Well I'm slowly building a Gaming computer, but I need some help.

I am preferably looking for a mother board with 4 slots of RAM supporting up to 4gb each or more.

And I also need a video card for a PC not Mac, but I also rather have a NVIDIA video card.

    So any recommendations?

I usually go with Asus boards or Lan Party boards when I build computers. Nvidia are also great video cards with the best support. How much money are you looking to spend on a board and/or video card and maybe I can help you search for a good deal. Newegg.com has some pretty good deals on mobos and vid cards as well as pretty much any parts you might need.

Well I mostly need at least is:

640 MB of Video RAM (For video Card)
    3 GB of System Ram
    8X speed DVD-ROM
and a mother board that supports that

But getting 1gb RAM cards will be easy, because there are a lot of free/cheap ones on craigslist. There are a lot of different type of video cards that vary in price so I am a little lost. For the DVD drive will be really easy to find a cheap one on ebay.

-Note this is mostly to run and play Crysis at least Recommended quality

I'm currently using an Asus board. I would strongly recommend it for a gaming computer.

How much money are you willing to spend on a board? I do think Asus is pretty much makes the best boards since none have ever let me down and some other boards have. I can help you find some if you give me a price range.

    Here's a list of Asus boards. http://www.dealtime.com/xFS-~KW-asus_motherboards~FD-0~NS-1

Well I said that is what I needed at "least", anything greater/cheaper can do the job

and all I really have for now is about $250, but it can get me pretty far

I think I am going to go with this:
    ASUS (M2R32-MVP) Motherboard
    http://www.dealtime.com/xPO-ASUS-M2R32-MVP

    and this:
XFX PVT80GTHF4 GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 HDCP Ready SLI Supported Video Card
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150204

Also just about anything else I need can be taken out of cheap old computers

Those two should work out well for you. I've never had a problem with an ASUS board yet...except for one I accidentally fried by not being grounded. xD
