Gods of the Deep Greek

"Hi" she said, when the girl introduced her.
So none of them knew what to do. At least they were heading towards something - Empire State Building. But first, they had to deal with Cyclops. Surprisingly, before they could do anything, someone took care of the problem. It was a boy, but unlike them, he was able to do something to the monsters around them. Maybe he knows something more than us. she thought to herself, while examining their savior carefully. The most interesting part was his sword. The weapon you wouldn't normally see on the street.
"That was something." she agreed with the girl.
She sighed with relief, they were safe for the time being.
"No idea, but they did say something about us being demigods, right?"
Sylvia was searching for the reason, why she was attacked for a long time, but never find the answer. But now, with they boy who knew how to fight the Cyclops, she hoped, that she will finally know what's going on.

 

"you must all be wondering why these beasts are attacking attack you" Drake said as he put his sword on his shoulder "now is not the time for such questions. If you wish not to die then stick with me. The more you get to the empire state building the more of those beasts will arrive" Drake said coldly as he looked over at the second cyclops who was still blinded. Without hesitation Drake ran forward and stopped in front of the cyclops. Raising his huge broadsword, Drake immediately swung his blade and mercilessly cleaved off the blinded cyclops' head reducing him to dust.

 

Teal leaned against the wall. He had taken a break from fighting, but he might have taken a little too long of a break. He listened to the noises around him, but he couldn't make out anything except the usual New Your City noises.
"You don't think all the fighting is already done, do you?" Teal got up and rested against the wall a little. He was starting to get comfortable in that position. Running for so long, he felt like he could just fall anywhere and sleep for a week.

sorry for short post. I just woke up, and I haven't posted in a few pages

 

raiden listened to the noises of the city.
"i hope so. that would be a good thing."
he sighed and slid down the wall next to teal.
"this can be draining at times."
raiden sat there thinking about when things were a lot easier.
"so...do you know who your parent is?"

 

Teal leaned against a wall opposite of Raiden. "Well, I think it's Hermes, considering my little habits of theivery and such. But there's really no way for me to prove it." Teal sighed, wondering if Hermes would ever actually claim him as his child. "My mom said that I act like him a lot."
Teal just couldn't stay in one place, so he grabbed his sword and gave it a swing. He felt that he needed practice with it before any other battles. He gave a foward thrust, upper slash, lower slash, backspin thrust, and other moves. He began to think of what he might do now. He wanted to call home, but he felt that it wasn't right, considering he had just run off without anyone knowing where he was. He didn't have anywhere to go in the city. Teal felt like he was a fish out of water.
"I wonder if I'll have to fight more monsters. I don't mind, since it gives me practice, but involving innocent people isn't for me." He swung is sword on his back and tied it in place. "Oh, and I don't usually talk this much. I just really enjoy talking about Greek stuff and all that. Greek mythology was my favorite lesson in school."

 

raiden smiled.
"it was probably your favorite because it's about you. it's far from mythological. it's history. and there is a way of finding out for sure who your parent is. it's called claiming. the symbol of your godly parent glows over your head. i'm surprised you haven't had that yet. well...when we get to camp i'm sure it'll happen, but since we're so close to olympus it might even happen sooner."
he watched teal get up and practice with his sword.
"do you like it? if you want you can keep it. or get one made perfectly for you at camp."
raiden stood up. and started walking down the alley.
"if you're ready, we should get going."

 

"Yeah, let's go." He stretched a little, since he felt really stiff, and began walking toward the street. He looked at the giant building in front of him. Then he began to think about something.
"You said that we're close to Olympus." He looked over at Raiden, "What exactly did you mean by that? I mean, the only major building around us is the Empire State Buiding." He looked up toward the sky, amazed at how big it was. There were bigger things, but he had never seen such a big building before in his life.
"So, which way do we go, left or right?" Teal looked both ways, not noticing anything different from earlier.

 

raiden smirked.
"it's right in front of us. look really hard."
he pointed up to the very top of the empire state building. up above the spire in the clouds, there was the faint outline of a mountain summit.
"you didn't know it was there? but yet you were drawn to the empire state building? interesting."
he thought about it for awhile on the walk back towards the empire state building.

 

"Well, I don't know about being drawn to it." Teal scratched his head, "I just kinda ran from that cyclops. I guess I was just lucky to come in front of the Empire State Building."
Teal look up to where Raiden had pointed. He strained his eyes, and thought he saw an outline of a mountain. Teal rubbed his eyes in disbeliefe. He hadn't even known that there was anything above the Empire State Building. How could he? If there was anything, it would basically be floating in midair. Then he thought back to his Greek Mythology and remembered how Olympus was, right above Mt. Olympus.
"Oh yeah, I remember now. It's basically just the same concept as how it was in Ancient Greek, right?"

 

"Is that a...No, no, no...You've gotta be kidding me...A pegasus...?" he muttered to no one in particular, once again taking the girl's hand, leaping up onto the horse, swinging his leg over.
Once aboard, he questioned her, "So...What now...?" his voice shaking a bit. This was all a bit too much.
Demon dogs, cyclopes, and now a pegasus? It's like he was in...What was it? Roman mythology? Greek? What's the difference? He didn't really care at the moment, his thoughts just fixed on where their destination would be.

 

"yeah, mount olympus and everything that comes with it moves to the most advanced western civilization. it went from greece to rome to america. mount olympus itself is no longer above the mountain it's now above the empire state building."
raiden checked the cross streets as they drew closer to mount olympus.
"almost there."

