It's kinda sad.. If it was about his brother ok.. but this game sounds to me "LOL we said GOW III would be the last, now he will do prequels for ever 8D"

Well hey, I'm actually interested. Finally a prequel that's not on the PSP.
What's cool is that since it happens waay before God of War. I assume a part of the game will also be Pre-Ares, so we won't have the Chain Blades. A God of War without its iconic weapon? I'm sold, just because it's something new.

You... didn't read the thread did, you? It's already been announced. It was GoW, which was way too predictable. I wonder how spin offs/prequels they will make out of this series.

 

A prequel to GoW? Bored.

Could have been anything more interesting then introducing the same characters, enemies and gameplay as before. I see little potential for major improvement in the series as a result. But i'll wait for details all the same.

 

:/ I won't be buying a playstation 3 unless Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out and its an exclusive. So I won't be playing this new GoW. I have read up on the other games' stories, and I find this game kinda pointless. However, I'm sure that it will have good gameplay mechanics like Jon said. Also, it kinda satisfies the hardcore god of war fans.

Not to pick apart your opinion, but they are trying to reboot the dmc series, and look how much negative response that's getting. :/

Wow. Alright, whatever. I'm sure it'll be a blast, but God of War multiplayer seems odd for some reason.

 

i thought they finished the series. multiplayer seems kind of useless though. fun maybe, but unnecessary. but they're really milking this franchise, aren't they?

 

Yeah... I would rather they do co-op than straight out competitive multiplayer. Kind of peeved as well that this might have an effect on the length of the single player since the GoW games are pretty short already. Also, I'm not really concerned with them milking the franchise but why greek mythology again? I don't really think that there can be that much to Kratos' story which we hadn't already seen in the other games.

For those interested, Tyler Bates composed Watchmen. I'm definitely looking forward to that >_>
Though I don't know what they mean when they say that it won't be like GoW3, and will resemble GoW1 & 2 more.
