There was a massive article on Anonymous in the newspaper. The quotes are hilarious. "They're down; Keep firing!"
Oh, of course, how silly of me. The people's rights always mean that their opinion is without fault, right? We can totally be trusted with national secrets; I mean, it's not like there's a reason that they exist or anything. I'm so silly.
WE MUST DEFEND WIKILEAKS BECAUSE IT HAS THE WORD WIKI IN IT! Is the logic of most people, but they won't admit it. I myself don't give a toss.
It's a fine line between releasing classified information to the public, and giving governments permission to hide whatever they like. Some of the stuff on there really shouldn't have been hidden, such as footage of US choppers gunning down a group of people, including two reporters. I imagine the mindset of the Anonymous goes something along the lines of "For the lulz".
