Fullmetal Alchemist: The Midnight Eclipse

"What Al said. I kept her talking long enough for you to come back." he said. He didn't mean that of course, he just wanted to cover up his mistake.

 

Xioimara raised an eyebrow at Edward. She knew she could corner him right now and dig his grave for him. Chances were though that all would be forgiven since Armstrong seemed to fond of the brothers. She rolled her eyes for what she felt was the hundreth time that day. Driving through ghosts..." She muttered and plopped back down in her seat. She glared at Edward and shook her head. They rode in silence for some time.

Armstrong sat back down next to Xioimara. He crossed his arms as they waited to arrive at Central. It would be some time before they got back and he wasn't about to believe that Xioimara wouldn't try anything.

The silence was broken by Xioimara's stomach. It growled rather loudly at her. "Shh." She whispered harshly back at it, as if it would listen.

Alphonse breathed a silent sigh of relief that his brother covered up Xioimara's attempted escape. He wasn't sure how long they had until they got back to Central. His thoughts started to drift off again towards better days. He felt his life was satisfying enough but it would always to be nice to have his body back, of course. As well as to have Edwards normal body back.

He looked at Xioimara as she hushed her stomach.

"When is the last time you ate?" Armstrong questioned the girl.
"I dunno..." Xioimara became fixated on twirling her bangs. She felt run down already and all she wanted to do was sleep. The idea was starting to catch her off guard. She was drifting into the realm of darkness whether or not she knew it. "I guess like... A week." Xioimara shook her head to stay awake. "Or two..." Her eyes shut and she started to nod off. "Three, maybe..." She was out in less than five minutes. Xioimara leaned up against Alexander for support as she fell asleep.

Armstrong ignored Xioimara leaning on him. He felt bad for her. The military always wanted to make sure she hadn't gone off and killed herself. As it was easy to see, Xioimara was pretty bad at taking care of herself. He was silently thankful that she was at least able to maintain hygene. "What have you boys discovered during your journey, May I ask?"

Appearance: Shaggy,short,Brunette hair past her shoulders slightly,usually in a ponytail;Black jeans with a chain wallet on the left side;hazel eyes;a black,hoody, big jacket;dark green tank.

Personality: Shy at first, but once she gets comfy around someone she'll be her; she's loud and tries to be cool by following whats currently 'In The Loop', which she likes to be in or tries to be in. She'll try to a cool comeback, but will fail. She's use to being a hermit, easily scared and very lazy; once she put her mind to something though, she has to go through with it. She does her best and tries to stay calm.

Biography: Since a young age Charlene loved books, her mother was a librarian and she had a strong sense of justice, her father was a cop. Charlie's parents were very eccentric and laid-back, always telling her to go for the stars. Her father,Maxwell, wanted a boy and because of this he prompted Charlene for sports and nicknamed her Charlie; her mother wanted a girl and always tried to keep Charlie girly by making her fashionable,wearing lipstick and trying to get her to style her hair(didn't work out to well). Charlie's father shot in legs while he was chasing a robber, and became handicapped, but he still worked for the police the best he could; Charlie hated the robber for this,they never found them so justice was never given. She decided to join the State Alchemist so she could serve justice and perhaps find the robber who handicapped her father; she was able to get the job with the help of her cousin,Olivia Mcmillian
Other: Charlie gets pumped when justice is involved, and tends to anxious and giddy when she's serving it.

Personality: Oliva is worker who goes with her mission, always doing with hardly any questions. She doesn't show much emotions, only toward people she is friends with. She's quite kind, and protects her comrades and makes sure the job is done and those who deserve credit get it; always making sure someone is doing something. She does many fears and tries to stay tough and calm though thick and thin.
Position: sergeant
Biography: Oliva was brought up by doctors, being taught to be safe and stay on track. She asked many questions as a kid, but everyone was usually to busy to answer them so she stopped asking all together unless it was urgent or needed. Olivia's Mother dies of cancer at a young age and her father had to take on an extra shift to keep everything in check. Wanting to find a cure she joined the State Alchemist for pay and perhaps lead on a cure. But also for the neat responsibility it came with and respect.

