I remember when I got my wisdom teeth taken out. I got high off pain killers while watching the Walking Dead. Well... more like sleeping through it.
The thing about that is I do not want to feel or remember anything. I want to wake up and my teeth will be gone. Surgery is not a thing I want in my memory. Screw that noise. I imagine I'll do the same thing when I have kids.
They knocked me out. Took a minute for the stuff to kick in though. I remember trying to stay awake as long as possible and then just waking up. Th pain afterwards was a nightmare though. Not only did my gums bleed more than the average person, with me having to replace the gauze every 20-30 minutes instead of every hour, I wasn't given any pain medication for it. We asked why, and they just said to use Ibuprofen, which did nothing to help. Then there was not being able to eat anything for 48 hours, and I do mean a full 48 hours, with me surviving only on water. Not the worst experience in my life, but I wouldn't say it was the best.
If you last longer than five on the countdown I'll be impressed. I was like b*tch I got this. Ten, nine, eight oh sh*t why am I sitting in this chair in this strange place.
My face swelled up like a chipmunk. It was not fun. I also swallowed one of my stitches lol. The doctor was like "have you ever been high before?" as he was about to put needles in me to sleep I said "Nope", he replies "well this is going to be a WHOLE new experience for you" laughs and injects it. I just had really crazy light show dreams that went along with the music from the radio. Hopefully you don't swell too much!
My face is a bit swelled, but it's not too bad. I've been keeping ice on it and taking a lot of meds. Now that the crap they gave me is wearing off and I can actually eat, I feel a lot better. Speaking of drugs, I can now say I've taken steroids. They taste like crap.
lol i was knocked out too, just i think the doctor was slightly crazy. haha. Only liquids right? or are you able to eat some solid foods? I think the pain meds I was given was oxycodon. Man, that stuff worked wonders. but addictive >>
It was only liquids yesterday, but today I managed some noodles and eggs. My mom bought some of those Ensure milkshakes and holy crap they're good. My pain meds are hydrocodon. They're sparkly.
