    Seriously.
    From the new TGS trailer:

The World That Never Was, in the castle.
    Saix orders something to Axel.
Saix: "Your worthless friendship or the extinction of Roxas. Which is more important to you?" :yelling:
    Axel looks ticked off.:nerve:

Even Xaldin could be nicer. I wonder what makes Saix and Axel hate each other so much. I think Nomura said that the 358/2 Days story would go deeper into the Organization members' personalities.
    Any creative ideas? 8D
I say it's their contrasting hair colors. (so not being serious XD)

Nope. When his Heartless was created, his body turned into a Nobody so it's impossible for Saix to come back. Regardless, Saix was second in command, therefor, it was his job to be Xemnas's servant in a sense. So, he has to dispose of all traitors (Axel).

It seems as though everyone high in the chain of command doesn't like Axel all that much. (That doesn't sound right. Lol. Sorry for the grammar >.>)

Axel was kinda drifty to me. He wasn't entirely loyal to Organization 13 (Just look at his activities in KH2! :O), so I doubt that Saix, who was very close to Xemnas, would like Axel all that much.

    Does that make sense? XD

    XD Agreed! Though him being jealous of Axel is a possibility... just not perhaps for that reason. O_O;
I felt bad when he went "poof," too. It was one of the sadder deaths... at least compared to Demyx. XP

Saix wanted to get rid of Axel because he betrayed the organization.

Their personalities are so different, it's hard for them not to clash, Axel being the somewhat rebellious charmer, Saïx being a devout follower for the Organization and it's goals. There was really nothing Saïx wanted more than to get his heart back, and I'm guessing that by that point, Roxas had become a threat to the rest of the Organization. Pushing people to extreme anger is also one of Saïx's methods, he repeatedly aggravated Sora in KH2. Also, there's probably some sort of a competition between Saïx and Axel, with them being the first two of the neophytes in the Organization.

Trust was also a big key for their behavior. Axel may be the only one who actually knew what happened in Castle Oblivion, which makes him somewhat unreliable in Xemnas', and thus Saïx's eyes.

Yeah, while I don't like Saix very much, I don't really like Axel either. He was a complete Organization traitor!!!!!! I reckon Saix could see that, and would know how worthless an ally Axel really was. He set Vexen up to die, had Zexion killed for no gwd reason and tried to bring Roxas bak to the Organization!
Axel's one responsible for the ridiculous death toll of Organization XII, so Saix had no reason to offer kindness to Axel. Axel didn't deserve it.

Saix was not nice to anyone. He was basically Xemnas's second because his mind was one-tracked and down with the plan, and he was quite intelligent and committed. He wanted his Heart back and nothing else at all mattered to him. Also, it is very clear that Saix definitely had a sadistic streak, especially to at least be the mental bully. He's simply not a nice guy, is selfish and enjoys hurting others whether he has emotions or not. Their reactions make his day, for at least a few minutes again.

Reading the novels also makes him seem to be even colder, but in the end at least he probably was not 'fake'. He took his status as a Nobody very seriously and wanted out of it. Also, in the novels it was said that Axel was told to investigate people at the Castle Oblivion, I believe, for traitors. Saix, I think, knew ahead of time something might happen but probably did not assume all of the Org members there were going to have to die. In either regards, he didn't likely give a crap about the destroyed Nobodies but wanted to push Axel's buttons because he did for some odd reason actually seem to care about Roxas. Axel, being a Nobody and caring, was unique and he may have even been studying Axel with his taunts to see his reactions and all because Axel was acting odd and the events at Castle Oblivion were peculiar.

Thank you for mentioning the novels. All the translations I have found have not mentioned Saix or the organization members very much. I am so fond of KH's characters, though I dislike how little the actual games develop them. I am currently trying to learn Japanese right now. I have the novels, and I can sound out most of the words, but I have no idea what they mean. :(

I think Saix is only saying what he has to. It's true that the Organization must get rid of betrayers and from the info currently out it seems Roxas is a betrayer

Maybe Saix is envious of Roxas and Axel's friendship...

I wonder what Saix would be like with a heart......

Saix is the way he is and since Axel is his underling and he is the superior of him he treats him like that. Also Saix knows that Axel is different in more ways than one compared to himself. Axel seems to react with feelings or emotions and takes it upon himself to look out for Roxas. Saix's sees that as a flaw and that kind of judgement goes against of what Organization XIII is about.

  20. I disagree with the sadism.

Mostly because, Saïx does not appear like a Larxene to me, to be sadistic just to have enjoyment come out of it, mentally or not (considering he's cold, and barely lets his emotions, or lack there of, get in the way, he's not going to feel happy all of a sudden. He does not believe in feelings as a Nobody, which is established, considering how he finds the notion ridiculous, and doing so with "enjoyment" would negate that very core). He does and acts on things he thinks would benefit the goal and would progress the process faster, whether or not is immoral. Even in the novels, that goes into the thoughts of the characters, he just seems casual, robotic, and does not seem to have a agenda. If Larxene was written, I'm positive we would have read her happy and sarcastic thoughts on how joyful she feels or gets when she kicks or hurt certain beings. With Saïx, is nonexistent.

His job is to get rid of Axel, he would do so. No emotions to hold him back, and thus, it is simpler to follow. He slaps Naminé, because she was in the way, and he did not want to deal with her. Yet, he never felt anything, not pleasure, or elation, to that, and just went on as if he was picking a weed, and took the next step of what had he had gotten his sights on.

Is the same way he had a reason to kidnap Kairi, which we only figured out in KH2: FM+ a few year later more thoroughly. It was to fuel his anger, confuse, and make Sora vulnerable so they can gain more of a control on him.

If he's emotionless, and won't go the path of Axel, or even, Larxene, then that doesn't mean he's automatically sadistic. He just has nothing to hold him back from doing what he thinks is best and to move along with obstacles/pests, despite if it means harming others. Present to me something where he shows joy on inflicting pain, and then you may have a certain aspect. Otherwise, I don't see it.
