Yes very known subject, but I like reading these individual stories rather than reading a whole novel. Anyone interested in these as well?

It's been a few years, but I used to look up old myths on gods all the time. Like Ragnarok and all that?

I went to a Greek Elementary school, so i learned a bunch about Greek Mythology. I still like to go on Wikipedia fom time to time and recap on some of the things I might've forgotten.

I like Greek mythology better then Roman, and Egyptian best of all. Those three are the ones I know best about, in any case.

Greek mythology and Egyptian mythology are probably my favorites. I loved learning about them in my history/english classes, but I don't know too much about the Norse gods or anything.

I remember my mom getting me a book with Greek mythology stories when I was younger and I would always read them. I still have that book in my bookshelf to and occasionally take it out sometimes when I'm bored. :>

I grew up on a lot of Scandinavian mythology. Thor and Odin are badasses :3
Of course, I also enjoyed the Greek unit in 6th grade. Pretty much all mythology is fascinating.

I find all mythology interesting, and normally I will look something up and read random tales.

I rarely read it on my free time, but we've learned of Egyptian, Greek, Norse and Finnish mythology during history lessons at school. Quite interesting, I just somehow can't read it out of class :why?:

I'm forced to learn Roman mythology (comes with taking Latin for four years :'D)
but I find it really interesting. Personally, I'd like to study up on Norse Mythology though, and I may go into Japanese Mythology as well.

If you think that Oedipus is disturbing then you don't know much XD No offense. There are many other disgusting myths, involving eating humans and rapists.

Anyway, since we have courses about ancient Greek tragedies at university we learn many things about Greek myths, so i'll be studying them for the next three years.

@ Cherry: I see your point. Actually Oedipus's whole family had issues from the past. Like Laius (i hope i wrote that right, i don't know how is written in English) who was the first rapist in history. And he raped a teenage boy O.o

Have you studied both of Oedipus?

I don't really remeber Greek/Roman myths...or maybe I'm getting myths confused with folk tales and Legends again?

Anyway..in the Greek myth (hopefully it is a myth)
I can only remember Iccarus (hopefully I spelled it right)

I haven't read any Russian myths.

    As for Norse...Ragarok and Loki.
I like Loki cause he's the only god I can pretty much remeber.

    Japanese Myths...
    How the world was created...
    Bamboo Princess.

Chinese Myths...I haven't read, but I'm pretty sure in Chinese New Year Spectaular they do little skits of myths. Or maybe I have read some and I just don't remeber them.

    Korean Myths
I don't really remeber them too well.

That's all I can think of...but I'm probably getting Myths, legends and folktales confused again.
