So I'm thinking of moving to this.

I like Mozilla, but sometimes, the cache freezes.

For example, when checking my school grades online, it stays stuck on a previously updated date instead of the most recent one.

Example, using Friday through today: My Spanish teacher posted grades online on Friday, but not yesterday.

She then posted today, but the "Reports last updated" still said 10/7/2011 instead of 10/11/2011.
I check it on Internet Explorer, and it says 10/11/2011.

I know it's Mozilla and not the school website going by the example above.

    Two questions about GC, though.

    1. How do I clear the cache, cookies, and everything else on it?
    2. Is there an Adblock Plus for GC?

If there's a way to fix my Mozilla issues, that would be great, too.

    1. There's an 'options'-button which can help you clear caches, cookies and everything.

    2. Yes there is.

But! With school websites, please be careful. We use N@tschool, which isn't compatible with Chrome. So keep that in mind. Also, coding in Chrome seems to be very hard, but there are external fixes for that.

Where can I find Adblock Plus for Google Chrome?

As for your paragraph after your answers, could you expand on that a bit?

    You can download it here.

Let me think... Since coding is hard in Chrome, some sites are not supported by it. For a while, Chrome did not support HTML, for example. If sites have not been updated after the update that enabled HTML they might still not work on Chrome. But it's a hit and miss thing, really.

Thanks for the link and answer.

Back to Mozilla real quick, I know there's some part one can go to disable cache entirely, which fixes the cache freezing issues.
Unfortunately, I can't remember how I got there last time. I typed "about:" something in the address bar.

    I press:

    about:config
    Properties
    Context menu
    New > Integer

    and enter:

    network.dnsCacheExpiration

Try that. Maybe it works for you.

    Got it.

    Now, I remember this.

It's the browse.cache.disk.enable option that I set to false (in other words, disabled) to fix it last time, and it's still on that, so I'm not sure why it suddenly started having problems.

It was fine until today. I re-enabled it (true), so I'll see what happens for a few days.
If it doesn't work, I'll set it back to false and give it a few days, and if it starts having problems then, well, I'll move over to Google Chrome.

    Thanks for all the help.

Okay, so I went ahead and installed GC, but how do I add multiple homepage tabs?
I know where to go, but when I did it the Mozilla way (separate each address with |), it didn't work.

I have both and i am using Google chrome , My mozila firefox has been lagging a lot even with the cache cleared and history cleared. So i switched to chrome. And it's a lot more easier to use than firefox , trust me and i used to be attached to firefox before , now i like google chrome. So I'd recommend switching , but if not. Have you tried updating to a recent version?

    I figured it out,

I also figured out how to clear the cache and everything, which is was why I never really got into GC before, as I couldn't figure out how to clear everything.

Anyway, this can be re-locked now.