Edward glanced at Xioimara sleeping on Armstrong. Ok... he thought. He looked at Armstrong. "Well, we discovered reports of disappearances every year at the same time, on the same night." he dug around in his bag, and pulled out the articles. "It has something to do with a "Midnight Eclipse. Do you know anything about it?" he asked.

OOC: Accepted, and as far as symbol ,goes. Edward elric and Alphonse wear a snake coiled around a cross as their symbol.

 

"Yes I am aware of the reports though I don't know too much about it. I'm not sure but I believe that might be why they're requesting Xioimara back to headquarters." Armstrong started. "Though I'm not too sure. It is odd that someone would only kidnap somebody on the Midnight Eclipse." He stated. "We don't know too much about it." He concluded. The train would be coming to a halt at Central soon, the general estimated.

Charlene, was in the back cart of the train. As soon as she took a nap she expected to be in it until her ride to Central was over, but sadly the sleep man had other plans. The brunette made her way towards the other carts in hope to see the other passengers and perhaps find someone who was selling food; hunger though was on not such a problem currently. She made sure to keep her State Alchemist watch on her belt-loop and in her pocket; total respect giver. AS she walked on she kept wobbling, unbalanced as the train went on.

 

Ed looked at Armstrong. "That makes sense." he said, "I mean, a wolf connected to an eclipse that happens at midnight during the full moon? Pretty coincidential."

Xoram opened one eye and saw Charlene walking by. "You lose something?" he asked her, "Or you gonna take me down?"

 

Charlie stopped, both arms out slightly to keep balance. "T-Take you down? N-No. I'm just....Looking around." she stammered; fighting was not something she liked too much. "Why would I take you d-down?" Charlene then grabbed onto the seat Xoram was sitting at for balance.

 

Xoram snorted. "Relax, I'm just kidding." he looked over at Ed and his group. "You see the short kid with the blond hair in a braid? See the girl next to him? I need help saving her." he told Charlene. "I'm Xoram, what's your name?" he asked

 

Charlene laughed nervously, that was good, just a joke. She took a glance at the short blonde boy and got a good look at his group. Wait....Weren't two of them in the military? Wasn't he a state alchemist? "I'm Charlene, but most call me Charlie. Why do you have to save the girl?"

"I doubt Xioimara would be connected to the disappearances..." Armstrong stated. "She strives for justice more than anything. For the most part anyways." He did remember the last time he had to watch Xioimara. She would leave to go out and run on full moons. "Though she does feel especially empowered on full moons. I'm not so sure about eclipses. I suppose it could be a possibility."

The red wolf lay in grass next to an older woman and man. They looked oddly like her in a way. The woman placed a hand on Xioimara. She smiled and opened her eyes. The ground turned cold and sandy. She looked around her. It was pitch-black, she heard the sounds of waves crashing and caught a glimpse of the full moon. The full moon was always a welcome sight for Xioimara. It gave her strength when food or water wasn't availible. It was what had kept her going for the months she had been away from the military.

The moon melted away and the ground turned to cement. She stood in her human form against a cement wall. She looked in front of her at a line of armed men taking aim at her. Xioimara took a step back, almost screaming, as she fell off of that world and into darkness. Xioimara twisted, trying in vain to see the ground. It appeared almost instantly and she stopped and stood on top of a sky scraper. Xioimara looked down at the world below her and just like that the building collapsed and disappeared under her. Xioimara woke up with a start.

She jumped and with a rather disturbed face, moved away from Armstrong. "Sorry..." She muttered. Xioimara leaned up against the window, still trying to wake up from sleep.

 

"I Don't have to save her, I want to save her. The reason why is because she may have something to do with the Midnight Eclipse and I'm not gonna let Elric solve the case." he said with extreme disdain.

Ed looked at Armstrong. "I guess..." he noticed Xioimara jump up suddenly What a spaz he thought. Suddenly, he realized his little brother hadn't talked for a while. "Hey Al, you doing ok? You're kinda quiet." he said.

