Hey everyone, the Sony conference came and went and while PlayStation 4 news is exciting (talk about it with us in our Gaming section!), there was no Kingdom Hearts shown at the event. We still have some news, though! In GameTrailers's pre-show they announced they would be doing one of their Timeline series, this time with Kingdom Hearts!

For those unfamiliar with GT, they did a Legend of Zelda series where they tried to connect the dots between the games. The following trailer reveals that Spring 2013 will treat us to a Kingdom Hearts Timeline!

What do you guys think--do you like GT's timelines? Can they possibly make the KH plot coherent? Leave a comment and let us know!

Bam, already done in a minute! Try beating that GT!

It's not a chronology as much as a review of all the games in the series, in order to explain the major plot.

Eh, I feel like this is a little unnecessary, and I would like to think that people who are interested would do the research to find out for themselves rather than being lazy and watching a video, but I'm sure the only reason I think that is because I'm so familiar with the material, and I can certainly see how it would be confusing for people who aren't as familiar with the series.

That was a terrible 3D Model of the Kingdom Key...too thin and they botched the end with that too wide, too spaced end.

      NOPE.

I agree actually, I at first only saw a screen of this when I wasn't watching the stream and got really excited but, upon closer examination, the model just looked terrible. Knew it couldn't be real.

But Days starts during KH1, and before CoM, so... curve ball. WoOoOo
And you're forgetting the timeline where Sora gets defeated

Eh I think it looked fine. GT isn't known for amazing 3D rendering, at least for me, I know then for their reviews and retrospectives.

Excited, I liked the Zelda timeline but than I remembered Geoff Keighley:

Just imagine that, Kingdom Hearts III comes out, Geoff's back with a bunch of Moutain Dew and Doritos with Kingdom Hearts III stamped on it, reminding you that if you buy their stuff you get cool stuff like clothes for Sora, Keyblades and extra missions!

Anyway besides that I'm interested to see what they pull off with this, though you guys are right that Keyblade looks like baby's first project in Motion.

I'm a little torn, on one hand I don't think a timeline is that big of a deal, but on the other hand I still will probably watch it, although most likely just because I love KH and enjoy watching KH stuff.

I guess I feel like this is just another "here take and enjoy this" kind of project that's meant to distract us for a little bit while we wait anxiously for KH 1.5 and KH III, which I'm disappointed that neither of them were brought up during the announcement.

I think this will be really good - even though perhaps the keyblade looks a little thin, I think they've done a pretty beautiful job on the design of the keyblade on the beach, and I can't wait to see what else they will do! Besides, along with the music they'll put to it, I'm sure it'll bring back a lot of nostalgia for us all :)

Looks pretty good! I can't wait to watch.

I'm also interested in this project.. I'll definitely watch it when it comes out.

What on Earth? GT made me feels? With the music, the quotes, the KH moon, the keyblade and above all the panning out to reveal the beach? Oh wow.

I find it funny that people are complaining about the keyblade model. So it's not perfect, but it was nice to have it there at all. It's not like it was unrecognisable.

On a similar note, I don't get why people are complaining about the timeline itself. It'll be interesting to see how they do. If you don't think it's necessary then don't watch it. For those who are interested, they can enjoy it.

Feel like I'm being awfully negative, but that video put me in a good mood. I'll keep my eye on this.

I'm not surprised that Kingdom Hearts is the next game to appear in Timeline. They hinted at it when they first announced the Zelda Timeline videos on their podcast. Also the guy behind the series is a fan of Kingdom Hearts.

There is a surprising amount of negativity here towards this video. This can only be a good thing, it brings attention to a series that has fallen out of the public's interest.

Fixed, sorry about that, GameTrailers has an official one up now.
