Gods of the Deep Greek

Hana was trying to blend in with the crowd. Looking behind her, she saw the cyclops, peering into alleys and looking in confusion at all the crazy drivers yelling at him to get his "truck" out of the way. She turned back around. As long as she didn't draw attention to herself, she was able to keep ahead of the monster. She looked up. Some sort of flying horse was soaring past high in the sky. If she hadn't been running from a giant one-eyed monster for the past few months, she would have been surprised. As it was, she was a little startled to see it. It seemed to be heading towards the Empire State Building. She turned her head to see the monster. He was leaning over and peering inside some of the cars, which, in turn, were backing away from it, trying to avoid crashing. She turned around, smiling. She began to walk a little faster, but she still made it look like she was a part of the crowd. She was heading for the Empire State Building.

Ella looked up at the stars and sighed. She wanted to get away from things and think. She began to walk towards the lake, breathing in the brisk night air. The breeze blew her hair out of her face as she walked and the moon shone brightly down on the campgrounds. All in all, it was a peaceful night. So why did she feel so restless? She couldn't figure it out. All she knew was that something big was about to break, and there was nothing she could do about it.

 

Dodging and ducking from all the lunges and slashes the hellhounds sent to him Drake mercilessly began to slash threw each and everyone that he dodged. a couple small wounds covered his body, but it was mostly scratches from the hellhounds and blows from stronger creatures he faced. As he continued to slash the hellhounds that proceeded to attack Drake immediately looked up at the sky upon noticing the Pegasus and its riders. "hurry and go help the other demigods. Don't worry about me" Drake said blocking a hellhound as it tried to claw his face off.

 

vester touched down a little ways in front of the empire state building. ammeritta and raiden decided to separate and help the others on their own. ammeritta took off mortals were in danger and she would not allow anyone to die today. she had her blade at the ready, along with the backpack raiden had given her. it was charmed to have an infinate amount of space. it contained things like backup weapons and medical supplies.

raiden came running down a side-street just as another cyclops came busting through a building wall reaching out for the person standing in front of it. he watched as the blade snapped.
"hey! need a spare? regular man-made metals wont work. you need celestial bronze."
raiden reached into the bag he had packed for himself and pulled out a 3' sword.
"catch!"
he tossed it towards the demigod and then took out his own sword. it was 4' long, celestial bronze, it had words of protection inscribed in it in ancient greek written in gold by his mother. the hilt was made of silver with blue leather wrapping it and green leather ribbons wrapping around the blue leather. raiden lunged at the cyclops while it was distracted.

 

Once he was sure the hellhounds were gone, Allen got down from the ladder and left the alleyway. Looking up he saw a flying horse soaring over head. Maybe if I can get it to notice me, I can get out of here. He thought heading for the tallest place in New York, The Empire State Building. The whole while making sure no one notice him, just in there were still some monsters lurking about.

 

Teal caught the sword that was thrown to him. It was a double-edged bronze sword, about three feet long. Teal took a fighting stance, ready to fight off the cyclops. While gripping the sword, it felt really light to him. Compared to the Katana, he felt as though he could swing this new sword three times as fast. But now wasn't the time to think about other things. He noticed the boy run at the cyclops, and he decided to do the same. It was best to attack the cyclops while he was still distracted. Unfortunately for Teal, that didn't help too much.
Teal slashed at the cyclops, hoping the cut in if half, but the cyclops didn't seem dumb enough to take it. It lifted it's whole right arm in front of where Teal slashed, and one second later, the cyclops had been one arm down.
"Nice, I could get used to this sword." Teal swung it around, still trying to get used to the weight. He didn't want to accidentaly swing it so hard that he would lose his grip. He ran up to the cyclops one more time, hoping to finish it off. "Before we take this big oaf down, how about he introduce ourselves? My names Teal." He swung his sword down to his side, taking a stance that would normally be used as a quick draw from a katana. He didn't have a sheath at his side, but he hoped he could make the same effect any ways.

