What are you apologizing for? .-.

You have one opinion, they have theirs. There's absolutely nothing you should apologize for. Nobody here posted out of spite.. as far as I can tell anyway. It might just be my eternal optimism blinding me. >_>

If God truely is benevolent then he wouldn't punish people by doing that he would simply ban them to hell for all eternity...
But honestly I think it's all just a nagging thought. God would never hurt people on purpose to prove a point.

Like most of have said, if God truly wanted to punish us, he'd have already done it. But instead people start very supersticious rumors using God and Christianity to scare other human beings, which can sometimes have drastic outcomes. The Golden Compass, from what I've heard about the author, is an atheist and hates God truly, but how can he hate something he doesn't believe? That brings up a new topic right there. Why hate something you don't believe in, he seems slightly possessive if you'd ask me. Oh and by the way, I read that book, I'm even a Christian and I actually liked parts of the plot, I know what I am and what I believe, so I just brush off the whole 'let's hunt God down and kill him' kind of thing.

But in Christianity when God made the world, he also made the weather, which he can control, but he simply chooses to let it go it's own way, which can also sometimes choose our fates, especially if it's a drastic type of storm, like a hurricane. God also, from what I've learned, supposedly knows everything, so that means he knows what's going to happen before it's even fully planned out. He gave us free will and that includes what happens on our planet and it often involves us screwing things up, or so it seems in my view. If God truly wanted to punish us, he could just control us like puppets and plan out our lives for us, but he didn't truly want that. That's basically my opinion.

    hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

hate it when people say: "He'd already have done it" or" If there is a god, let hm strike me with thunder......."
YOU! have no power over GOD! I think we're Punished enough on Earth that there is no hell, we already there. Thats why God doesn't use the fire and brimstone technique anymore.
