I agree with you there.Israel is full of innocent people who are dying because of a war that started with religion.
People are in the shopping centre(mall) in the city and they are protesting and it isn't working. It's just scaring people. My friend texted me she was frightened of them because they starred at her as she passed and they protest was very angry. She told me they look like the taliban and she got out of there.

the least you could say is the modern day provisional IRA because it isn't all IRA who are terrorist's just the unofficial provisionals. They were the guys who are terrorists and they are drug dealers and thugs since about the 1980's/90's.They didn't use graveyards because they have some respect for the dead. The IRA members aren't/weren't monsters they just had a feeling of unjustification. They were people like anyone else. They would drag up dead people and hid weapons in there graves.

what you said was just short sighted and possibly racist, and isn't a perspective.

    Agreed. That sounds like...

    1) You are anti-Semitic.

    2) You disagree with the State of Israel's right to exist. Which is absurd.

I believe what Serbkiller was trying to say is that Israels actions are no better than those of a terrorist organisation. He made no comment as to the Jewish nature of Israel or the right of Israel to exist as a country.

    Gaza conflict: Who to blame?

Well the blame goes all around:

I blame you, the public, for giving Hamas the attention to encourage it to continue.
I blame you, America, for funding the IDF so that it's a virtually indestructible force in the middle east.
I blame you, the Muslim world, for standing by and twiddling your thumbs so that Israel can do this without consequence.
I blame you, UN, for being useless and thinking that your sanctions and declarations have any effect at all.
I blame you, western Europe, for doing nothing but formally disagreeing and otherwise giving Israel the carte blanche.
I blame you, Egypt, for just sitting there and not stepping in despite being the best one to have any immediate effect on the situation.
I blame you, West Bank, for not helping you fellow Palestinians and letting them rot.
I blame you, Russia, for not helping the Palestinians have a fighting chance, you have spare weapons and you know it.
I blame you, eastern Europe, for not caring at all.
I blame you, China and India, (see both of the above).
I blame you, Nazis, for being the root of the whole problem in the first place as well as a myriad of others.
I blame you, Israel, for bombing the hell out of civilians unnecessarily, I thought you guys knew how to keep an operation professional.
I blame you, Hamas, for launching rockets at Israel even after you knew that it would lead to this.

    Most of all...
I blame all of you, anyone with a partisan view, because your pointless bickering is only compounding the issue and you are the cause of all the problems in the world.

    Hamas. Because...um...well, I just do.

In any case, they shouldn't be spewing rockets around in the first place. :/

I have to agree with most of your statements, however as we are two different people my views are a bit different.
I agree that Israel could solve this in a more mature and less violent manner, but hell, they've got so many problems on their hands right now it's ridiculous. :/
Hamas, by what I've heard, launched rockets at Israel so that Israel would be forced to retaliate. I don't see exactly what else they were supposed to do.

To answer the topic question, though, I mostly blame Hamas.

I blame Hamas, they knew that the conflict would lead to this. They knew they had no hope of actually achieving anything but retaliation by Israel. I would say that maybe Israel is being a bit heavy handed, but if they want to stop Hamas firing rockets into Israel then there is no other way. Hamas are driven by religion and there's no way to stop religious fanatics other than force and/or imprisonment.

    Also:
The public did nothing; it was the media that gave Hamas attention. The media being a powerful entity over which the public has little control.
If it wasn't for the USA Israel would not exist. Of course they would fund their military so that they can protect themselves from virtually all of their neighbours.
I blame the Muslim world for the complete opposite reason; allowing Hamas to carry out the rocket attacks that caused this whole conflict in the first place.
I also blame the UN for being useless. You'd think that they would have learned from the mistake of the League of Nations. They even have an army now (well, "peacekeepers), which means they should be able to have some clout behind their words. But any time their forces are deployed they are so heavily restricted that they are unable to do anything. All bark no bite I say.
The previous peace agreement was drawn up between France and Egypt. Also, the UK has no military forces left to make a difference (as they are already deployed all over the world) and most countries generally have too much else on their hands right now than worry about yet another conflict in the Middle East.
As for Russia, arming one side of the conflict will just make the conflict last even longer, with even more casualties. It may even cause the conflict to spread.
The problem that Western Europe has applies also to Eastern Europe, China and India. Too much else on their hands with the current economic crisis as well as gas supplies being cut off to Europe from Russia, the recent terrorist attacks in Mumbai and various things within Chinas borders (including, but not limited to, the baby milk incident).
I would like to hear your thoughts on how the Nazis are related to the current crises. Is it their anti-Semitism?
If Hamas hide in civilian areas then civilian areas are going to be bombed. Simple as that.
I blame Hamas almost completely for the current crisis. They fired rockets into Israel knowing full well that there would be retaliation. They may even have counted on this level of retaliation so as to get a sympathy vote from the international community.