 

Sylvia stopped for a moment, looking around. Strange noises were gone, but not forever. She quickly dived into the crowd, trying to hide from monsters. She knew they were here, but she didn't want to meet them. Being killed by some weird creatures it's not actually the best death I can imagine. she thought to herself, while trying to look like an average person. Without even knowing it, she was walking towards the Empire State Building. Lost in her thoughts, she noticed the upcoming attack a bit too late, but still managed to avoid it.
“Don’t think you can hide from us demigod.” she heard a deep voice.
In front of her there was Cyclop. His single eye was glaring at Sylvia, as he was ready to kill her with a single blow.
Run! It was the only idea, she was able to came up with. For a second, she was frozen by fear, but then she came to her senses and dashed away, trying to escaped from the danger. It was the only thing she could do at the moment. Yet she was too slow. And without a weapon, she couldn’t even properly fight against the monster, that was chasing her.
“I know, I’m asking for too much, but maybe there is someone who can help me.” she whispered quietly.
She was in New York, surrounded by people and yet, none of them was able to help her.

 

Managing to push away the hellhound out for his blood, Drake beheaded the hound and ran forward to the rest of the hounds. With a swift movement the hounds were all cut down. Drake stood above the rooftop and began to pant a bit. The journey to new york was a long and difficult one and it seemed he couldn't rest even now. He still needed to fight and protect those who couldn't. Reaching the bottom of the building he stood on, Drake began to head towards the empire state building which was not far from where he was

 

Hana walked along the street, heading toward the Empire State Building. Glancing behind her every so often, she saw that the Cyclops was still behind her, but he was falling behind. If she could keep it up, she would get away in no time. She began to feel the effects of running for three months. She was tired, she was dirty, and she was hungry. People were looking at her like she was some kind of street urchin. Well, She thought. I have been a missing person for three months or so. Then she heard it. A deep voice up ahead, "Don't think you can hide from us, demigod." Looking up, she saw a cyclops a few blocks away. It stood out above the crowd, although no one really seemed to notice it. Another one!?! She turned around. The first monster was still a few blocks behind her, but it had heard the second one and was now staring ahead, looking for it. It grinned and began walking towards Hana, but she didn't think it had seen her. It was coming to see its ugly friend. Now was her chance to get out unseen. But when she turned towards the second one, she saw that it was leering down... at another girl. "Oh come on!" She muttered. "Why don't the two of you pick on somebody your own size? Like eachother or something. That would definately solve my problems." She took a deep breath and began to run, not away from the cyclops this time, but towards it. She wasn't going to let these monsters take out somebody else just so she could have a chance of getting away. She was gonna help her.

 

raiden smirked at teal, as he sliced at a leg.
"it's raiden. son of peitha."
he looked back at the cyclops before continuing to speak.
"hey! cyclops! you must stop attacking us. you will leave us alone and return to where you came from. you will stop attacking us now!"
raiden used every ounce of confidence he could muster. the strong his voice sounded and the more confident he was, the easier it was to get people and monsters to do what he said. it was similar to charmspeak, which was blessed upon few children of aphrodite.

 

