I actually like gamestop in most cases.

The return policy for the Gamestops in my area is a thirty day return policy and they check the games. So far, I've bought a bunch of things used from them and had absolutely no problem with it. Compared to EB that not only have their games work from time to time and refuse to accept checks.

The only Gamestop I had problems with was one, and I haven't gone there since. If you want to haul yourself to Ebay and probably spend money for the game and probably the rest of the value on shipping and handling to get it, go ahead, but it'll take longer to get it.

EDIT: As for reselling used games, they usually do try to rip me off when I sell them back, that's why someone comes along to make sure I get a good deal or just get rid of the game.

I agree with these two posts 100%.

Yeah, the games may be cheaper at places like Walmart or wherever else you shop, but I prefer going to Gamestop. Their used games are relatively cheap -- I bought Soulcaliber II there for $17, when the new one was going for, like, $25. Yeah, I probably could have gotten it off of eBay for a much cheaper price, but then I would have to pay shipping and wait for it to come, not to mention that if it doesn't work when you buy it from eBay, you're screwed. I bought Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II at Gamestop for $15, went home, opened it, played it, and got stuck leaving the Administrative area on Peragus II (that's VERY early in the game). It would happen everytime I played. The next day I went back to Gamestop, explained the problem, and they gave me a new game for free without even having to see the recipt. The workers there were incredibly nice -- they talked about how the first game in the KotOR series was amazing, and how the second one was still a solid play even if the ending was bad with me. These people actually care about the buyer, and know about games.

So I like Gamestop a lot, lol.

Also agree with them knowing their stuff, you can ask most of the time what's wrong with your gaming console and get a straight answer. I do get a second opinion when needed at another one if I think it's not correct what they say, but most of the time, they're right on the ball.

Also, they are always recommending games that are coming out to customers, I listen in or ask what games are good or they comment on the game that I'm getting, it makes me feel more at home.
