Best band of the decade? You sure don't like to ask easy questions. Simple answer is I can't pick one, If you had asked me this question last week I would have a different answer than the one I will have in a months time. Besides which there are way too many that are deserving of that title.

    Ironic no?

Playing guitar fast=/=Playing guitar with talent
If theres anyone in studioforce that deserves credit, it's the drummer. He can play seven full minutes without ever going out of time.

Have you ever seen studioforce live? Because I can guarantee that if you did, you wouldn't be complimenting them in the slightest.

Boi lemme show you how enhancement pedal work

None of you have decent taste.
And if you suggested Linkin Park, Disturbed, Three Days Grace, or anything towards that vein of "heavier" music - you are way off mark and you don't deserve to hear.

The sad thing is that if they got their **** together and stopped making repetitive 8 minute songs that sound exactly like any of their others, they would probably become a great band.

linkin park is NOT the best (seriously as musk said they really haven't done anything) how old are radiohead? they are creative and make awesome music. Also Muse creates some cool music. They are both creative and awesome in my eyes.

Why the hell do people have to start bashing others for their music taste? Seriously, let people listen to whatever the hell they want. Even if it is crap in your opinion, there's probably someone who loves the band/artist, and you really don't have to start insulting each other over that <.<

As for the original question in the thread: I don't think we can define the greatest band of the decade yet. Maybe in 10-20 years or so. The bands that are still successful then, hell, even the bands that we can remember even if they haven't played in years are probably gonna be the ones named 'greatest'. Some of them are probably be the groundbreaking, extremely talented bands, and some is probably gonna be generic s*it, that people just like listening to because of the easiness in the songs.

Welcome to the internet, where your opinion means shit to everybody but yourself, no matter what you do about it.

Real life is just like that too. Especially in middle-school (or high-school for most of the people here...)

I like the red jumpsuit apparatus, utada hikaru and evanescance. Others i only ever listen to a couple of songs then i dislike the rest.

Oh, and people should'nt be bashing one another because of music taste.
Some ppl might not like my music taste, i say, yeah, i respect that, you have your music, and i have mine. life goes on.
theres no need to bash ppl 4 it

Listen to whatever you want, I don't care, it doesn't matter to me. However, when people are talking how "original" and "great" generic bands are, I will point out how wrong they are. If you like Paramore/Fall Out Boy/DragonForce/any other generic overrated POS band, more power to you, but they aren't "original" or "great."

Being generic doesn't stop a band from being 'great' in some form of the word. The music, or more often the lyrics touch people, maybe even give comfort, and that's a thing I've found so great about music, generic or not.
And you have to face the fact that being original matters so little in todays music industry. You don't even have to be that great of a singer to succeed if you have just an ounce of charisma.
