It's probably God of War IV, or a vita title. If it is, Sony is basically just announcing the game to hype the crap out of it even before E3.

Since it's Sony title, I doubt they would be hyping out a multiplatform game, unless Rockstar decided to forget about the 360 >_>
This is cool though. I just hope this tease doesn't end up disappointing us (Because let's face it, they always disappoint us).

I'm hoping it'll be a new IP honestly. I don't see God of War needing anymore entries, and the first existing series I thought of was Red Dead Redemption, but that's multi-platform.

I think GoW was a bit overused and the Third had a lame ending... yet they left out of the game the brother of Kratos that is probabily another son of Zeus, and there where a video about him getting his revange, and some info leaked about GoW IV.

Actually, Kratos' brother, Deimos, is in God of War Ghost of Sparta, which is a PSP game that came out a year ago or something.
And the ending to God of War III was alright. It left me somewhat unsatisfied, but they could have done a lot worse.

I'm just saying I thought of it as that. The whole plot of RDR is summed up in that question, pretty much.

It could be that they 'reboot' the series, in that they don't use Greek Gods and use Norse, Chinese, Japanese, Babylonian, etc gods instead. I would prefer that if they were to do the GoW brand again, Greek gods get all the attention, how often do the Chinese gods get a go?

I doubt it's has to do with RDR, because Rockstar would be to ones to say it. I really wish it was though, because I would much rather have a new Red Dead than a new God of War title.

All the gods are dead. What's the point really?

More interesting? On the whole the Greek gods are most recognisable of gods, but also the most distilled of them all. It lacks originality at this point, and isn't interesting as a result.
Have you read Journey to the West? Because that book shows you the most well constructed and expansive use of mythology in almost all mythological cultures, with as much deceit, back stabbing, family issues, phenomenal powers as Greek mythology or even more. Just has to be presented in the right way to people, and I'm sure the culture difference would be negligible at the end result.

Calling it right now, it's going to be a flash game or something similiar. It's like the Uncharted facebook game that was revelead a bit back, seems remarkably similar.
