This is it folks, as the Year ends, I want to hear YOU'RE game of 2010! Be honest, and respect everyone's opinions (you can still argue though, just no "**** you!" or "you little cock sucker!" lets make this look like we are not in the 5th grade people).

    My picks :

    Heavy Rain
    Red Dead Redemption
    Fallout: New Vegas
    Dead Rising 2
    Halo Reach
    Mass Effect 2
    Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep
    Final Fantasy XIII

and the winner for me is *drum roll*:

    MASS EFFECT 2!
This is way to obvious, do not get me wrong I love RDR, I love BBS, I love new Vegas, it's just that when I think of GOTY, I think something SO memorable, BBS is hands down one of the best KH games I have ever played, but the thing is I finished the game in like 2 weeks AND got the secret ending! Yes I know ME2 is also pretty short (when you just run through the story loyalty missions included, with no side quests) but the thing is some decisions I made in ME2 I just remembered for weeks and upon weeks thinking, "did I make the right choice?" and with so many good DLC's that had even more decisions to make it just adds to the fun, and their might be even MORE DLC on the way for the game, if you need an example why this game is so awesome, look no further to it being ported to the PS3! I believe when we are older and someone mentions ME2 we will be saying "oh hell yes" each time. This game is so epic that I just NEED to know when pre-orders for ME3 will be out! The ME series has stayed in my heart and memories for a long time, if you had not played the first and second one, shame on you, this game is fantastic, I love it, I love it, I LOVE IT!. Ok so now that I have all that fanboyish acting out of the way, I would like to hear all you're GOTY.

I would have to say Birth by sleep, mostly because I can't think of a game I enjoyed that much since Kingdom hearts 2. I would also say Left 4 dead 2 (I think that came out this year) as I got very addicted to that and it's just so much fun to play. Overall I think the gaming industry has seen better years but some good stuff came out of 2010.

I still haven't completed BBS fully, which I plan to do soon.

Though I don't have a list, my pick is: Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker. I really enjoyed it because I've always loved the MGS series and this game was definitely the one I spent playing the most this year since it's been out. The flashbacks and comic style cutscenes were great looking and well presented, all in all I love the gameplay and the story, so that's my pick of 2010!!

    My top 3 is:

    Mass Effect 2
    Red Dead Redemption
    Assassins Creed: Brotherhood

Not sure which one I would prefer but I love all 3.

I haven't played many games that were released this year other than Birth by Sleep and Read Dead Redemption. << I'd add Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood to my list but I have yet to buy it. So I'll just leave it at those other two games although the only good DLC Read Dead Redemption has gotten was Undead Nightmare. The Red Dead Revolver skins suck since the original voice actors didn't return for those multiplayer skins. <<

Ahh okay, still a very good game. I think the only new game I've actually played is BBS, I've heard good things about Fable 3, so I might have to go get that.

Wait, you haven't played any other games of 2010 besides BBS? What? You should play some ME2 and RDR and see why everyone loves them! I do really recommend both of them, they are just excellent!

My brother is the one that buys the games I just play them. >.> My life became consumed by Red Dead Redemption of all the games he got, such as Halo: Reach, and Call of Duty: Black Ops. I would have to vote Red Dead Redemption as my favorite, as well as the add-on Nightmare Undead which was extremely fun.

Tough decision right there, all of them where great, but if I where you I would take off AC: Brotherhood, as great as it was, it just felt like a AC2 DLC, but that doesn't make it BAD, I just don't think it deserves a GOTY spot, this is why I did not choose New Vegas, same engine, some gameplay, just with a few tweeks and new story. But picking between ME2 and RDR was REALLY tough to decide, they where both fantastic! And they both have awesome DLC's (even though I think ME2 has more better DLC's, don't give me wrong I ****ing love Undead Nightmare)

Sly Trilogy. Wait, what do you mean that doesn't count? Fien. Fallout: New Vegas, you happy now?

Fallout: New Vegas was a fantastic game, it took what Fallout 3 had, pretty much the exact formula really, and improved on it. The companion system was highly improved. You couldn't just steal armor of one of the enclave's you kill, so you actually had be a lot more careful with your armor or even buy some. The missions seemed to be more important and it was awesome with the battle and getting to decide which fight you want to be on. It wasn't a perfect game though, the game freezes even more than Fallout 3 did, which is quite the achievement. At times it can get a bit too bad, especially during the final missions. For the most time it was easy managable though. And the ending, the freaking ending. I don't know which left me most unsatisfied/pissed me off more, the one in this or Fallout 3. Geez, is it that hard to make a good ending?

Runner up: Red Dead Redemption. Amazing game, but to me personally the campaign lacked something, like moral choices for one. Having a karma system but no moral choices is the worst idea ever.

Please, please, please change that "YOU'RE" to "YOUR". Usually I could ignore it, but capitalised and everything makes me a sad panda. .__.

Oh, and if Visual Novels count, (which, apparently on Gamefaqs, they do), I'm going to choose Umineko no Naku Koro ni Chiru: Requiem of the Golden Witch. Mostly because I haven't played many other games, the rest because it has a great story. (Although the gameplay is rather lacking, to put it lightly.)

I don't really have a game of the year. I mean, some good games came out this year, but in comparison to 2007 or 2008, there weren't that many. I haven't played Birth by Sleep because I don't have a PSP *shot*, and as good as I found Final Fantasy XIII, I would probably be waaaaaaaay mistaken by calling it the game in the year.

Bring on 2011, and I'll tell you Portal 2 or Re: Coded every single time ^_^.

Does RE:Coded count at a 2010 game or a 2011 one? It was initially released in 2010, but it's getting an English release in 2011. :/

I'd love to, I have a huge list of games I'm dying to play, I just don't have the time to go with it or the money. They both sound quite good so I'll have to add them to my list.

@Clawtooth, I completely agree, I cannot wait for Portal 2 and Re: Coded, those would be my two as well. Well, I don't know anything else that's coming out this year.

I'm confused as to how you can decide what your game of the year is before playing any. Doesn't picking it before playing them defeat the purpose of picking them?
