Gods of the Deep Greek OOC

Welcome to the OOC Thread!! There are lots of exciting things that will be going on here so try and stay up to date. I'll have maps, locations, photos of all the different gods being used. The groups that people will form. whenever you plan on parting ways from another person(.s) let me know so i can update the OOC Thread right away. if you have any questions or ideas feel free to post. or if you just want to add photos or beasts put them here. this will make it a lot easier for those people that don't know much about greek mythology or the riordan series, but like i said at the beginning of the original rp, the whole thing isn't solely based on the riordan books, i just used it at as a basis to get it going.

backstory: her father was blessed with the knowledge of knowing who her mother truly was. when the attacks started to become more frequent, she ran away from home, not wanting her father to be in danger any longer. ammeritta loves her family, but cares too much about their safety and wanting to know about herself to stay home. she has made it to new york, where she was told mount olympus was now residing and is hiding out in an abandoned warehouse, waiting for whomever may seek her help.

backstory: raiden met ammeritta while he was in colorado. after there was an attack on his home by some hellhounds, which to his father they just appeared as large dogs, he took off. raiden had no idea what was going on, why there was all of a sudden these creatures he had never seen before, and why it always felt as if his life was in danger. it wasn't until he met ammeritta in a diner one late night that things started to finally make sense. he didn't want to believe it, but everything started to make a lot more sense. why he was kicked out of almost all his schools, his ADHD, and the dyslexia. Ever since that night he has always traveled with her and helped others along the way.

Backstory: Taron, despite his dyslexia and ADHD, has been rather successful in his school life. However, his human mother was killed after a monster attack. He thus left home, as he had nobody to protect him. He's traveled the world in search of a place to stay and be safe. Backstory: Sylvia never was a good child. Mean, ironic and definately not nice - these three words describe her quite well. But the fact, that she wasn't popular and never wanted to be in a first place, didn't mean she was ready for what had happend one night. The night she was attacked by some monsters, she has never seen in her whole life. She escaped from them miracously and since then traveled around the country alone. She never has a good relationship with her father, so he propably didn't even care. She's seeking the answers for the question why in the world she was attacked in the first place? As for her personality, well she don't get along with other people, but still is quite intelligent and smart girl.

backstory: Drake lived his life with his grandparents. His father died when he a small child and he had no idea about his mother. He always had a feeling that he was not normal, but that feeling became the truth when his house was raided by beasts. Drake witnessed his grandparents being killed by the beast and despite his best efforts he failed to protect them and fled. Alone, Drake traveled by himself after realizing the beast were after him.

backstory: Teal has known who his father is for a while. When he was a child he would always try and "borrow" items that his siblings had. He was always into Greek mythology, and it was his favorite subject. One day, he was attacked by cyclops and managed to get away for a while. He learned from the cyclops that they were hunting for him because he was a demigod. When he found this out, he realized right then and there that his father was Hermes. Teal ran out of his home town in the country. On the way he found a katana and taught himself how to use it, all the while still being chased by the cyclops. He has been on the run from them for a few months, and manages to evade them every time they find him. Now he searches for a place of safety, hoping to finally get rid of these cyclops, as well as find out why he was being targeted by them.
other: Teal does not pay attention to others too well unless it interests him. He also learns techniques very quickly, becoming somewhat adept at many different forms of the Katana, but has never been able to master them

backstory: Raised by her mother, Ella always was a gifted musician. Even though she was dyslexic, she easily learned every instrument she could get her hands on. Then when she was fifteen, Something strange happened. She had a dream that she was in grave danger, and that she had to run away before it was too late. When she woke, there were monsters on the street outside her house, getting ready to enter. She left through the back door, hoping to get away unseen, but they followed her. She ran away and was rescued by some demigods who explained everything to her and took her to the camp. She was claimed by Apollo and soon became the cabin leader.
other: Ella never told her mother about being a demigod, in fact, she figured it would be safer for her mother if she never knew about any of this "god" stuff. Her mother still thinks she's been missing for two years, and has all but given up the search. Ella stops by the house every now and again, usually at night, just to make sure everything's all right.

backstory: Hana never knew either of her parents, her mother gave her up when she was a baby. She was adopted by a well-to-do couple who couldn't have children of their own, and was always given whatever she wanted. Still, she never was spoiled, she had a sweet disposition and a love of people in general that kept her from becoming bratty or snobbish. Then, a few months ago, Monsters started attacking her. She and her parents were bewildered, and had no idea what was going on. Then the monters attacked while she was at school. She ran away and has been running ever since.
other: She doesn't know about how cell-phones attract the monsters and whenever she thinks she's got away, she tries to call her parents. Of course, then the monsters come after her again, and she has to keep running.