"Kid! Stay behind me!" the officer muttered absently to Michael, whom was gripping his dagger tightly.
"Tch. As if!" he cried, dodging his way back into the battle, as the officer began to pull his taser from his belt.
"Hey! Back away!" the officer yelled out, not able to really do anything with a child in the way.
"Silly kid! Steel not effective against my impenetrable body!" the cyclopes said in triumph, believing the fight was won, from Michael's earlier bluff, it may actually have given him an advantage.
With a quick leap over a low swiping attack, Michael attempted to attack, swiping at the beast diagonally, slicing his head. "Bwah! In Hades' name...!" the monster cried out, his last moments on the earth, as he began to flutter in a drifting powder.
"Wow...Did I really accomplish that...?" Michael muttered to himself, washing the powder begin to float away on a breeze.
"K-Kid! Stop right there!" the cop cried, beginning to slowly approach Michael, taser drawn.
"What? That thing tried to kill me! If anything, I should be given a medal or something..." he said harshly, pushing himself aside the officer, beginning to jog away, if some form of chase began, he would be able to get at least a bit of a head start.
The cop began to run after Michael, whom simultaneously pick up speed, running down the Boston streets.
Place to ditch this guy...Where is one... Michael began to scan his surroundings, seeing an upcoming turn into an airport, began to play out several outcomes in his head.
He turns the corner, seeing a group of back-up called by the first officer.
Successfully makes it into a large crowd, losing the officer's trail.
Forced to board a plane, going to any random area.
So many conclusions came to mind.
Finally, the moment of truth arrived, he turned the sharp corner, hightailing it through the airport's door. Airport security began to follow, once the officer burst in, and asked for back-up.
They obviously weren't the most competent people to be a form of law enforcement, but that didn't mean they weren't a danger. They were playing a basic game of cat and mouse. Michael weaving in and out of crowds of people, while the guards and officer cut him off, and he just sidestepped and began anew.
"This is beginning to get irritating..." Michael muttered under his heaving breathes, running as fast as he could, beginning to lose his adversaries. He quickly found a ticket booth, quickly yelling to the cashier-person-thing, "Give me the soonest leaving plane outta here!", placing a wad of money on the desk. He had grabbed quite a bit of his mother's bank account and from home, before he left for good.
"The soonest leaving plane is f-" the attendant began, but cut off by Michael's urgency.
"Good. Good, give me that!" he hastily grabbed the ticket, dashing away as the security guards, accompanied with the officer reached the desk. They chased to no avail, as he ran down a bit of escalators, shoving aside whomever was in his way. Once finally at the plane, handing in his ticket, he sunk into a plush seat. Apparently the lady had given him a First-Class Ticket. Had he really given them that much cash? No matter to him, he had finally lost the police, presumably finally hidden in a sea of people.
"Once again shifting towns...Where am I heading this time...? Cambridge? Weymouth?" his self-thoughts were suddenly cut, as the pilot's voice came over the speaker.
"Hello passengers, this is your pilot speaking. We are ready for take-off, we hope you have a great flight, and we should be in New York City should take around an hour, so just sit back and relax..."
New York City...?
"This should prove very interesting..." Michael muttered to himself, pulling the plane's seat belt around himself, feeling the plane begin to move along the runway.

ammeritta saw drake in the distance. she hurried up to him.
"are you all right?! are the hellhounds gone? did they hurt you?"
she grabbed his arm and started examing him all over his body.

 

Drake merely closed his eyes and sighed "I'm fine its nothing to worry about. I am still in fighting condition" Drake said with another sigh. His body was covered with light scratches and some deep wounds were poorly wrapped with some cloth. It was obvious that he handn't enough time to treat the wounds or rest for that matter. "we can't just stand around as those beast ravege this place" Drake said

 

Teal stood ready, with his sword at his side. He was ready to completely cut that cyclops apart. He had been chased from his home, and now he finally had a chance to get him back.
He looked at Raiden. "Are you sure we should be doing this? This guy isn't really one for actually listening to others."
He turned his head back to the cyclops. He wasn't going to let it get out of his sight any more. He was just itching to get rid of him. If the cyclops decided to try and attack them, that would be the moment that Teal finished it off. He was sure that he was fast enough for that much.

Sorry for the short post. I would have made it longer, but I wanted to see if you would do anything.

 

ammeritta looked at drake sceptically.
"are you sure you're all right?"
she gave him one last quick once-over.

"yeah! just give it a minute."
raiden watched the cyclops intently. slowly it's guard started to fautler. it was obvious the beast was confused as to the why it had started to give up. he smirked. it was working. with that, raiden shouted one last word before running at the beast.
"now!"
he stabbed his sword into the side of the monster.