 

Charlie knew of the Midnight Eclipse case, and now she was sure she knew the state Alchemist and the soldier in the group, but she wasn't so sure on what Xoram was doing. But it was better then idling going on the train carts, looking hopeless and lost. "I'll help out, though I'm not so sure what you would want me to do. I'm just on way to Central, but I suppose I have a bunch of time on my hands." the Brunette smiled.

 

Al looked from the window to his brother. "I'm okay, brother. Just thinking about the Midnight Eclipse." He responded. Alphonse wasn't too sure where Edward was going with bringing the girl into this, but his brother did have his ways.

Armstrong went quiet once Xioimara was awake. He doubted she heard any of the conversation if she was really asleep but it wouldn't be nice to talk about their suspicions right in front of her. "We have about a half-hour left I believe before out stop." He said on another note.

Xioimara ignored them as they became quieter once she was awake. She could care less about what they were conversing. She wasn't feeling so hot now. Something just felt wrong now. Xioimara looked at the three and then looked back out the window.

 

"I'm headed to Central as well. Mustang needs to see me, but before that The Wild Wolf of the East will "escape" got it?" he told her.

"So you guys need to know about the Midnight Eclipse? I'd like to help."
Ed turned towards where the voice had come from. "Who are you?"

 

Al looked towards the face of the voice that had been eavesdropping on them apparently. He agreed with his brothers question and waited patiently for an answer.

Xioimara felt her nerves kicking her in the stomach. She wanted to leave right then and there once their eavesdropping stranger dropped into the conversation. Xioimara glanced at Edward and Alphonse then to Armstrong. This was all wrong somehow. Xioimara seemingly looked to ignore the two unfamiliar faces. "I need to call my friend. She's probably worrying about me suddenly disappearing..." Xioimara started, looking at Major Armstrong. Xioimara gave him an urgent look.

She sometimes loved and hated her keen sixth sense of danger.

"You can call her once we get to Central." Armstrong reassured. He did take notice of her urgency. He was confident that she would be just fine under his guard.

 

"I'm Ling Yao." said the boy smiling. He was taller than Ed, but appeared to be around his age. "You guys are?"
"I'm Ed." he told him. "Nice to meet you?" he hoped Armstrong would notice this guy.

OOC: Decide on a color for Al cuz Ling's is gonna get Darker when he fuses with Greed.

 

"I'm Alphonse." Alphonse said happily to meet someone new. He was still a little bothered by the fact that Ling Yao had been eavesdropping but he supposed everyone did at one point or another. It can't be helped.

"Major General Alex Louis Armstrong!" Armstrong stated clearly and powerfully to Ling. It was only natural that the Major would add on a flex of his muscles as he introduced himself.

Xioimara eyes Ling cautiously. She didn't feel right. Xioimara decided only to give him her last name. "Dwyre." She said. Xioimara was never fond of telling someone her name right off the bat. On top of it, anyways, her Alchemist and real name were well associated together. She didn't want the humiliation of someone actually knowing she was caught.

Ling looked at Xioimara. "The Wild Wolf of the East, caught already?" he looked at Al and Armstrong. "Good to meet you both." he said with a smile.

Ed leaned toward Xioimara. "I think he knows you." he whispered to her, "Be on guard Wolfie." he added.

 

Xioimara scowled at Ling Yao. 'As if.' Xioimara looked at Ed and then back to Ling. She didn't like his character at all. It almost smelled of danger. "You better do yourself a goddamn solid and leave. Don't you know how rude it is to eavesdrop on somebody like that?" Xioimara stared into Ling's eyes, waiting on him to leave.

Al looked at Xioimara as she offended their new guest. Though he could agree and she seemed more than happy to make him feel excluded from their small group.

Armstrong stared at Xioimara once she said this to Ling. She really wasn't scared to offend anybody. He was unsure of apologizing to Ling or agreeing with Xioimara. She did have a point.
