Fullmetal Alchemist: The Midnight Eclipse

Alphonse sighed. "Maybe we should just let things work themselves out." Alphonse suggested. Once they were at the hospital he tried stopping multiple nurses for help but they swished by like he didn't exist. "Excuse me," He finally said to a doctor. "Our friend is badly hurt and needs help."

The doctor paused with some hesitation. He looked at the charts on his clipboard and back up at them. "Give me a minute. I need to let them know I'm leaving."

 

"Thank you." Edward told the doctor. He turned back to Al. "That seems to be th best thing to do." he said.

 

Alphonse agreed. "Especially at this time of night." He added. Alphonse watched as the doctor came back with a medical kit at hand. He started back towards Izumi's house. Alphonse hoped all this company wouldn't drive Teacher insane. He hoped she'd just stay asleep if they were lucky. "Brother, do you think they'll attack us again?" He asked quietly, to avoid the conversation dropping onto their doctor's ears.

Armstrong heard the familiar steps of Alphonse's body coming towards the house. Armstrong stepped outside to see if it was really them. "Just in time." Armstrong said, looking at the doctor. "Thank you." Armstrong led the doctor to see Xioimara.

The doctor could see the blood stains on Xioimara's shirt. He looked to the others. "Can you please leave to the other room?" He requested, placing his kit on the floor.

Xioimara heard the doctor's voice and felt a spark of hope ignite in her. She was on the verge of screaming the more she thought about her wounds.

The old man breathed in and came forward with the truth. There was no point to hiding it. "You have the memories of Trisha Elric," His voice rasped as he spoke. "Because you were the Elric brothers attempted," He paused to catch his breath. "Human transmutation. It failed and so I brought you under my wing as one of my creations."

 

"More than likely." he told Al. In the other room, he decided no to tell Al his theory just yet.
"We need to not talk so your teacher doesn't wake up." Ling told them.
Xoram said nothing.

"So it's true... we Homunculi are from failed human transmutations..." she said.

 

Xioimara's eyes grew wide as he examined her wounds and then pulled out a needle and thread. Her stomach dropped and she felt sick. "No anaestetics?" She whined. Stitches were on her top ten of things she hated.

The doctor looked at her uneasily. "We're low on medicine at the hospital and it's too risky..." He said as he threaded his needle. "I can only sew up the openings... The wounds should heal through in a few months." He leaned closer with the needle and started to stitch the first wound.

Xioimara looked up at the ceiling, feeling a little faint as he started. 'Don't look. Don't look.' She was thankful she hadn't eaten anything and even hoped she would pass out. Xioimara shook her head. "Gross..." She whined. Her skin was quickly becoming painfully numb and red with irritation.

Lust nodded.

"It is true." Father agreed with Sloth. It was better she knew now, he supposed. The memories were bound to come back.

 

"I see... that is why I hesitated to harm them at the Hotel..." she said.

 

"You shouldn't allow dead emotions to stop you from completing your work." Lust remarked towards Sloth. She was a little annoyed that the woman hadn't even tried to look past those memories.

"Let's try not to be so harsh, Lust..." The old man started. He spoke as if he only had one lung. "I do recall you having emotional issues when your past started to collect itself." He recalled. "These emotions will be dealt with and possibly forgotten, Sloth." Father told her. "Try not to let them override you."

Armstrong nodded. "Or at least be quiet so that Xioimara can't hear us." Armstrong noted. He didn't know how long this procedure was going to take or what was happening for that matter. Armstrong did have the proper mind to trust the Elric's descision on a doctor. He was sure that whatever happened would happen for the better.

"If I may ask what are you doing here, Xoram?" Armstrong finally asked, looking over at The Storm Alchemist. "And for that matter, did you know we were here?"

Alphonse watched as Armstrong and another stranger, around his brother's age, talked. He was also curious to know where Xoram came from and why he just happened to end up at Izumi's house. Alphonse looked at his brother. He decided they would probably pick up their conversation later on when times were feeling a little less hectac.

Xioimara breathed unevenly as the doctor worked. She glanced down at her wounds that were being stitched together and felt a faintness come over her. "I think I might faint." She shakily warned the doctor. Xioimara was shaking with tension and pain. "I think I might faint." She repeated a little louder and sounded, as well as looked, a lot more pale.

The doctor stopped his work on Xioimara as she started to repeat herself. "Perhaps you should lay down then." He suggested. He had better light if she was sitting up but he preferred she lay down if she was so borderline to passing out. He didn't blame her for it. He could easily see she had a fever and was obviously in pain. "Someone please bring me a wet facecloth!" The doctor ordered as he resumed his work once Xioimara was laying down.

Mr. Sig stood by with the others just in case anything went wrong. He wasn't too fond of Xoram being here. Their house seemed to be invaded with strangers. Sig moved to go retrieve water and a cloth at the doctor's request.

 

"I was looking for Ling and the Wild Wolf of the Esat." he replied.

