It all depends on your definition of equal. In a general sense yes, there is very little separate the two genders. But just as two individuals are not physically equally, or equal in skill etc the same can be said about the sexes.

However I doubt any outright "superior" could ever be determined, there are too many "one is good at that, but the other is good at this" arguments.

I agree. There really is no reason to start this thread. It's one of life's qusetions where no one wins.

obvious troll. How are you still on this site? Every post I have seen from you is pointless and only serves to get people mad at you. I'm genuinely surprised you haven't been banned yet.

That, actually, was not trolling whatsoever, that was a genuine statement. If you live in happy-go-lucky la-la-land where waffles grow out of the ground and raindbow sunshine rays are part of a blaanced breakfast, then sure you can go ahead and think that "lol, everyones equal! no one is better than the other, we're all special! xD". But then, you'd also happen to be ****in ******ed.

@Sorceror_Jenkins, how about we talk about ACTUAL girls and not animated drawings?

As for this question, its ******ed.Can people just accept that everyone is equal WITHOUT needing to wonder this?

If I were to guess he's trying to lure people into disagreeing with him by sticking to a bold statement which seems wrong at first glance but is actually correct.

As to why TheMuffinMan isn't banned yet I think it's because he often flirts with the line of what's allowed and what's not. For instance, this particular post has him insulting people but not directly. And he is still on-topic.

There is a point in saying everyone is not equal. We simply aren't, except by defined 'rights' which are given to us by society. TMM has a point. However, to say that the 'male whole gender' is superior to the 'female whole gender' or vice versa, is basically ignorant. It's the same as saying someone of one ethnicity is superior to another. Group generalizations tend to fail often.

In gym class, surely people know we aren't all made equal. Some people can run faster, lift more, play a better game of basketball, can take more punishment physically etc. In classes otherwise, there are those that are extremely gifted with a great memory and others who can't remember a math formula to save their lives, those who can spell better, have better grammar, can comprehend certain classes better than others, etc. This division is not based necessarily on just one component. If it seems so, sometimes it is also because of how an individual is raised.

Genetics as well as environment play factors in how well people will do, but also there is determination too. All three components determine how successful we can be at things and it allows some to excel at certain things while others are going to suck at those things. Whether male or female, if the person is not into doing physical activities, is pain sensitive, and hates to sweat, or has some injury, and is raised to be gentle and not enjoy sports etc, the person is not going to excel at sports. Male or female, if the person does not apply him/herself to school work, finds it difficult to study, doesn't care, or has a poor memory capacity, is closed-minded, has some mental disorder that isn't addressed etc, that person is going to not do well in classes. We all simply are not equals in what we can do. Equality comes from saying that we all have the intelligence capable of doing something with our lives and that we have the right to vote, drive, marry, have relationships, get jobs, etc. There simply will always be those who are extremely gifted and who will use what they have to excel. There also will be those who are not so gifted but work their butts off to be great anyway because they push what they have to the extreme. Then there are those who won't barely even try, whether they have the talents or not.

The phrase "more superior" makes absolutely no sense, and the subject matter of this thread is far from intelligent. Good day

EXACTLY! The point I was making earlier is that no one gender was superior to another, but when it comes to individuals, it's quite clear that some people are better at things than others, depending on what you consider to be important. An athlete might think that anyone who doesn't have athletic talent is not as good as he is (especially if he is one of the vastly overpaid American professional athletes), but I, who cannot play any sport to save my life, think it is much better, in fact vastly superior, to be able to think and analyze. Artists tend to thing that inartistic people are not worth the time of day, etc etc. And of course there are the all-around talented people, sometimes called Renaissance Men, who seem to excel at whatever they try. They probably pity the rest of us who have to specialize. It's all subjective, depending on what you're good at or what you value above all else.

Haha. I'd love to just yell out: "GIRLS RULE!"
    But no...-_-

It has nothing to do with gender.
    It depends on the person.

    Not everyone is equal but...
I don't think that has anything to do with gender at all in this time.
I think that it just has to do with that individual person.

This is the worse debate ever.
Nobody might have started this thread but, it is always an issue.
    Gosh especially in my school.

And is it weird this thread reminds me of this song?

So essentially, what everyone is saying is:

Hermaphrodites are superior to everyone else.

It doesn't matter. Think about it. It is 50:50 whether you are a girl or boy. My biology teacher showed us this. He pout a penny on the table tales up. that's the X chromosome. He then flipped a coin. It was tales. That person was a girl. He then flipped it again, it was heads. That was the Y chromosome, it was a boy. It doesn't matter if you're male or female or even hermaphrodite (lol) just be yourself.

My philosophy on this is both awkward and self-built; men and women, and even those imbetween, all have their perks. Men, on average, brute force. Women, on average, superior parental instincts. Those imbetween - although I really don't want to say it - tolerance. No one can be superior unless they have it all. Take God for example. Omniscient. Omnipotent. No mortal is like Him.

Girls, girls , girls, for these reasons:

    1. We can multi-task
    2. We can make people feel guilty easily
    3. We're seductive
    4. We are the caring-est and b*tchiest people on this planet
    5. We know all
    6. We're fashionable
    7. And I can own Syaoran-kun in a matter of seconds ;)
