    Way to contradict yourself.

PLEASE ANSWER MY QUESTION AS TO WHY "GOD" KILLED DINOSAURS. THANK YOU. =D

I don't really know. I'll do a little bit of research on it and come back to you. ok? ill be right back

Ok so this is basically what I researched for a couple minutes and found this.

While the radioactive dating method is innovative, it is still based on speculation and assumption. In contrast, the Bible account in the first chapter of Genesis simply states the general order of creation. It allows for possibly thousands of millions of years for the formation of the earth and many millenniums in six creative eras, or “days,†to prepare the earth for human habitation.
Some dinosaurs (and pterosaurs) may indeed have been created in the fifth era listed in Genesis, when the Bible says that God made “flying creatures†and “great sea monsters.†Perhaps other types of dinosaurs were created in the sixth epoch. The vast array of dinosaurs with their huge appetites would have been appropriate considering the abundant vegetation that evidently existed in their time.—Genesis 1:20-24.
When the dinosaurs had fulfilled their purpose, God ended their life. But the Bible is silent on how he did that or when. We can be sure that dinosaurs were created by God for a purpose, even if we do not fully understand that purpose at this time. They were no mistake, no product of evolution. That they suddenly appear in the fossil record unconnected to any fossil ancestors, and also disappear without leaving connecting fossil links, is evidence against the view that such animals gradually evolved over millions of years of time.

Well, Chimps have been inventing quite a few new wooden tools in the past few decades, so they're probably at a kind of crossroads right now - will this new trend in intelligence for them continue, and allow them to adapt and survive a human-controlled world, or will they go extinct?

It has been well-known for a while that many animals on earth (many great apes, mostly, but others like dolphins can point to signs or indicate them in another way) can learn sign language, and some (chimps in particular) even make up new words for previously unknown items (like a word for a food they have never had until then). Other animals are known to paint (sometimes) intelligible pictures, or pass simple IQ tests, or other feats which would give them at least some kind of higher-level intelligence. None are precisely equal to humans (yet), or believe me, you would be hearing about it, but some are startlingly close.

And I, personally, am pinning my hopes on Chimpanzees to be the first non-human intelligence we meet (barring any outer-space discoveries, lol - I watch WAY too much Star Trek).

So is that proving the Great Intelligence and Rising of Animals? Or the faling and terrible intelligence of Humans?

The first one. We are as intelligent as we have been for the last few hundred thousand years, if not more so. But, as Nature is known for doing, other animals are catching up to us. Necessity breeds evolution, after all. If being able to gather more food with a better, manipulated stick (as the chimpanzees are doing) is more adaptive, then those that have the intelligence to do it will live long enough to pass on their intelligence to future generations.

God is just something people use to answer the unknown. Like before we leaned how to fly, people used to say it wasn't ever going to be possible for us because God made it so. We sure were stupid, now we know. Then here comes the question, where did the universe come from? Is the answer God did it? It's only because it's unknown that people come up with that answer. Science will someday find the truth.

You're saying that humans have the power to make a difference. If God wanted to save the starving children wouldn't he just save them already? He probably wants them to suffer and we should obey him and shouldn't do anything to interfere.

A person isn't saved from a murderer by God, it's the community and chance that does it. A person sees someone suspicious enter someone's home, so they call 9-1-1. And no, 9-1-1 does not have anything do do with the 9/11 attacks, it's just a mere coincidence.

God doesn't do any Big Miracles anymore... you should really read the other posts to catch up then... Humans are making choices... wrong ones... we should care for these other people that are less fortunate but we as a human race dont. God isn't going to step in now becuz of what i said at the beginning of my post.

God doesn't do big miracles anything anymore? Sounds like you're losing faith, and that's your answer for God's absence. So you agree that people should get off their pray-all-day butts and go out and actually help?

That doesn't make us better. That just means we can do something they can't. Just like how they can do things we can't, like running faster (some, like a cheetah), or swimming very fast and staying under water for an extended period of time (shark). They are all specializations (or seem to be, at the very least) that promote adaptations and more skill in a specific task. But NONE of them make them inferior.

If we could ever have a "superior" quality (if there is such a thing), it would be our more specialized ability to create, think and cognitively develop. We are "smarter" in the sense of how we think, but our capability is still at the same, because our environment is what produced these abilities/qualities.

Considering there is no legitimate way for you to prove you are, I am simply denying the possibility that you could possibly be a vampire.

In much the same fashion some people just assume God is real.

The only difference is I'm not believing you.

(Hopefully you see I'm not really supporting your argument, but I'm not debasing it either. I'm just pointing out your argument is very circular. A "let's pretend game," you could call it.)

We are one of the top species in terms of adaptability. By that I mean when the climate changes (or we migrate to a new climate) we are able to survive and adapt in such a way that allows us to continue propagating. Other organisms (mostly bacteria) can survive in much more extreme conditions, but if you moved them to other environments they would not survive for very long.

I think that puts us much higher than virtually all other life on earth in terms of "superiority", although that kind of goes back to an argument of semantics.

On the topic of this thread, just because we are the most adaptable does not mean that we had to be designed. It is basic common sense that over time the most adaptable species would be the one that becomes most widespread. It would also be the one to have the biggest chance for evolution to take place and therefore increasing the chance of sapience occurring (which it obviously did for humans).

I actually take the creation stories as metaphors and not real ways of saying what happened. (I ran into this problem in 2nd grade or so, trying to fit the dinosaurs' thousand of years into the 7 days creation story. That created a headache). So I don't believe Adam and Eve existed, more like God gave us free will to make a choice and that's what we're doing.

    I love you.

But seriously, I think that there was an Adam and Eve, they were just more primitive beings, which then adapted and evolved into the humans that we have today. This ability was given to us by God to make us "in his image," aka we have the potential and the ability to be nearly anything.

Bacteria is more important than you are.

So you know what? Yeah, you aren't equal to bacteria, you're worth less.

This might seem like a troll post, but there's a lot of truth in it. The bacteria in the nitrogen cycle are more important to the Earth than we are.

Uh, if you didn't have bacteria you'd die.

Doesn't matter how intelligent you are, bacteria are more important than you ever will be.

Define important. Semantics may be boring and tedious, but they can be very important in a debate.

Well I'm sorry if I was mislead by the giant picture spam of bacteria that you deleted.

Uh, it really has nothing to do with the actual debate. Saw some guy post "bacteria aren't equal to me", so I posted that in response that one statement in terms of ecology rather than religion :C

Well actually, in accordance to the initial debate topic, it serves no purpose, but now people are pretty much starting to talking about animals, adaptability, intelligence, etc, so I guess it has some correlation.