 

Armstrong looked at Ling. "So you two are aquainted then?" Armstrong wondered aloud. "How come Xioimara though?" Armstrong wasn't one-hundred percent sure that The Wild Wolf of the East and The Storm Alchemist were aquainted but he was pretty aware of the fact that Xioimara almost never introduced herself to anyone in the military unless required. Armstrong looked to the doorway of the room that Xioimara was in once a scream errupted. "What's happened?" He asked, moving quickly over to the doorway. He looked in at the doctor.

"The needle went too deep." The doctor muttered and continued to work, with the help of Mr.Sig holding Xioimara down. "I'm almost done." He informed Xioimara.

Alphonse looked into the room as Xioimara shouted. He had never had stitches but heard they were quite a hassel. Alphonse hoped it didn't wake Teacher at all. He became a little more nervous as Xioimara started to retaliate Mr. Sig's grip. "Xioimara, please just bear with it a little longer...!" He pleaded.

Xioimara's world rippled as pain shocked her nerves and reverberated through her body. She screamed with a startle and was held down. "Stop!" She shouted. "Stop this!" Xioimara begged as she was held down. She calmed down a tiny bit once the doctor announced he was almost done. Xioimara tried to relax and lay back down. She had the cloth placed over her eyes to reduce her fever and stress.

 

"He was from Xing till he moved to Central." Ling said.

"I'm looking for my sister and I think she can help me." Xoram said.

"That clears this up." Ed said. He heard a scream and looked over. "Hold on Xioimara! It's almost over!" he said.

Izumi saw a lot of people in her house. She threw another knife but this time (unknowingly) at Alphonse. "WHY ARE YOU ALL IN MY HOUSE!? LEAVE NOW!!!" she bellowed.

"Oh god! Not good!" Ed said as his Teacher yelled at them.

 

Alphonse was hit with the knife but it merely fell from him with a clank. "Teacher, please! Our friend is hurt!" He cried, flinching in fear of an impending knife storm. He could hear the screaming was definently getting to Xioimara in the next room.

"Major! Please take her from here!" Mr. Sig started as he heard his wife had obviously awoken in the other room. Once Armstrong was there he went to go calm his wife. "Izumi, they didn't have anywhere to go. Their friend is hurt." He tried to ameliorate her rage.

Xioimara had simply resorted to whining and biting down on her lip to keep from crying out again. "Please, shut up!" She finally shouted as chaos blew up in the neighboring room. She was now being watched by Armstrong just in case she fought back again, least to say was humiliating. Xioimara whined a little bit louder and tried to calm down. She was jittery and distressed.

"Only a few more stitches now, you're doing fine." The doctor tried to ignore the yelling and just finish the job.

 

Ed almost wet his pants when Teacher screamed.
"An old Banshee hag?" Xoram said, ready to battle.
"Nah, s'just an old lady." Ling said.
Izumi was about to strangle them. "Old lady huh?" she said.
"Mr. Sig! Detain her!" Ed said jumping back.

 

Mr. Sig shot the two boys a glare as they mocked his wife. He stepped in front of Izumi. "Let's go upstairs and talk." He calmly advised her. He could tell Ed and Al were about to jump out windows with terror.

Alphonse had his arms over his head ready for the worst as Xoram and Ling tried to show up their teacher. They would so be in for it if they didn't show some respect. They had no idea of what power Teacher posessed. He hoped that Mr. Sig would be able to calm her down. He had to have some power or else, Al was sure, Sig would have been dead long ago.

Xioimara started to cry as the real pain and numbness of her new stitches and wounds set in. "I swear, I'll throw that wench off a cliff once I get a hold of her." Xioimara reminded herself as well as Armstrong.

The doctor stood up and packed away his tools. "You should have the stitches taken out in about a month, or at least have them replaced. Those wounds are going to take a long time to mend themselves. Don't be going out and doing stupid things." He warned her. The doctor turned to Armstrong. "Thank you for the help."

"How much will this be?" Armstrong asked, nodding as the doctor thanked him.

He shook his head. "Our hospital is mostly volunteer." He said. The doctor was wise to wait this out until there was some sign that it would be safe to leave without being attacked.

Xioimara sat up tiredly and took the cloth off her face. She pulled her shirt back on and stared blankly as she tried to comprehend how much longer until the pain would cease. "Thank you." She finally said to the doctor. Xioimara stood up after a while and headed to the next room to see what the fuss was about.

 

"Alright." Izumi said to sig. She went upstairs to the room.

Ed turned to Ling and Xoram. "People from Xing are idiots you know that?" he said with a smile that hid his rage at them.

Ling looked at Xioimara enter. "Hey! Look who's better now!" he said. He noticed Ed was still looking at him with that creepy 'I'm gonna kill you' smile on his face.

"In fact, they're so stupid, they have no idea how stupid they are." he said.

 

Xioimara agreed with Edward. "You're just now realizing this?" She retorically said to Edward. She knew they were at least half the reason Xioimara had to listen to a woman scream at their group. She cocked her eyes at Ling. "You and I have a very diverse definition of better." She said bitterly. Xioimara looked as the doctor left and then to Armstrong. Her heart was still thundering in her chest and adrenaline pumped through her veins. She would've attacked all of them if she wasn't scared of her stitches tearing. Xioimara sighed and rolled her eyes.

