"Because you're all I have." Tears fell from her face as she began to tremble. The pain in her head was becomming unbearable at this point. "And you promised....Y-you promised you wouldn't leave me!"


Barnabas watched the display out of interest, 'My work is done here' he thought to himself; very sure that she'll suffer her punishment and Rath will leave her for good. Killing two birds with one stone.
Humans are idiotic and overly dramatic creatures. Aren't they?

Stopping in his trek to the exit, Rath turned and walked straight towards. Standing right in front of her Rath looked down at her with unemotional eyes "Reality can be a harsh and cruel thing. Sometimes things happen and you are unable to prevent it. These things that can ruin your life forever, but there are many things that you can prevent" Rath said placing his hand on her head "you would best not lie to me again or else" Rath said ruffling her hair

 

The child tried to choke out the words, "Thank you" but they just sputtered out into nonsensical blubbering. Josette was trembling so bad, she could barely even stay on her own two feet.
His words were so true, and she swore to herself to never forget them.

Outdoors, Barnabas nodded to the dragon, "You won't have to worry about dragging around two passengers anymore." He stated in his usual dickish manner, not witnessing anything that had just happened inside.

"Consider this a warning" Rath said crossing his arms "I figured you were alone...otherwise if somebody was watching over you then I would have deal with them about how irresponsible they are" Rath said calmly "now then get everything you need. Your staying with me. I'm not in the mood for an argument so hurry up" Rath said closing his eyes

Fafnir glanced down at the mouse and looked at him confused "well then that sure is a surprise now. So tell me what did you do?" Fafnir asked

 

"Yes sir." She stated in the most serious manner possible. Directly following his orders as if she was an obedient servant. There was just- something that she couldn't put her finger on. Something about him...
When the thought finally coursed through her head fully, she was done. Pulling large suitcases down the stairs and smiling brightly. 'I know what it is' Josette thought to herself.


"Punished the little creep for lying." If he could smile, he would be doing such at the moment, "Of course, it's only for her own good."
There was a quick moment of silence, "The girl shouldn't have friends anyway; it's dangerous."

Walking up to her, Rath relieved the weight from her and took the large suitcase from her "we will drop this off at my place and head to the fighting clan for training. So then lets get going. We wasted enough time as it is" Rath said walking out

Fafnir looked down at the mouse. He himself was never the kindest creature but after what the mouse said he couldn't really come to like him as a friend and only a mere ally. Before saying anything the dragon witnessed something that made him chuckle "I applaud you for your efforts. You did an excellent job separating the two of them" Fafnir said with a big grin spread across his face as he witnessed Rath walk out of the mansion

 

The mouse sat silently as the two exited the now, abandoned mansion.

"Come on Barny." The girl patted her knee and positioned her hands to scoup up the rodent but he scurried away from her immediately. "Ah, he's not good around strangers." Josette started, "But he loves me. I'm sure of it!"
Gettinging herself positioned upon the dragon again, the girl quietly scanned her house. "That is..." Her eyes bulged out of her head as a finger raised upwards to the top floor of the mansion. Some strange marking was scrolled across it in what looked like blood, "....not good."

Upon looking towards where Josette pointed at Rath's eyes widened upon the sight of the blood "is that...blood? but how?" Rath said as he let go of the suitcase "stay here" Rath said as he ran back into the mansion and up towards the top area

 

Tugging on Fafnir's skin lightly, the girl demanded, "Bring me up there too!"
She was going to make sure Rath wouldn't get hurt up there. It was her responsibility. Moreso now than before.

With a nod Fafnir flapped his wings and flew up towards the top floor. Once reaching there he flew next to the window giving her a chance to jump in

Rath continued to run towards the top floor. Luckily he brought his sword along with him "what could have happened up there?" Rath muttered

She lept into the attic and stared at the sight in horror. "U-uw-UWAAAA!!!!" Josette's screams could be heard for quite the distance as she scrambled to get back onto the dragon.
It was made by the bad people.

Barnabas gave a concerned glare upwards, "Is she alright?" He asked Fafnir who was busy with the child.

