Unfortunately, there are no good free programs, but a good purchasable one for burning DVDs is Roxio Easy VHS to DVD.

Well first of all you'll probably have better luck if your thread title mentions the problem, lol. I can change it for you?

And secondly, do you mean just put it on the DVD-R as a file or actually author a DVD (i.e. have menus and stuff)?

If he's talking about menus, Roxio Easy VHS to DVD has an option to add / make menus.

Well, that's the thing, you're going to be hard-pressed to find free downloadable software that will do that. Often, computers will come with software that can do that -- it's sometimes bundled into video editing software, have you checked?

Otherwise most computers should be able to write directly to the disc without the menus and stuff, when you put the blank disc in does it give you an option to burn files to it? A lot of times it's as easy as just dragging and dropping the files onto it, depends on the type of disc and computer or OS I suppose though.

Also, I changed the thread title to make it clearer in case someone who knows a definite answer sees it.

    firstly: thanks

secondly: yes apparent-ly a program called DVD-flick is here its embarrassingly easy to use, but i wanna be able to make good menus like in nero (but nero wont work correctly on my pc)
