Glitches: a good or bad thing about games?

Glitches are often considered as really annoying parts of games such as screen-freeze, graphical failures, etc etc. A lot of gamers think they're really fun though. What do you think?

 

To me only the minority of glitches are funny, most of them are annoying.

 

id say both most of them are annoying though

 

It depends on what type of glitch. A good glitch could give you unlimited ammo, a bad on could leave you stuck in one spot. So I would go with both.

Depends on the glitch to be honest, some of them can be pretty amusing or intersting, but some of them can be irritating as ****. I especially hate screen freeze, on the second Ratchet sometimes it freezes and I have to switch it off to get past it.

 

Glitches can be cool sometimes, I searched one up on Killzone 2 which got you in to another part of the area which you couldn't go in to. On the other hand there was one time when I went in to a Cluckin' Bell in GTA: San Andreas and I encountered a glitch where I went in to the restaurant without going in to the door and I was stuck in there. So I had to reset the game and had to do the same mission again.

 

Funny when your not doing anything important in a game, bad when it gets you killed... And you have to spend another 15 minutes through unskippable cutscenes.

 

Glitches are fun in private games with your friends, but not in ranked matches or anything.
And obviously "game breaking glitches" aren't fun (like how my guy was stuck in a jesus pose in Fable ll).

 

Neh, they're pretty cool most of the time. Although, some glitches kinda ruin the idea of the game >_>. But hey I ain't complaining, its your game do what you want with it. Of course... online glitching is a completely different story.

 

Both: They can be fun if it's a hilarious glitch, there's a glitch in KH2 where Sora can be stuck in the wall just spinning around and around and around and after a while it becomes entertaining. But things like screen freezeare really annoying, then again if you freeze in a funny position it can amuse you.

 

Well honestly it dependes on the glitch like:
Pokemon cloning:Both good and bad do it alot no SAV do it once Cloned pokes
Sephy falling:Good as you recharge and inflict a combo
a dead dude shoting bullets : EVIL

 

Glitches are only good if they are debug glitches. Like in Sonic 2 for the Sega Genesis.

 

i think they are fun but they can also be annoying, for me i dont really look for glitches i just usualy find them when i look for other things

I used to LOVE glitches back when I played Sonic 2 for the SEGA Genesis...But that was different...

Usually glitches can be a bad thing...

But I'm still not quite sure how different glitches and "bugs" are...

Glitches on your own time are sometimes fun if they provide a hilarious result, but if you're playing online and you glitch ruins the fun for another person that's when it crosses the line.

 

Some glitches can be harmless fun, like the swing glitch on GTA IV.
But others can be exploited to go further into a level, skipping a main part; like the Mini-gun Man-cannon in Left 4 Dead (Which is now patched D=)

The most pain in the ass glitch I ever encountered was spawning into a pillar on CoD5's Nazi Zombies.

 

I can't vote on this. I'm a glitch master in games, i have found some amazing and funny glitches in a couple of spyro games. Yet screen freezes annoy me SO BAD but i love glitch finding so thats y i cant vote

 

Most glitches are annoying, especially screen freezes or *shivers* glitches that mess up your save file. Some can be interesting, fun or even useful, but most of them are not.
