In your opinion would these Game Based Movies be any good: World of Warcraft Prince of Persia: Sands of Time Bioshock Dead Space Mass Effect There are more out there, but these are just the few that sparked me. Give your opinion, and I will add to the list at a later time. Thanks to lavonia for these titles as well: God of War Shadow of the Colossus And reminded me of another one, Gears of War
Bioshock's the only one I'd consider watching, I think. I say make Shin Megami Tensei: Digital Devil Saga (and its sequel) into a movie. Awesome story...mostly. Oh, and Xenosaga, even though I kinda already is... I don't think I've seen such long cutscenes in the history of gaming.
Mass Effect sounds like it could happen. As well as Prince of Persia. But World of Warcraft? lol. I also think Metal Gear Solid could defiantly be a movie.
God of War, well that is being made into a movie... lol Shadow of the Colossus, also being made into a movie xD any of the Castlevania EDIT: never mind that, castlevania is also being filmed
I suppose I can see how they could make WoW into a movie. I mean, even though everyone has a different story, there is a main plotline, and characters will probably just be made up for it.
i think Bioshock would be pretty interesting. So long as they don't completely change it all up like most movies end up.
Well, given the pervious games made movies, I'd say no. But since I've read what Game Imformer said, they might turn out good if they are made by decent directors and good actors/actresses. I just hope that they are actually taken seriously like the article said they'd be.
World of Warcraft = 1857612896428649% no. It would be like that D&D movie just with pop culture references every 5 seconds. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time = Possibly, the game already is basically a story so as long as the film stays true to the game then it may well work. Bioshock = No. Dead Space = No. Mass Effect = No. Just keep Uwe Boll away from these jobs and they'll have a chance even if I think they won't.
Oh a Metal Gear movie would be amazing. Or Assassin's Creed too. Yeah and Gears of War too is being made. I never heard of the SoC movie. Well there are some main WoW characters. So they'll probably be something about the major Horde and Alliance.

I think prince of persia and Boishock would work but maybe not the others. Well maybe the others with a bit of work. But I do now there is a Tekken movie I've seen it, when I was little *spoiler* the sumo (Gangu or what ever his name is) gets shot in the stomic with Nina's cannon!
I'd love to see a Golden Sun Movie and then they destroy it. Then lets see how long they live before the fans kill them.

Prince of Persia and Shadow of the Colossus. Prince of Persia: SoT is one of the best games ever...it'd be pretty hard to screw it up...I think. <-< I'd so watch Shadow of the Colossus but I'm afraid it'll be stupid if there's a movie adaption...but then again, the story could end up being a little better. 8D
Too be honest, most of them will probably end up on par with something like Alone in the Dark or BloodRayne. A.k.a. shit. I do not expect good thing from Tekken or K.O.F considering what I saw in the DOA movie. Plus I saw a pardoy of what a Pac Man movie would be a few years ago and nothing could be lamer than that. And I really think most of these will be shit, mostly the games based on FPS or Beat 'Em Up games.
lol, i know i dont know any great video game based movies, probably the best i can think of is Tomb Raider :/
An old survival horror game series. It could work well as a movie, since I've always seen it as a horror scenario turned game anyway. The multiple endings idea was cool though.