 

Teal tried to process all of this at once. "So basically, we've got the Greek gods living above the Empire State Building, and they're there because western civilization is here in America, and we get the whole demigod deal like those in ancient Greece did?" Teal made a small whistle sound. At least he could be a small part in one of his favorite subjects.
"So what are we going to do when we get to the Empire State Building? I'm pretty sure we're not going to just waltz on in to Olympus."

 

raiden grimaced.
"no. no you can't just walk into olympus. you have to make an appointment, but actually we aren't going up to olympus. just meeting up there."
the reached the opening in front of the empire state building and raiden sat down on a bench.

 

Ella nodded her head to show that she understood the directions and then ran to the stables. "Hey there," she said to one of the pegasi, opening the gate and hopping on it's back. "Ready to go on an adventure to Olympus?" She hooked the pegasus up to a chariot and then got another out of a nearby stall. After everything was all set, she trotted the pegasus out of the stable and took off into the air. She couldn't help but smile as the wind rushed into her face. It felt good to be on a quest again.

Hana was getting excited. The supercool dude took out another Cyclops with his sword, and they began moving toward the Empire State Building. "This is so exciting!" She said to Sylvia in a loud whisper. "What do you think is going on?" She looked around. This was the safest she'd felt for the last few months. She was tempted to take out her cell and call her parents, but the suspense was so great that she decided not to. She just wanted to see what was at the Empire State Building.

 

ammeritta turned to look at him as she steered.
"we're meeting up at mount olympus. there are other demigods out here in danger and i'm not the only one out tonight to save them. then once we are all together, we are heading back to camp where you all will be safe."
it didn't take long to reach the empire state building, given the fact that they were on a flying horse.
vester landed near the entrance. ammeritta could see raiden headed right for her with some other guy.

the satyrs advanced from central park. being spirits of the earth, traveling amongst it was easy and quick. they hurrried over towards the group that was forming.

 

"Wow." that was all Sylvia could say, after seeing monsters being reduced to dust by a boy.
His moves was amazing. The thought stroked her. Maybe he was fighting them for a long time. It would explain many things.
"Yeah." she agreed again with Hana.
She didn't share her enthusiasm, still worried about what might happened, but as for the moment, they were safe. Thanks to the boy of course.
"Well, I'm not sure, but I think we're now part of something really big. Tough I'm still not sure why." she whispered back to her new friend.
She wouldn't mind some explanation, but knew well that it's not the best time for it. At least there was a big chance, that if they get safe to the Empire State Building, they'll find out something more.

 

Taron frowned. He could have sworn he heard a voice. He tightened his grip on his hammer and spun around. He slowly focused on what seemed to be a body on the ground. "The hell?" he muttered, dashing towards the shape. He slid onto his knees and looked over the boy.

The boy appeared to be a bit younger than Taron, perhaps sixteen or seventeen. Taron pushed his glasses up the bridge of his nose and swore. "Hey. Wake up," he said. Why would this kid have passed out. He got back to his feet and looked around. Could there be more monsters?

He waved his hammer in the air, yelling. "Come on, freaks!" he shouted, stomping on the ground. He realized that if there actually weren't any more monsters, he probably looked like an idiot, bit at the time he didn't care. There. A dark blur. It looked vaguely like a Hellhound. He knelt in front of the boy. "Hey, kid. Might be a good time to wake up," He said, lightly shaking him by his shoulders. He felt the ground tremble a little bit, sounding as if there were more then one monster. Taron groaned. "Please?"

 

Samson heard the teen's voice, it sounded soft to him but he could understand it partially. He felt his body lightly shake as well. The person he saw had come to his aid. "W-water... food...." he said quietly. The demigod slowly opened one eye, then the other. He tried moving, but he was too tired. It was as if he was just bones with no muscles.

Samson hated this feeling. He felt so powerless, so weak and vulnerable. If there was one thing Samson learned when he left Los Angeles, it's to never show any sign of weakness. That's when problems take their chance to pounce and error moves in for the kill.

Samson managed to move his head so his chin was resting on the grass instead of being on its side. His vision was still quite blurry, but he could make out a figure in front of him. "I need... food and water," he repeated weakly. "Please..."

 

Hana looked around as they ran, watching the crowds of people. Even though she and the others had been attacked by a group of Cyclops, and then rescued by a dude with a sword, the crowds didn't even seem to notice. Well, they're not very observant, are they? She thought. Then something caught her eye. Looking up into the sky, she saw... a flying horse. It was heading to the Empire State Building, just like they were. Wow... with the day I've been having, I'm not even remotely surprised. The flying horse was carrying two people, a boy and a girl. It landed on the top of the building and out of sight, and Hana turned again, just to see two more flying horses. This time, they were pulling a chariot behind them, and driving the chariot was another girl.

Ella landed the chariot on the rooftop, just behind the other pegasus. "Hello, Ammeritta," she said. Although they weren't particular friends, Ella had seen Ammeritta around the camp and had talked with her a few times. "I heard there were Demigods here in need of assistance. I'm here for the extraction." She looked at the boy standing there. "Is he one of them?"

 

Hopping down from the pegasus, Michael gazed at his surroundings.
"This is...Unreal...Greek Mythology I believe. Right? Olympus? Isn't that supposed to be in Greece? Even if it's real? And...What's the Empire State Building got to do with it?"
He then noticed two others heading to them. Two males.
They must be others like myself...
"Wait, you said camp...What camp?!"
He stood there, trying to sort everything out in his mind; how this all could be real.