Just wanted to clear something up on the Nazis: Israel exists primarily because of the Holocaust. After WWII, the world realized that Jews needed their own country. So they gave them one.

Anyway, I blame Hamas. Israel has every right, in my opinion, to bomb the **** out of Gaza if that's what it takes to get rid of terrorist groups like Hamas.

I dunno who to blame. But I don't get one thing:
Aren't those people from Israël strongly jewish people?
Why are they being so aggressive like that?

(btw, please don't get offended, this is a serious question)

I agree, Israel could of ended this, but the many problems they have are stopping them. The Hama's knew what was going to happen if they did it, so it's their fault.

I agree with you there even though i haven't seen hindu's picks fights and such but i don't really know about hindu news anyway so i can't really talk.

Serbkiller a thread about the gaza strip crisis is already made so this thread shouldn't have even been made along-side the fact that this belongs in the debate corner.

Israel has Jews of all sorts, from many different backrounds and sects. We have never been "agressive" as is defined by the war at the moment. This is the first time we are directly attacking mosques, etc. Not because it is to hurt the people, the IDF sends as many warnings as possible, but it is because Israel's Intelligence shows that there are weapons hidden in mosques. Israel has always been respectful, but it's gotten to the point that Israel can no longer stand being provoked. We have to do something. Also, Israel is still a country. We have to defend ourselves, which means we need an army and weapons. Every war Israel has been a part of has been started by the surrounding Islamic nations. We have never attacked a nation to start a war, but only in self-defense.

I've merged the two threads on the Gaza Strip together since they are the same topic.

I will say it is both sides that are responsible for the conflict. This has been going on for years and Israel's hands are no less bloody than Hamas'. They both have their reasons to fight and be angry with one another and both sides have done horrible atrocities to the other side, in my opinion. Israel tries to claim land it has no right to. The Palestinians try to claim more land than they should. The Israelis have gone and destroyed the homes of people and many live with tanks and superior power versus people with -rocks- while Palestinians have suicide bombed Israeli civilians.

If Israel and the Palestinians ever want peace and for people to stop dying, it is not just the Hamas who need targeted, but also the Israeli government. Sharon and Netanyahu are not -peaceful- men by any means and have done greedy exploitation and caused a lot of harm in the whole conflict. Hamas is wrong but does fund a lot of things in Palestine and will be able to because the Palestinians can't fund things otherwise such as schools and hospitals. Israel makes the problem worse doing these things they do. Israel won't know peace, nor will the Palestinians so long as Israelis keep choosing leaders that are war mongers. Even groups of Israelis see this and protest.

The atrocities are on both sides and someday I hope the rest of the world will see it more clearly and stop siding with one or the other. The UN should have stepped in long ago and said whether the two like it or not, what land is clearly defined as whose land. We all look pretty stupid when Arabs are funding the Palestinians and Americans and Europe are funding Israel. If they want to duke it out, they don't deserve aid of any kind but for the civilians that suffer because the leadership of both territories suck. It's not anti-Semitic to say that Israel is just as wrong as the Palestinians in this whole mess but people are afraid to. If you are in error and causing mass bloodshed, you should be called out whether anyone else likes it or not. The Middle East in the first place has always been a spot of wars and if that's the change in Israel and the Gaza Strip, both sides have to be recognized as people that can't stop fighting one another for territory and because of religious differences. Great wrongs have been done to both sides long before Israel was even given to the people. I do hope someday something will be done to make things more bearable there and that people will get their facts straight and stop siding with either side because of their stances on what has gone on to either side and religious views.

Godammit. Say goodbye to the eastern side of the Mediterranean.
