So, just because they were completely obsessed with the game, it automatically is the game's fault that they killed someone? This is even more stupid then my last thread like this.

 

That happened ages ago (if that is the same incident). I used that incident in an eassy i wrote for school.

It's true, games are just something for people to blame when they don't want the blame put on themselves.

 

what KM says is pretty much what i would say. because people dont want to believe that these people are really criminals, they blame it on a game.

 

...that is just stupid. It is obvious enough that they are just using FF 7 as an excuse to say that it influence them. Heck, I won't be surprised if a gaming incident is related to Kingdom Hearts that involves death and keys.

 

*facepalms* Oh, for Christ sake. That's just freaking incomprehensible.

 

I can understand Seph being a role model for murderers but RENO?! Reno's not even what you call a "villain"! Sure he fights Cloud a couple of times but still... It's like FF7 is Germany's Grand Theft Auto or somethin.

but Reno? Maybe if it was a hit and run I'd understand.

 

Eh, Reno was part of the Turks, they did kill a lot of people. Even if you don't see it. Well actually you do. He planted that bomb that destoryed that pillar, casuing thousands of people to die.

Geez, what bloody losers blaming FF7 for this. That game does not have that much violence in it. Conker's Bad Fur Day for the N64 had way more than this game >_>

So what if they had little nicknames of a game they had? My friend calls himself sephy (for those of you who are stupid sephy=sephiroth)....that doesn't mean anything.

I really do hope the next person to go murder someone calls themselves Kitty and has 'Hello Kitties Island Adventure' installed on their compy. This is just getting ridiculous to the point that it's getting annoying.

 

FFVII a killer game, give a break. I'm sick and tired of games being labeled as a bad influnce especially games that aren't even that violent. What are they gonna lable Mario a killer game just because a criminal calls himself Mario and happned to play the game.

 

Yes, yes they would if it happens. There are people who take little things and use them against videogames because they hate them so much.

 

Jack Thompson would be having a party with this, if he wasn't in a truckload of trouble already.

 

OK, I'm like going to force those cops to play FF VII! OMG! It's not a violent game!! IT DOSEN'T EVEN SHOW BLOOD!!!!!!!! Omg! So if some random dude goes around killing people saying he's like umm Sailor Moon.(which was sooo awsome when I was little haven't seen it since it just came to my head) Dose that make the animie bad?? Some people just have weird twisted minds! WHO CARES WHAT VIDEO GAMES THEY LIKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Those are just a bunch of individual obsessed psychos. I have quite a few friends who have played FF VII and are perfectly sane people.

But some people will use any excuse to ban video games. It was like the Manhunt incident when that teenage boy murdered his friend (I think that ever since, you have to give proof of your age when you're in GAME), despite the fact that the game is an 18 rated game and therefore the boy shouldn't have been playing it unless his parents knew him well enough to trust him.

But if the article was ages ago, then hopefully FF VII has been left alone.

 

What? I can't even play FF7?! FF7 isn't killer, this is killer :guns::guns2::guns3:

 

Let's hope they don't ban video games now.

 

I think it's all too easy for people to blame the games, purely because they have nothing to go on. The point is, the people who go out and kill are going to do it whether they have played a particular game or not.
