khsuperfan, dont try and convert everybody at kh-vids. We have the right to choose what we think, and if you want to make a good argument, at least use proper grammar, instead of typing in caps with 50 exclamation points. And use proper spelling. Seriosly, instead of being like BECOME CHRISTIAN NAO OR U FAIL, you could just argue a point civilly.

    Few things.
    1. That has nothing to do with the topic.
    2. Xendran's grammar is worlds better than yours. He also doesn't use ten thousand exclamation points to get his point across.
    3. You are doing things that can be insults to people. Even if you don't realize it.
    4. Comparing people to your sisters doesn't help you. Quite frankly, it makes you look like a wimp.
    5. Look who's whining now. =\

    Back on topic.
If there was a God (and I'm not saying there isn't), I don't think humanity would be at the stage just yet for divine punishment. I'd think that time would come if a nuclear war or similar large-scale destruction of humanity broke out. Then by all means, kill us. Create better humans and repopulate Earth.

However, say that there isn't a God. All natural disasters are from the Earth itself, meaning that there's a change in climate, or possibly even the Earth's interior. We don't really know what goes on in the core (or even what it's really made of, though we do have an idea), as temperatures are too high for any instruments to be sent down and record things.

Humanity has a limit; one day the Sun will expand and die, thus causing the end of our Solar System. Earth either gets scorched or drifts off into deep, cold space. We die either way.

If God wanted to punish us, he should of started with Adams and Eve by taking them away and making two new humans, but IMO most the things he tells us NOT to do, he only say to see if we can think for our selves and go "Hey what would happen if we DO do them things" we're all naive to start off with and like children we just want to go and see what happens when we do things we're told not to do. So if God is punishing us, he sure did leave it late, even if i don't believe in him.

A point I ponder is if "God" is really angry, how will we KNOW if he is indeed trying to destroy us "ahead of time"? Most of our problems are related to people after all, and according to many of the texts, "God" cannot directly influence someone to do these things. So really it's a matter of if the weather is controlled by something divine or if sickness is directly caused by a divine being. In the case of sickness, we sure are combating angry God decently considering +6 billion of us are still alive, relatively speaking. But eh, really how would we know?

...I thought by the time "God" was throughly through being angry with us, Hell wouldn't even exist nor will any of the sinner as he and his Host would have throughly destroyed/smote it. I could easily be wrong though as I do not study the text....

I don't study religious things myself, but I think that if "God" were angry at us, not every single person on Earth would be going to Hell. That just kind of defeats the purpose of Heaven and Hell, right? If "God" were to, say, smite everyone, wouldn't it make sense for the people that He's truly angered at to go to Hell, and the people that did do things to help humanity stay stable go to Heaven?

But I suppose that that method could work, as if there really is a "God", He could just create new humans, tell them the story of how the first human race was so bad that he sent them all to Hell. Resulting in a nervous and probably perfectionist new human race.

ok, i don't believe in Hell. Thats my opinion. I really do think EArth is hell, thats why he hasn't killed us all in some sun exploding end to the world. Because we suffer enough as it is. What is the most important thing about life?...the thing that all you really have in the end? It the experiences. Nothing else really matters. Whether you're an Athiest, a Christian, a Budhist, its all the same. All of them can agree on that one thing. thats my opinion(i'm really getting tired of saying that).

Well...I don't think that the "God" figure controls everything; it's a scientific fact that OUR Sun will die and the Solar System will collapse. Totally different thing, though.

We may suffer here on Earth, but if I'm not mistaken, isn't Hell eternal suffering? Human life is limited, therefore being mortal, while your soul is supposedly immortal and is either saved and goes to Heaven or is damned and goes to Hell. And besides, not all life is suffering. Some Buddhists follow the teachings of Gotama Siddhartha (Buddha) and follow the Eightfold Path to get to Nirvana (freedom from all things suffering). They devote their lives studying his teachings in order to eliminate their suffering.

It's not just experiences. It's what you make of life that defines the person you are, as well as the things you do.

The sun isn't due to explode for a solid set of billions of years. Also what -is- suffering? If mortal life on Earth is indeed hell, then we certainly are still able to "enjoy" our "punishment". Some people can truly enjoy life here, even if it is a fleeting feeling, but once more it is merely a mindset, you can create your own heaven/hell here on Earth and that's what makes it so special on this planet. True you have experiences but what's even more important is memory and senses (though this is relative to the thinker).

(And though this is just my opinion, it would be much easier to read this if it was re-read before posting...)

Well uh.. one of the primary teachings of Christianity is that God is loving, and that he will always forgive you. So, if Christians are telling you that God is angry with your or something, then they're pretty much forgetting the whole, "Unending love and forgiveness" parts of the Bible.

That's true. But in today's world, we seem to be able to throw away old customs pretty fast.
You guys do know that this is about "God" punishing humans, not if he exists or not, right?
I've had some pretty tough luck, but still, saying "God" is a crappy guy may not be the best idea to do. Especially not if religious people are reading/replying to the thread, cuz that could start a war. >_>

    *cough me coughcough splutter die*

Although old customs are shed pretty quickly, every Sunday in church we say several prayers about God's forgiveness and everlasting love.

    xD

Ah...well...I'm not a religious person, so I just said what I've been seeing around me.
So then according to the Bible, God doesn't hate humanity, and it's very unlikely that He'd send us all to Hell.

    Lul, I don't think I'd actually start a war. :P

But, there are other people who believe in God, just in different ways (Like Jewish people..), so that's just my point of view.

I don't believe that God "takes" people and can "give them back" like so many people believe. People think that God has a direct influence on everything that happens on this Earth, but I believe he doesn't. To me, God is our creator, observing our actions, and offering his love and support through religion and prayer.
