I don't know about you guys...

But I found those Super Mario Bros./World Games for the GBA as hard as h***!

They wasted so many hours of my life!

And to think everybody else I hear about that played them beat them...

True. The hardest world for me was Deep Jungle...

It took me forever to find out where to go and what to do...

Star Fox for the Super Nintendo.

I played that game like a bi*ch though, when I was a kid. I died on the last boss though, and there's no save points so that sucks, but when I played it again years later, I could barley get past the first boss.

Tyrian! (or Tyrian 2000, it's the same game)

It's a straightforward vertical scrooling spaceship shooter game, but it has quite a variety of difficulty levels. Some of which are only unlockable in special modes, etc. etc.
Most difficulties are rather easy, and very fun, but then comes the "Engage" mode, where you must complete the game on the hardest difficulty, and with slightly different game rules.

I could defeat, as a kid, the game on the "Hard" difficulty. However, the Engage challenge saw me getting annahilated... by the very first enemy in the very first level.
I grew up, got a lot better at the game, and as I got past the first level, I realised that the game wasn't hard ; it was damn near impossible.

Still beat it though [/brag], not without spening several hours retrying some specific levels.

The hardest levels, on this challenge, were like... beating Xigbar Data at level 1, no damage, or doing likewise for Terra without looping him.

    Let's see...

Pokemon gold: didn't manage to beat it till like 5 years after I got it.
FFVII: Didn't beat it till 10 years after I got it. Now I've done it in a month.
Megaman Legends 2: Again took forever. Now it's easy.
Sonic for Sega: Very tuff, now it's easy.

Rayman's always been tricky for me, it's just been luck if I got anywhere that far into the game XD
And the Harry Potter's are actually really difficult at times >< If not because of the actual gameplay but the maps, I've been lost in the Chamber of Secrets for so long it's not even funny anymore Dx

And don't even get me started on Tomb Raider. I've just completely given up on that now, I have no idea what I'm doing o_o

That game was the ****. It's too bad my dog chewed it up. But it totally didn't help facing the Elite Four when you have a guard checking to see if you have every badge.

I think that would be...whats that game again...can't remember it, but when I played it at first, I went right into the hardest with ease. Then I noticed I needed to stop doing that.

Tonic Trouble. I doubt anyone's heard of it. The game was for Nintendo 64 and it had scary mutant vegetables jumping around that you had to beat. Eventually I got bored and never finished it xD

Games that were hard for me and still hard for me are Super Mario Brothers, Resident Evil 3.
I used to play Forbidden Memories too, it wasn't that hard of a game for me. Though I don't remember ever beating it... I loved my deck, it had some of the most powerful cards in it.