"You have no idea the amount of power that Teacher holds!" Alphonse added as Edward was ready to murder Ling and Xerom in their tracks.

Mr. Sig followed Izumi upstairs. "Their friend was attacked by... Something... They needed somewhere to come while Ed and Al went to get help." He explained to his wife.

 

"Hey guys," he said holding up a hand, ""Shut up." he looked at Ling and Xoram again. "You guys are the most IRRESPONSIBLE MOTHERF*CKING SONS OF B*TCHES FROM XING I'VE EVER MET!!!! IF YOU EVER SPEAK TO TEACHER LIKE THAT AGAIN I WILL GUT YOU LIKE FISHES AND HANG YOU ON MY WALL, CAPPESH!!!!? he bellowed. He was panting deeply afterward.
Ling just looked at Ed in surprise.
Xoram was just standing there. "Y-yes...." he said quietly.

"Why didn't you wake me?" she asked. She heard Ed bellow at Xoram and Ling. "Well, Edward still stands up for me." she said with a small smile.

 

"We both know you need your rest now and days. I didn't want you to be anymore stressed out for the night." Sig told her. He smiled as he heard Edward from downstairs.

Xioimara stared at Edward once he was done with his small rant. She did have a new respect for him. "You're a little more different than I thought, Alpine." Xioimara grinned but it quickly faded with pain as she moved. She stood up straight though, despite a discomforting shoot of pain in her chest. "We should probably head out tomorrow..." She suggested. They had been greatly side-tracked by this dumb attack. Xioimara was thoroughly fed up with the woman that attacked her. She wanted her dead. "Those bitches will just follow us. We can take care of them another time." Xioimara said with some distaste towards Lust. Xioimara already had a dislike for other females, one that was beautiful and had humiliated her only made Xioimara angrier.

Alphonse backed up a little as his brother broke out with rage. "Not too harsh, B-brother!" Alphonse added, but he did approve of this. If Ling and Xoram were about to degrade Teacher because she was a female or older, maybe both, Edward would always be there to put them in their place.

Armstrong looked at Edward as he exploded. He did respect Edward's huge personality despite his size. He looked at Xioimara as she finally spoke up. It was easy to read on Xioimara's face that she was beyond P.O.'d about this woman attacking her. "It's up to Edward and Alphonse." Armstrong added. They had the lead in this until Xioimara figured out more of the Midnight Eclipse. Armstrong was simply there as a bodyguard.

 

"Whatever." Ed said. "I don't care. I'll be back inthe morning and I want you two out when I'm back." he said to Ling and Xoram. They P.O.'d him when they said those things to Teacher. He walked away and slammed the door as he left. He had no idea where he was going. He saw an abandoned warehouse and decided to check it out. "Hello? Anyone here?"
Ling never knew Ed was like that. he did respect the fact that he stood up for his Teacher. He was hurt that Ed wanted him and Xoram gone by morning though. "C'mon Xoram, we better go." he said sadly.
"Ok..." Xoram said. He hated seeing the Young Lord like this but they owed it to Ed and his group to be gone.

Izumi went downstairs. "Where's Edward?" she asked them.

"Okay Father..." Sloth said. She heard Edward call out. "Is that him?" she wondered out loud.

 

Xioimara's face lit up as Edward told Xerom and Ling to leave. "I knew you two were bad news..." Xioimara muttered with a wolfish smile. She looked at Edward as he left. "Wait, don't go." Xioimara warned. She followed after him quickly, moving as fast as she could even with her stitches. "Have you forgotten a wench with wicked nails just impaled me? They're still out there!" She said to him as he walked away. She felt stiff from the stitches and decided it would be best for her health not to catch up.

Armstrong watched as Edward left. "He'll be okay. His brother is going to be with him. Those two are quite the fighters." Armstrong reassured Xioimara. He turned to see Izumi wondering where Edward had gone off to. "He went for a walk to cool down." Armstrong told her.

Alphonse left quickly to keep up with his brother. "Brother, what's wrong?" He asked, catching up to him. Alphonse stopped looking up at the warehouse. "This isn't such a good idea, Brother." Alphonse commented.

Lust's interests peaked as she heard a familiar voice echo through the warehouse. "Looks like we have company." She said, looking sideways at Sloth.

"They'll know where we reside if we attack." Father decided. He shook his head as Lust became excited for this.

"They'll know where we are whether or not we attack."

 

"I honestly think I've lost all sense as to what's a good idea and what's not..." Ed said gloomily."You're stuck in that thing, Xioimara's hurt, I probably am gonna be wanted in Xing for what I said to Ling, and Teacher expelled us... What if everything I do is a bad idea?" he said.

"Let's attack. I need to know that I will do what Trisha Elric wouldn't and that is killing the Elric brothers." Sloth said.
Wrath hated seeing mother like this, but he decided against talking her and Lust out of it.

"I see..." she looked at Ling and Xoram. "They pissed him off didn't they?"
"Be seeing you Major." Xoram said to his comrade.
"Bye." Ling said simply.