As Rath ran up the stairs toward the attic he heard the screams of Josette "I told her to stay back" Rath muttered as electricity surrounded his arms "something must be there" Rath said readying himself as he ran up and jumped into the attic

"Looks like she saw something frightening" Fafnir said as he allowed her to get on his back

 

As soon as Rath burst into the attic, the girl then pushed herself away from the dragon, "LEMME BACK IN LEMME BACK IN!" She had to be by her friend's side.
Although there wasn't anything in the room; still, it was a very scary sight and she wanted to make sure he would be okay upon seeing it.

Barnabas wanted so dearly to roll his eyes at this escapade.

Fafnir just groaned upon the little girls request "make up your mind already" Fafnir said. Of couse she couldn't hear him but he still need to say it

Rath looked around the attic and walked in "nobody is here" Rath said silently walking deeper into it. As he walked he headed towards where he heard Josette's scream

 

"Ughh..." Sky's eyelids fluttered open as she woke.

'Good Morning, sleepy head' Arrow chimed in as soon as he saw her start to awaken. 'Sleep well?'

Her forehead creased, "What?? Oh. It's you. Morning." She said as her mind cleared. With a sigh she forced herself to get up slowly, streaching her arms wide as she did so.

Arrow shook his head, 'You'd better get ready, you've got a big day ahead of you'

"Yeah, yeah, I know." She waved her arms about looking for clothes as she spoke, clearly not with it quite yet.

"Bright and Early, don't you think the same, Nakimo?" The Elder bent down to pet her own Helper, Nakimo, a very regal Snow Leopard.
'Yes, it is. Shall we head to Sir Joseph?' Nakimo purred, eagerly getting up from her Purple Plush Cushion.
"We shall!" The Elder chirped, waving her cane in the air as a thick, black smoke circled around them. With a very loud POOF!, they disappeared, headed toward the Fighting Clan.

After letting all the windows open, Storm felt the Smoke waft out of her house and into the air. She felt bad about polluting her world, but if she didn't let that stench out of her house, it would stink for months!
"Allora! We're out of here in five minutes, got it?!" She yelled, brushing her hair with her mom's favorite brush. "You snooze, you lose!"

 

Kurisu could smell the strong smoke in the air now as he followed it.
"Should'a figured this was you guys." he muttered to Storm as she was at her window.
Suddenly the smoke from the kitchen and that had been released made it's way past her in from of Kurisu, in which it simply dissipated.
"Figure I should help the environment at least." he explained.
"Oh aren't you kind." Gwen said sarcastically in a rhetorical fashion from his shoulder.

 

Withing the Fighting Clan's 'village', Joseph had just left his appartment-like home, with the intention to visit the elder. He had planned to do so straight away, but he felt that he should check back at his own home first, if just to make sure there wasn't a rogue Deyathingy chilling on his couch. He did like that couch...
Closing his door behind him, the combat trainer began to walk to the edge of his clan, hands in pockets and whistling. Anybody who did see him like this would not have believed for one second he was on his way to tell the elder about the trouble they'd had.

"Well, thanks." Storm sat on her windowsill, using her own powers to put the Brush back on her dresser. "Ready to go to the Fighting Clan?"

"I sure as Heck am!" Allora jumped through the door, pumping her fist. "How you like my Outfit Stormie?"

"It's okay." The guardian replied, looking at her Denim short shorts, white Tank top and black Cowgirl boots. "Can't you say hi to other people like a normal person?"

Suddenly, The Elder and Nakimo found themselves in Joseph's home, The Helper on the couch, licking her paw. "Ah! Hullo, Joseph! Any news?"

 

Turning around and going straight back inside as though it was completely intentional, Joseph greeted the elder.
"You always manage to do that to me." he mumbled, before going into the real information.
"Well, the little girl from Mind Clan dissappeared, and there's apparently been a little more besides, but I'm a little hazy on the details. Best guess is there was a Deyawhatstheirname in the camp last night." he said, sounding somehow both serious and nonchalant at the same time.
"Far as I know nobody was hurt though. Mind Clan girl turned out to be at her partner's place."
He didn't bother mentioning that the guy had answered the door holding a sword. It happened to him a lot.
