Girl Sues Tattoo Parlor

Not really newsworthy, but:
Apparently, she asked for three stars on her forehead, fell asleep, and woke up with 56. Tattoo artist said she was awake the whole time and agreed to 56 and is only suing because of her family's and friend's reactions.

I personally think she agreed to all 56 but was surprised at how ugly it came out.

I'm kinda thinking that, too.
You gotta have a pretty crazy sleep cycle that you'll be tired enough to fall asleep when there's needles jabbing your face.

 

It didn't say if she had this or not, but narcolepsy + sleep-talking could produce this effect - she could have agreed while asleep. My mom used to sleep-walk and talk, and she said she frequently freaked out her roommates by having full, intelligible conversations with them, seemingly fully alert, then not remembering them in the morning.

 

Fell asleep? While getting tatted? Bullshit.

 

Well when you put it that way then yeah its BS ..she's probably just mad that she has to live with the hideous tats forever now.

 

Heh. It isn't like the guy had any reason for doing 53 more tatoos then supposed to. That is a waste of ink and time. So there really isn't a point...I agree with the tatoo artist, she's just pissed that it turned out like crap.

 

I read about this yesterday and found it amusing... I agree with the tatooist, how the hell do you fall asleep when there's needles sticking into you.​

 

Look up "narcolepsy". You can indeed get super-tired and fall asleep at random times. If she also had a high pain tolerance, it's possible she barely felt the needles.

 

Actually it isn't that uncommon for people to fall asleep getting tattooed.

I know someone who when they got their back done fell asleep because of how relaxed they were.

Whilst sure it is needles sticking in your skin, it isn't like OMFGHOLYSHITPAINOMG some people find it quite relaxing. I mean heck, look at acupuncture.

That being said, I find it hard to believe the artist would have just taken it into his own hands to just continue adding more and more stars, so I think she is lying about.

 

Let me rephrase my statement.

Fell asleep? While getting your face tatted? That many stars? Bullshit.

I heard this on the news and I'm having a hard time believing that she fell asleep. I herd that the only reason she is sueing is because her dad and boyfriend didn't like it. But they also payed the guy after it was all done.

 

Yeah, I read this in the newspaper. I'm not sure what to think of it. There are a lot of charlatans in that business so he could have been pretending to not understand her.
Then again teenagers her age aren't exactly the most honest folks in existence either... And yeah, it's not very likely that she fell asleep during the session.

Seems to me like it is a waste for a tattoo artist to put on 53 additional stars to her face and well, he'd know he was at risk if he did violate codes etc. I'm almost sure, with how I know the places work, that she has to be lying. Also, it isn't impossible to fall asleep while getting tattoos. They don't hurt that bad at all except if you get them in sensitive areas. It always kind of tickles to me.

 

Sure. so, if she also talks in her sleep (which was not covered in the article), she could very easily have requested extra stars. People who sleep-talk can seem perfectly alert and rational, and then remember nothing of the conversation later. It's a recognized medical condition.

 

Nope, she said she fell asleep all right. At least that's what I read.

 

Here's an update.
Turns out I was half-right. She changed her story because of what her dad thought, not because she hated it.

The tattoo artist says no hard feelings, but I'd pissed. But oh well, at least he did get publicity.

Ok, so that blows my explanation out of the water... Dangit.

 

The tattoo artist must be one hell of a nice guy to not be EXTREMELY angry after something like this. I mean, he was almost sued. ._.
In any case, I hope this teaches her how a little white lie can turn into something horrendously big. Asking for 56 stars on your face is sort of ridiculous if you ask me, but doing that and then lying about it?!