weapon they have/will have: Is it alright if he currently has a daggar, but gets a katana or a sword of some sort when the story progresses?
appearance: (I always have a hard time finding a picture of what I want, so I'll simply describe his appearance. Use your imagination, y'know?) Jet black hair that is constantly simply tuffled up, never bothered to fix it, of course, unless for a special occasion - Which never occurs, running from dangers and such. His hair reaches down to about his jawline, with his bangs to the tip of the nose. A very light blue eye color, looking a bit out of place with such bright colors, with him wearing mainly dark clothes. A slightly pointed chin. A scar that begins at his temple, that runs down his cheek, ending at his chin, caused by a HellHound that he subsquently randomly flailed at with his dagger, his flails ended up killing the beast.

how long you've been on the run [if you're only 15 or 16 it can't be more than a couple months]: Seven Months
backstory: Born in Cambridge, Massachusets, his mother had always seemed to be a strange sort. Never allowing him a cell phone, or computer, claiming that, "They'll be able to find you!". Michael had always simply believed she meant something like rapists and murderers, being over-paranoid about the whole thing. He of course, was a happy child, more or less, until he entered his early fourteen - Whom he was led to believe was his biological father randomly left the household, no clue as to where he had gone or why. Michael had looked up to the man, and felt as if his main source to a guide in his life had left. His mother had also seemed to bottle up, her love and husband gone. He became a bit of a cold one. At fifteen, a form of Monster had attacked, subsequently destroying his small household, and killing his mother in the process, as she had taken the time to distract it, forcing her son out of the house.
other: He is simply a wandering soul at this point, and docking in Boston, as the constant barrage of monster attacks are always keeping him busy; Fleeing for his life, or fighting for it, with no knowledge of why this continuously occurs.

Backstory: Ever since Samson was young, he loved to help others. He was very good at taking care of others, and knew a lot of different herbs and medicines. He was also gifted at playing music, specifically string instruments. Samson grew up with ADHD and dyslexia, making school a bit of a challenge. However, he usually got B's and some A's. Life for Samson was very well, until is mother was kidnapped and then killed by a feriocious Erinyes, or Fury. Ever since then, Samson has been on the run from the dangers of ancient Greek mythology creatures.

The Camp​

The camp is a safe-haven for demigods. It is run by Chiron, a Centaur that trained many important Greek Heroes in the old world. Each Godly parent has their own cabin where all of their children live. the person who has been there the longest out of each cabin or has gone on the most quests, is the cabin leader. The security guard is Argus, a creature of Hera. His entire body is completey covered in eyes, so he can see everything. Rumor has it that he never speaks due to the fact that there is an eye on his tongue as well. When Argus cries, it creates massive floods. The entire camp is temperature controlled. It can be the middle of a snowstorm in the Long Island Sound, and the if camp will appear as a beautiful summer day. The camp is protected by a large dragon guarding the boundry. The camp has a magical barrier around it, making it so beasts can not enter it and is shrouded in the mist so mortals never see it. The woods are however filled with monsters and it is ill-advised to enter by yourself. if you are caught out of your cabin after curfew, the harpies will eat you.

just a reminder, if you seriously want to be a child of the BIG 3 things are going to be a lot harder for you. more monsters than everyone else and the gods are going to be more likely to try and have you offed. if you still feel you want to do it you will have your character accepted once you go back and check the I.C. RP quick. you are missing something. =] I also need to know where your character is going to start at city/state and how long they have been on the run.

Of course i know Eris! I've spent the last couple years really submersing myself in Greek Mythology. It's my new passion. No some grammar problems aren't a big deal. it's just constant misspelling and poor english that bother me. i myself hate capitalization. you won't see me do much of it. can't wait to see your pic. accepted! good luck on your adventures. there's one last thing the two of you are missing. it doesn't have to do with the characters. make sure you're reading the rules! >_o

accepted. i wasn't going to include the camp because i wanted to make it more original but i think i will. i'll add some more details to the ooc thread later tonight when i get off work. but the characters from the percy jackson series and the heroes of olympus series wont be in this one. there will be characters like chiron and argus however, since they actually in greek mythology.
