Why the hell isn't there a thread about this band? What's wrong with you KHV? B| I just searched for Godsmack threads...and didn't find one. >> First off, Godsmack is a metal band with four studio albums and one EP(not counting an album released to celebrate ten years of Godsmack). The lead singer Sully Erna is going to release a solo album sometime in August of this year and is also working on "The Expendables" soundtrack(a movie which stars Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, and Arnold Schwarzenegger). Also, the band is planning on releasing an album of their own this year as well. Some of their more popular songs would come from their albums "Awake" and "Faceless" such as "I Stand Alone", "Re-Align", "Awake", and "Straight Out Of Line". Personally, I have no favorite album from them since they're all good and have their "Eh" moments. Godsmack isn't purely metal though, their EP "The Other Side" is a purely acoustic album(except for some parts of "Re-Align" which I suspect are done on an electric guitar...a very clean and tasteful one). Also, the albums "IV" and "Faceless" have the songs "Serenity" and "Hollow" in case you're not a fan of their heavy stuff. 8D Godsmack is one of my favorite metal bands...and they're manly.
I've heard of the band and do have a couple of albums, but to be honest I've only liked a few of their songs, namely "Voodoo" and "Faceless". I should listen to them a little more than I do.
Was the first song I ever heard by them, back when I was 13. Still really the only one I know the words to somewhat. I remember the first time I heard them I thought they were Australian or something...I'm not sure what lead me to believe that...
