I just got a 71 on my Calc II test. I have no idea what the fuсk I am going to tell my parents. I am so fuсked right now.

Tell them you passed.

 

Tell them calculus is useless so it doesn't even matter :D

 

"Well, darn. I got over a 70. I met the school board's standards. How devastating. I met expectations."

Tell them that.

 

Tell them things didn't go as well as you'd hoped, but you passed and that's what matters.

 

Oh hey, it's "Let's use swears for no reason because it makes me look badass!" Yet again with Slaughtermatic as host! Oh I love this show.

Seriously though, those aren't bad results, just tell them that you passed. If it's really that bad then tell them you'll do better on the next, or you can just not tell them. It's up to you.

 

Tell them this; You passed. BUT also add that you worked your hardest on it (Show them that you're serious)

ALSO NEVER EVER EVER Compare your grade with the rest of the class, nor tell them that the subject doesn't matter in real life (Sorry sweetie who posted that up there) I tried using those as ways of telling them but it only got me hit! So NO! It would only make things worse if you did such!

I've literally never not gotten an A on a test until Calculus II. They expect A LOT out of me at this point.

 

Apologize and tell them that you will try harder the next time.

 

That ended up being what I did. They weren't amused, but I still might be able to get this up to an A I work hard enough.

So if you were to get a B+ overall whats the worse that could happen?
Honestly, expectations of greatness are nice, but cheesy statements like these trump them every time.

 

I really DO know your situation...just as long as your parents DON'T threaten to leave your family if you don't try harder you'll be JUST FINE!

Just study your butt off and work harder. It'll pay off. That's really all you can do.

 

Tell them to go fuck themselves. You'll work as hard as you can and if that's not good enough for them, they can get fucked. If you could tell how serious I am, you'd be scared.

I would get grounded for six months if I pulled something like that. The slightest bit of a hint of "disrespect" is enough to set my parents off.

 

I've got an uncle like that. I once got a half hour lecture from him because when he asked where my mom whet I said "She's over there" evidently he doesn't like pronouns.

 

I was a straight-A student up until a few years ago. It's boring as hell and makes you paranoid of getting grades that are actually perfectly respectable. Some of my favorite classes, ones in which I learned the most, netted me C's. Tell them low- to mid-level grades build character. c:

 

Just study, try your hardest, all the other crap you heard, etc