 

Teal followed Raiden's cue. He ran to the cyclops and relaxed his arms. In a second, he used his improvised quick draw, and made a cut across the cyclops. Before he gave it a chance to regain itself, Teal gave it an upward slash, cutting the monster into fourths. Jumping away, Teal watched as the cyclops began to dissipate into dust.
"Well, I finally got rid of that thing." Teal sighed and dropped the sword to the ground. He sat against a wall, taking a rest he thought was well deserved. After being chased by the cyclops for so long, Teal had finally managed to get rid of it. He hoped that it would be the last cyclops he would ever see.
"So," Teal look up at Raiden, "what now? I don't think we should just sit in one spot waiting for something to happen."
He looked over at his new sword. It shined a bit with sunlight on it. "And now that I think about it, I have no way to carry that thing around. I don't suppose you've got a sheath or something?"

 

raiden opened up the backpack and dug around in it for a little bit. He ended up pulling out a long thick leather cord.
"you're,right. We need to move. It's not safe here, plus I know other people who need our help. Here."
He tossed teal the cord and continued digging through the bag.
"it's not a sheath, but you can wrap it around the hilt and you can tie it around your back or waist. Are you injured at all?"
Raiden pulled out a small amount of ambrosia, then closed the bag and put it back around his back.

 

"yeah I will be alright. You don't have to worry about me" Drake said taking a step forward. "the hound are a mere annoyance so it's best we focus on the Cyclopes" Drake said "you worry about getting the demigods away and safe. I will deal with the beasts" Drake said

 

"Nah, I'm alright." Teal wrapped the cord around the sword and swung it around his back. "And how many people are we talking about? I've been running for a while." He finished tying the cord around his front. He had managed to tie the sword on his back, but it felt strange without a sheath. He'll have to grow used to it, or find someplace to get a sheath.
Just then, Teal's stomach began to growl. He hadn't eaten since the day before, and with all the running, it felt like he hadn't eaten in a week.
"Did I mention I happen to be hungry as well?" Teal slumped to the ground, wanting to eat anything. Even the buildings were starting to look good. "I don't suppose you've got a meal in that bag of yours as well?"
The way he had felt, he didn't think that he would be able to get much more fighting done other than getting rid of a mouse.

 

"Hello passengers, this is your pilot speaking - We will be landing momentarily. We hope you've enjoyed flying with us!"
"Finally...I get to check out a few of the sights of New York. I could go and see Lady Liberty... Central Park? Empire State Building... Maybe I can ask someone which one I'm closest too. That shall be my destination." Michael muttered to himself, entering the airport's main building.
"Excuse me, sir?" he approached a security guard, figuring news of his exploits in Boston wouldn't have reached New York quite yet.
"Yes, young man?" the guard glanced at him, standing at his position, ready for any disturbances in the building.
"Can you tell me what tourist attraction is nearest here?"
"Erm, I believe the Empire State Building is the closest. Go out the main entrance, and turn right. Once you get to a main road, go left, and go around the block. I believe it's located there." the guard motioned with his hands as he explained the location of the building.
"Right, thank you, sir!" Michael called out, walking out of the large building. "Let's see...Turn...Right, then keep going until I get to a main street..." he muttered to himself, pacing his steps to make sure he was going the right way. Once he found the correct roads, he could make out the Empire State Building in the distance. "Ah-hah...There it is...", he began to jog to it, stopping abruptly, when he noticed a bit of turmoil occurring around him.
"...I was hopin' I'd get a break... Why is it always me that has to deal with this stuff?!" he whispered harshly to no one in particular.

There was no place to hide, nor to run. Cyclop was right behind her, getting ready to aim at her again. She dodged it, but in the process tripped over something and collapsed. Sylvia felt the cold pavement with her check. No... It can't be... It's not over yet. she though, while trying to stand up. Surprisingly enough, monster wasn't attacking her, giving an opportunity to escaped him. At least, Sylvia was thinking about doing it, but then she saw something. Another Cyclop. Just when she thought, she would be able to flee. And so my luck ends here... She made few steps back, thinking what to do now. Or what SHE could do now. Not much. Just as she was ready to gave up her hope in her tragic situation, she noticed something else, that surprised her. A girl, running towards her. At first, she thought it may be another average person, but something was wrong. She can see them? Sylvia asked herself with a little bit of disbelief.
