Since it's release in 2010, this game has been compared to Monster Hunter many times, and for good reason as the format of the gameplay is almost completely the same: You take on missions to fight a certain type of monster, and it will be waiting for you once you roam around the stage for a little while. The reason I recommend Gods Eater is because not only does it have a story line to pull you in, but there are certain features to it that make it much easier to play than Monster Hunter (i.e. Not having to worry about choosing between gun or sword for a certain boss, as you can switch between the two instantly during gameplay).

Anyway, enough of the comparisons. Have you played this game? Have you been looking into buying it? Share your thoughts.

I have completed the game, and it's pretty fun. (but really, REALLY hard at times) I'm looking very forward to the sequel and manga midquel. Having not played any of the Monster Hunter games (but I've played Lord of Arcana), GEB is a good way to get into the genre. Sakuya~

Kota was useless for me though.

I have to say, I've been meaning to pick up this game for quite some time.

Is this a good game to try out? Or is it bad? Any tips?
