I'm not sure if there was an evacuation or not -- the article doesn't say, so probably not. I'm going to take a stab in the dark and say that more likely than not, it was a joke or bluff, but either way, it's completely wrong what he did. The ONLY reason I say it MIGHT be a joke or bluff is because of this particular paragraph in the article: It's sort of like how some people go, "Well, I'm 21 now and can drink whenever and wherever I want." They're not common here. Back when I was in school and was a senior, there was an incident one morning of a group of three students from three separate grades (I think freshman, sophomore, and junior, but I don't remember) that were talking about a gun one had. It was dealt with silently by law enforcement and school went on as usual -- I didn't even know about it until the morning announcements we always had at the beginning of second period happened. Other than that and this current event, there haven't been any other threats, at least not that I know of.
