choosen just before the fighting clan guy started talking.
"Fancy speech... boy do I feel motivated." he muttered sarcastically once their teacher had finished what he was saying.
"Kurisu! Show some respect." Gwen said in a shocked manner from his shoulder.
Kurisu sighed. "Fighting clan guys are only good at punching things. How are we supposed to train in our own styles if we're all training under one banner when each of us have our own thing to offer?" he revealed his thoughts to his helper and anyone else in earshot.
"Well... still... you shouldn't say something so rude."
"It's not rude if it is an honest opinion." he pointed out and puffed out a few more smoke rings into the air and watched them rise into the sky before dispersing lazily, as was his usual habit of something to do.
