As strong as Giratina is, Arceus has the highest base stats of all the legendaries. Imagine how awesome he must be in battle.

 

I used cheats to get an Arceus at the mining museum. Then I used cheats to level it up to 100. It's pretty good, especially with Judgement, even though it only does 100 damage.

 

I'm escorting some girl through the cave off of victory road. Her arcanine keeps using helping hand and doesn't attack.

Anyways I got through it just fine. I expected more though. I wish I new I'd have no reason to go through there without some special event item, or else I wouldn't have bothered.

 

Well, now she will be waiting in the battle tower lobby if you choose to do a Multi battle, or whatever it's called when it's two trainers.

 

You mean Mira in the Wayward cave? I thought I'd get something better out of that too xD. And yeah, her Arcanine really sucks lol.

 

Inorite? five minutes in I was like "Okay B*tch, you really want to give me a hand? CALL AN ACTUAL ATTACK!! STOP CLAPPING!!"

 

I wonder how Palkia and Dialgia tie in with the new Giratina in Platinum. I noticed them in the back of this screencap but they could just be statues. Would be awesome if they had an extended role rather than an abrupt appearance followed by a capture.

 

Giratina is supposed to be the third in the triad. I think part of the legend got left out in D & P, and Arcreaus actually created three God Pokemon, one each to rule over Space, Time, and Darkness.

 

I bet they'll add a new etching in Celestic Town in Platinum for Giratina. Even if he isnt an Arceus-created being, he's connected somehow.

 

Arcreaus is the Creator Pokemon. He is supposed to be the one that created everything. (Well, Dialga, Palkia, possibly Giratina, and the three lake legendaries at least. That is one Pokemon who knows how to delegate!)

And I'd be willing to be a fiver and a yoohoo that the statue in Eterna City'll be replaced with one of Giratina.

lol, and I definately plan on transfering Giratina from Diamond to Platinum. I'll have myself a twofer!

 

Yeah, they'll totally have a Giratina statue lol. I wonder if it'll be its regular or origin form though.

And Arceus himself was created from an egg in a vortex of chaos, so Giratina may have had a similar weird birth. He could even be the polar opposite of Arceus by trying to get rid of pokemon. I just hope more info comes out soon so there isnt such a broad range of stuff to speculate lol.

 

random bit here, can one of you pokemon masters(lol) teach me what EV's, IV's and such are? I tried reading some faqs on gamefaqs but it was just way to technical, and I didnt understand it....

I believe EV is stat bonuses based on battle experience, I.E. battleing an oponent with a superior stat to yours. If you want a pokemon to have a higher attack, have it battle a pokemon with a high attack stat.

If they are gonna do a Arcreaus poler opposite, I'd think they'd wait until the next gen. For now, I'm gonna stick to the triad idea.

 

Yeah, the vortex thing surprised me too when I first saw it lol. Its kinda like the whole "Who created God if he created us?" thing.

And EV's are Effort Value points. Each time you defeat a certain pokemon in battle, your pokemon gets an EV point in a certain stat. And for every 4 EV points in a stat, you gain an extra +1 in that stat when you level up. I.E: You beat 4 Staravia's. You gain +4 EV points on Strength and level up. So now instead of +5 strength, you get +6.

Nah, dont worry xD. Real world cant be explained easily so I dont care much for it. But where this 'magical vortex of chaos' came from does interest me more. I hope the next set of pokemon games has a story like this where they have all these legends and pokemon that link up and make an epic history~
