I just bought the game an hour ago, got home and started playing it. and i got an ERROR??!

When you begin play of the game and Marluxia begins teaching you how to use the cards you are shown three directions:

    Left Analog Stick: Move
    Right Analog Stick: Look Around
    R3: Face front

    Then...

    It gets stuck o.O

I cant move from this screen, I've tried reseting the game twice. Nothing.

Hmm, well then I do not know. I would try taking back to where you got it and see if someone working there will boot the game up and see if it works, they might let you trade it for another.

Let me guess, your using a PS3 arn't you? I've been on gamefaqs and it seems that everyone with and 80gb PS3 is having the same problem. So the good news is your not alone, the bad news is you can't just trade it in for another version to fix the problem.

Haha, its interesting that you say that, because I am in FACT using a PS3 80GB system and I just got back from trading it in xDDDD

OMG that was EXACTLY the problem.

    Works fine now xD

I brought out my old PS2 system and it fixed the error.

For future people who have this problem, what happens is this.

On the PS3 system when you start learning about your cards a Donald card falls from the sky. However, before you're able to click through what Marluxia says the card gathers into your card library by being drawn towards you.

On the PS2 system what happens is the Donald card that falls stays in the middle of the battlefield so that you are able to "collect" it. Which triggers the next screen.

Obviously if you don't collect the card on the PS3 theres no way to trigger the next cut scene.

I guess it's a good thing my PS3 broke and I had to take out my PS2. Now I won't have to worry about this problem when I play the game.

Anyone know if this problem will somehow get fixed? I inend to buy an 80GB PS3, and I don't want to hang on to my PS2 afterward, just because it takes up space.

it could possibly be fixed. there were glitches like that for other games like Metal Gear Solid. those glitches can be fixed with Firmware Updates to the PS3. but i don't know they still try and fix these things since they dropped the whole PS2 backwards compatibility.

oh and when you DO buy your 80GB PS3, make sure it can play PS2 games if that's a really big issue for you. the new ones can't but the old ones do, i believe the last 80 GB PS3 that can do this is the Metal Gear Solid 4 Bundle one.

Are you serious? Why the hell would they stop making PS3's that can play PS2 games? DX Alright, I'll keep that in mind, thanks!

because sony is already losing alot of money from the ps3 hardware.
adding ps2 support is equivalent to them also giving away a free ps2.

sony is actually quite generous, but they can't afford it

Man, that really sucks; I love Sony, and I would hate to see them go bankrupt.

Can I assume that all PlaySation 3's that come before the MSG4 bundle are PS2 compatible? Because I looked on Amazon (searched for "PS3 PS2 Compatible") and found this:

    http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-3..._1?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1228447654&sr=8-1

I don't think it says that it can play PS2 games anywhere, but it was released in August (before the MSG4 bundle). Am I safe with buying this one? Do you know any that will definitely have PS2 compatibility?

no you can't assume that all PS3s b4 that play PS2 games :( you might be better of getting a used 60 GB PS3 because ALL of them play PS2 games. for 80 GB versions, make sure it has 4 USB slots, those are the ones that play it. the MGS4 bundle ones DO play them. and the one in that link does NOT play them. i also believe the 20 GB system also plays PS2 games. try to find the older ones, and dont' be afraid to get a used system.

Agh! XD Alright, when the time comes, I'll get this one:

    http://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-M..._2?ie=UTF8&s=videogames&qid=1228449093&sr=1-2

It's $100 more than the other one, and I'm not a fan of MGS, but PS and PS2 compatibility is really important to me. Thanks, guys, and sorry for changing the subject, but you probably saved me a rather large annoyance! XD
