We all know the incredibly lame attempt to have an emotional moment that is the fake death of Goofy. Just the idea of it makes it me explode with laughter. However, watching this vid, I suspect maybe having music during Sora, Donald and Mickey's reactions to Goofy's (sadly hysterical) hit, might have made it more effective. Instead, due to the lack of the score in that scene, there is an automatic lack of emotion emphasis, in my opinion. Do you think the music helped here at all? I don't know, I just find it interesting.

I didn't really care much about that scene =/
Music during it scene would've made it better, but lets face it.

It was obvious he wasn't dead. He had been through much worse to be taken out by a boulder.

    XD!
I also think the whole thing with the boulder was stupid because, well... Goofy goes through far worse in his cartoons. Thus, it just feels like slapstick when Goofy's smashed on the noggin, and therefore unintetionally hilarious as a result. Couldn't Goofy get shot or somethin...? XD

No, it didn't help. In fact, it's actually funnier than it was before.
Also, as I stated some time ago in another thread, I would've laughed even harder if he actually died. The entire fake death thing was a stupid move anyway. It's a kid's game, for f*ck sake.
Why are kids going to like seeing one of disney's mascot character's die?

in my opinion no, it didn't help very much, plus the music is too loud.

It would have to be the right kind of music. If it was the wrong kind then finding out he was still alive in a supposed emotional moment might make it even more funnier.

I don't really care because I don't like the fact that you have two disney mascots following you around. But what I would really like is if they were smexy humans. Yes that would be nice!

The music does make it a little more touching than it was before. But honestly, it's impossible to take this scene seriously at all. Goofy obviously isn't dead, so music can only help so much, you know?

Hehe, I will never stop laughing about this scene. The one part that was kinda genuine was when Donald started wailing. Then I felt kinda bad. It was cute, after all. But seriously, Sora and Mickey kinda screwed that up. I guess the music didn't add or take away from it. It was just not a good scene. They would have to rewrite the entire scene to make it more touching. Now if it had been like Aerith's death, THEN I would have cried.

I feel that scene did lack in music but that video you linked had the music over tone the scene it self. I still cracked up though.

Yea... you can't kill Goofy. He's a main character for Pete's sake.

I didn't care for the music either considering he didn't die. Actually, it made it all the worse. It was too obvious he wasn't dead.

The music helped a little, but the scene is just too absurd to be taken seriously, no matter how touching the music was.
And the Organization XIII-theme wasn't the right song choice, seeing how the scene had nothing to do with the Org (apart from being right after Demyx's death).

I think the music helped. It was a bit too loud and everything, but it made the scence better.
But yeah, the scene is pretty strange to begin with :

    - How Goofy's body jumps after being hit with that boulder is physically impossible, even for a video game.
    - Donald says he's sorry about the ice cream. WTF?! What's that got to do with anything? He just ate an ice cream. What harm did that do to Goofy?
    - They abandon him. Way to go.

But, positively thinking, the music made the scene pretty much as good as it can get.

This scene is so ludicrous, plus that music was way too loud. Even if it had been turned down and somewhat sensical, it had no real emotional impact with the scene. The song the person used is mostly used for darker scenes of the game anyway, not emotional ones. It's weird hearing it in this context. Plus when the new song starts and Mickey looks away from Goofy... what? It ruined the complete context of the scene for me, which was terrible to begin with.

Overall verdict: it made it even cheesier.

Let me be the only one to say that I find this a good scene, unessiccary, but good. Cos' some time later, Goofy meets Sora, Donald and King Mickey again, saying: "Gawrsh, I get bumped on the head all the time!"

It wasn't really neccissary, but it did was a good scene. (and Donald bursting out in rage when Mickey ran away was just very cool xD)
