rollercoaster? I heard it was a ride like the tower of terror. Either way this is a truly sad happening and we should all be praying for the victim.

Yes, my bad. Let me rephrase: Yet another reason to not go on any type of amusement ride at all.

    Pleasant.

In all honesty, I don't see what we're trying to discuss other than severed body parts. I'm never going to Six Flags ever, it sucks anyway I've been there before and it was boring.

Never been to Six Flags but I went to an amusement park like, a week after someone had died there, lol. I was really mad because I'd wanted to ride the attraction that the person had died on.. but they closed it. :/

Anyway, why do you think people enjoy thrill rides so much? Because there is that feeling that they're doing something dangerous. It's the same adrenaline rush if someone were to go skydiving or some other extreme sport. That's why it's silly when people say 'omg another reason not to go on rides', you wusses. :P

I love rollercoasters, and I'm not scared of them because I know that if I die on one, I will have died doing something I love. xD

Too bad for that girl, though.

God, that's terrible. I don't think I'll ever be going to Six Flags again...

That poor girl...now she's going to be handicapped because people didn't inspect the ride properly. And she was in shock from the whole thing...I feel so sorry for her.

It was a terrible accident, but I'm not going to stop riding amusement park rides because of it. However, I'm not saying that something like that is unlikely to happen again.

I can't help but feel sorry for that girl.

....It's horrible....I fear Amusement Parks, carnivals, and Fairs because they are so dangerous. Usually, people do stupid things, and that causes their deaths. But...sometimes...it's the equipment it'self. This is why I don't go on big, scary rides...I'm too afraid to....

Lol, if I wasn't so lazy I could probably find some statistics that say you're more likely to get injured in a car on the way to a amusement park.

It's just that theme park accidents get so much publicity...

I've been to Six Flags a few times and I see nothing special about it. It's nothing better than carnival rides.

That's ******ed how something that's supposed to be fun is so dangerous.

I really feel sorry for the poor girl.

I've been to Six Flags a few times, I usualy stick to the less intense rides. Although reading about this accident makes me feel uneasy about riding another amusment park ride again.

Jeez what a terible accident. Im not surprised this happened at Six Flags. Thats a great park. And thats the problem. Six Flags attracts so many people so all the bad Amusement Park accidents happen there...

    Poor Girl...

I understand where you all are coming from and I really feel sorry for her, but it was just a really bad freak accident. I love rides and I wouldn't stop going on them just because of this.

I feel really sad for the girl who had to endure that. It is one of the few times where the accident actually is the fault of the equipment and not the person who actually is goofing around and does something stupid like unstrap themselves before going upside down on a coaster. I hope she will be alright. However, I can see why it instills fear, but I would not avoid my favorite rides because of this. Crap happens and as tragic as it can be, I still get into my car despite having seen enough accidents from driving too. I will say though that I don't particularly trust those 'drop' rides any way and much prefer the roller coasters.
