Gaah, I'm so sorry for not commenting more often Hissora! I'll try changing that, but for now you shall receive MAJOR REPLIKU LENGHT CNC POST. Or I'll try. :3

For starters, the outfit design looks pretty good for my eyes. Don't know why, but it's giving me Tifa wibes. Coolies. I noticed that you remembered adding folds on the fabric in some places, the problem is that it's not easy to see them. Make those clearer, make them show! :3 I'm mostly refering to the areas where the hips/waist are, the area where the long skirt is "attached" could use some strongly visible folds - the more streatchy/wide the skirt is, the longer folds possibly. It's something to study in how fabric works used on the human body.

The body - I'm pretty sure you've noticed it yourself. I'll try pinning down everything that I spot.

There's this "stretch" effect thing going on in the area where the neck starts from the upper body to the head. It's like..... someone had been dragging her by the head, resulting in the neck to appear in a higher position than naturally possible. It kinda goes too far backwards, you know? That's the current impression I'm getting. That area is a very tricky one of the human anatomy, so don't be ashamed.

What I'd do with that? When drawing that area, it's like those lego bricks - they're different parts of something, but you attach them together to build something up. If you imagine the upper body as a beanbag WITHOUT a neck, then it's a beanbag with two orbs on either side. (shoulder joints) Now, imagine where the spine line is. You know already that it's a little curvy in shape, but it works as a center line for the human body. Which will help you greatly if you work with that in your head. The spine is also a part of what keeps the neck up. The neck is our lego brick, that we attach with the spine line in mind. When that has been done, that is when the lineart is coming from the shoulder joints, on it's way to the part where neck connects with spine. Very importaint to know the size of the neck is, the highest point would be where the spine is running, while the front is hidden by the face so it should look like it's shorter there.

In other words: my conclusion would be that you lower the neck hight like that, the final spine hight could work with how your front hight is currently.

.. I can't believe I tried to explain all of that, lol.. It's easier when it's shown to you. Meh.

Very great to see that you are working on a curvy shape for the body, since that's how the female body works like. Maybe add a liiittle bit more, creating a bigger curve? At least, that's how it usually works when you want to draw a hot girl. Weird thing, I know. Curves are hot.

The hands.... We both know those things are a pure pain in the [insert word of choice] to draw, even moreso to get them looking real and believable. There is simply only one thing that can be done. Study how each part interacts with one another, the smallest of movement makes all the difference. Use your own hand, and draw as many possible moves as possible: open hand, clutched hand, palm up, palm down, Star Trek sign, anything goes. Especially when the hand is holding an object, like both are doing in this drawing. If you use skeleton lines + orb joints + cube and sausage shape then it might be easier building it up.

How long must you keep drawing over and over? It's never ending. Mastering it is what you know.... art geniouses would do. And even they find something that is wrong.

Basicly that's what I've got for you this time. There's something with the head too, it might be the distance between the eyes and nose? I'm not so sure, but it could be fixed adjusting the outer lines of the cheeks/shape of face.

You're doing great so far, Hissora! Just keep at it!

I have to catch my bus now. O.o

I hit my head against that wall of text.

Since coco covered just about everything, I'll add work a tad bit on the shading. C^: Keep up, though!

DDD8 I gotts competition with Coco in critiquing art? :dead: I'd come and critique you all aspiring artists regularly, but I keep disappearing from the forums . . . :sideways: I should show up a bit more often. Anyway . . . I digress. Dx

Actaully, hun—er—Hissora, I'd beg to differ when you say that her arms are too skinny. I rather see it as just fine in terms of width [though it rather looks a bit muscular to me xD], however, the length of it is off. One arm is longer than the other, and also the proportions for the individual arms are a little off as well. Hands . . . well, since Coco covered most of the stuff in this piccy including the hands, and she did it quite well, I'll talk a little less in this critique. You have definitely improved on the 3D effect, I must say, and you are getting there. You've also improved on perspective, and that's really good to see.

Her expression, is very kawaii, actually. I love it. She looks cut and flirty, with her little camera and all. However, there are a few things that you must fix there as well. The shape of her head is good, and I'm so glad to see that you put in the little bump to indicate the cheeks [many forget to put that in, unfortunately, so a huge slap of the back for you on that] the placement of the eyes are also good, but your nostrils are too far down, as well as her lips, as a result, she doesn't really have a chin. Also, the point where the jaw meets the neck [Coco covered this as well D8], just at the curve of the mandible . . . I mean the jaw bone under the ears. O.o' Uhh . . . dang, I forgot my point . . . xO . . . OH! Right, I'd meant to say that if you'd added a slight curve at the end of it, going up to the ear, it'd made a better 3D effect, as well as made her look a little less fat. Ay, she looks like she's got a double chin. :sweatdrop:

Another thing I must give you props on is the ear. THANK YOU for keeping them according to proportion!! ;) They start at the same level as your eyebrows, and well . . . they were supposed to have ended where your lips arr, but your lips are too low in the first place. If you've kept the right measurements, it would've been perfect-o!

Now her, hair . . . well it needs more volume. It looks so nappy! T_T It looks very gelled down or oiled up or something. It's basically missing some flow, nothing more. Also It's a very cute hairstyle, and it goes with the dress really well. To fix the hair issue I'd say that throw in some air effect, let some more strands loose and let the wind flow through it. Give it more volume . . . make it look like how your hair looks when you shampoo it without conditioner and don't brush it. xDD Yes, an afro, but style it! LULZ.

Has Coco covered the shoulders? O.o Well, in either case, they should've come easily if the neck was okey, and I know she covered that. And agreeing with Coco, curves are HOTTT. You should be drawing them more often [with the correct proportions of course . . . I got issues with the breasts myself. :crybaby:] Work on the waists and the petite hourglass shape of the woman's body, because that's what ultimately make a woman sexy. ^_^-

Okey . . . overall, you are doing great hun, and I'm proud of you for not using your finger to smear your shading. 8D Though remember to make your shading smoother with the pencil. If you're having problems with drawing the woman figure, then I suggest that you do some modeling for yourself in front of the mirror. xD *wink* *wink* Trust me . . . it really does help nonetheless.
