Getting Away With Murder

Allison looked at his face, switching from left to right eye, and her mouth puckered. "Your lying," She whispered, backing away some, looking him over.

 

damn, "Well I guess i'll make my leave, now" he said as his body burst into black flames that began to expand off of him and across the roof.

 

Norah ported to Advent and grabbed his arm, then ported to Allison and grabbed hold of her as well. In the blink of an eye, they were on the neighboring rooftop.

Kazuki escaped and had fled the building by burning through the floors. His phone rang and he answered, "They where better than expected, boss".

 

Allison let go of Norah, and was Hyperventalting. "I said not to do that!" She said, grabbing her torso. The sudden movment makes her sick to her stomach.

 

"Sorry. But I couldn't just leave you guys there," she said, pointing to the black flames of the burning roof.

 

"You wanna go back?!" she offered him. "Do both of you want to go back? He's gonna bring the building down!"

 

Allison sat down, her knees to her face, and her face down. She was trying to breath clearly, and her mind was going black, and she didn't want that to happen. Her eyes suddenly turned from their lovely green, to dark blue.

 

Norah turned to Allison as she sat down. She knelt down beside her. "Wow, are you okay? You're not looking so great..."

 

Allison shook her head, and dug into her side pocket. She took out a small vile, and opened it greedily. She took a swig, and it was gone. Her eyes turned back to green, and her breathing was normal. She stood back up, and breathed deep.

 

Norah just stared at the sudden recovery. She eyed the bottle suspiciously. "What.... was that?" That wasn't natural.

 

Allison looked at Norah. "Potion. I get... Unstable when certain things happen. And your power, for example, got me to a breaking point." She said, closing her eyes some.

 

"Before we worry about that, we need to find out where the senator is," Norah said, looking around at the city below. Hang on... "Didn't you find the assassins?"

Allison shrugged. "I'm not sure. My grandfather says that I'll become the last plague the world will ever see." She looked around, looking at the road below, that was pouring out with people from the shot of guns.
