    uh oh...

I've never been to six flags...I think it's because Loony toons always scared me when I was a kid.

I feel sorry for the girl, but when you go to an amusement park it is a risk you take when you put yourself up in rollercoasters and things like that.
I have never been to six flags myself, but I don't think it would stop me going if someone died.
Like in an amusement park we have near where I live two kids have died in this ufo thing, one from a broken back and the other one for almost breaking her head off. But that doesn't stop me from going to the park, because it's a risk I take. But I didn't get to take the ufo thing again because it was naturally shut down. And I like rollercoasters. It's like Mish said some people like the adrenalin and at least you would die doing something you love.

i disagree with the risk bit. the park should be responsible for your safety.

Yes, but you can never be 100% sure of that.
So it is a risk you are taking.

No, but that is what makes it a risk.

i realize that. but again... your safety is the parks responsibility, so, if they tok proper measures, again, you shouldnt have to worry.

Isn't that the same with anything though? Leaving your house is a risk in case you get hit by a car, going to work is a risk in case of an accident?

Places like amusement parks are mean to be safe, it is about adrenalin yes but it is about the thrill not the risk. Well lets face it, if the parks were not safety approved then they wouldn't take as much money, so in a way they have to be safe to ensure their own profits.

This is an awful accident to have happened, and I really do not think any blame can be put on her for taking a risk.

Many things in live involves a risk.
Even cars are meant to be safe, but still accidents happen. And cars have to be safety approved. I am just trying to show you it in a more netural way when I say cars instead of things in an amusement park.
Many things are also supposed to be safe/ have to be, but they fail at times to.
But it's up to each individual what risk they are willing to take.
I am not saying that if you want ot risk your legs go to an amusement park, but sometimes you just have to take the consequences of other peoples idiocy.
Like when the girl went to the amusement park, took the risk and lost her legs because someone didn't do their job good enough to make it safe enough.
